I logged in and saw the quest starter in the crown store. Grabbed it and used a wayshrine to teleport to the event zone. Once inside, the compass marker showed me that I needed to head into a portal to get to the person the quest was asking me to speak to. Instead, the portal was actually the exit.
The person hadn't fully loaded with the lag in the zone before I had up and left so I returned and waited. The marker still showed me using the exit portal but by looking around I was able to find the person I needed and was able to complete the initial quest to unlock the house.
That is the full extent of "testing" and experience I will be doing with the Night Market zone. I don't do trials and only sometimes do dungeons and based on feedback already given, you pretty much need to have trial experience and groups in order to not play "die and run" over and over. That is not content, that is frustration.
On the house, there was no option to preview it by clicking on the map, clicking on the door, or anything else I could think of before I did the quest and acquired it. You should let people view it to see if they even want to bother with the initial quest. Adding to that, there is no way to see what the wings would look like to know if you are really missing out on something or not.
Since I cannot see what I am missing, I have no desire to try to form up with groups to even consider unlocking the wings.I think I will just use something to hide the doors so I don't even see them. I didn't try yet but I hope I can remove the wall safe and throw it away since I cannot use it. I'll just place my banker in the front area in the cage room for convenience.
Every activity, including trials, should have a queueable option, which would solve a lot of the complaints I see regarding required forced grouping. I don’t know why they took this feature away when—for those who recall—queueing for trials actually used to be a thing back in the craglorn days. So the tech is there but ZOS still thinks imposing friction for group content then making said group content the entire crux of an update is a good thing.
Please don't nerf/reduce the difficulty. Finally nice to see some challenging group content that requires you to interact with others. Been way too much content catered to the casual solo audience for too long. First time in over 6 months I'm genuinely interested to play the game.
Why is the Thousand Eyes so much ahead of the other two factions by at least two to three times? What's so special about joining this one and if the score doesn't reset occasionally (1x/week), then there is no competition aspect given how much ahead they are of Glittering and Ruckus.
I asked this in another thread, does the difficulty mode they are releasing later on affect this? The top mode will be for the 0.01% rather than the 1%.
Word can't explain how disappointed i am with this trash mob filled event.
walk through the first event door to be smashed buy 15 mobs at once WHO thinks this is enjoyable.
i have never been so disappointed in ESO and i was a beta backer.
you're player base is almost entirely made up of solo players and then you dump this hot mess on us.
There are so many things about this new zone which I do not like.
The lack of explanations for things like the boulder game is bizarre. I have no idea what to do here.
The forced respawn at the elevated platforms and the inability to self-rez like in PVE land are two huge pain points.
The emptiness in the districts due to the broken instancing make it impossible to complete objectives.
While I don't mind the difficulty of an individual mob member, some of the packs of mobs have far too many members. That may be fine when you're fighting mudcrabs; but it's a problem when the mobs have 2-3x the health and resistance of a dolmen boss, for instance.
The inability to mount is a pain.
The sand walls which cannot be crossed without some trinket that seems very difficult to obtain is a needless frustration which serves no worthwhile purpose except to annoy players.
There seems to be a very low drop rate of the shards or whatever they are called unless you defeat a named boss. Maybe one of these achievements tracks how many or which ones have been collected as I have no idea how a player could maintain a handle on these.
There were no notifications when destroying the weapon racks until you had interacted with it several times before the game told me I had completed that rack. I have no idea if this is intentional or a bug.
I fully understand this new event zone was not designed for players like me and that's fine. However, there are so many problems and pain points that I am not even inclined to deal with the mess of it all.
