Hello everyone. I wanted to make a spot, and im sure others have too, where we can voice our concerns and potential solutions to cross play and cross progressions. Hopefully we can keep it about what your concerns are and not issues with other's, cause everyone's voice matters.
Here are my concerns and solutions to each, I play on PS NA for the sake of my point of view.
Economy/traders
One specific concern with this I have is if the platforms merge together a lot of guilds will be left out of ever having the ability of having a trader. Some have stated to do away with the trader system as we have now for a global market, but I feel like the trading system is one of the biggest unique things Eso has. Also a global market will have huge impacts on the economy because of the massive amount of items people will be selling at one specific spot, and its almost an rng roll on whether your items get picked out of the thousands to sell. As it is now if you want to be able to sell more stuff or purchase more at one place, you go to a guild with a convient expensive trader, like Elden Root or Mournhold. If you are looking for a deal you could hunt around the different lower priced out of the way traders, like Lillandril or Morkul Stronghold. This makes the market more dynamic and gives the players freedom to either go with the first they find of an item or look around to try and find a deal. With the lack of guilds having a trader, the prices of them will sky rocket to and astronomical price, putting a lot of smaller guilds out of business.
A solution I've had is to have more traders. So take somewhere like Lillandril. They have 3 traders at the city, the numbers could be tripled for that area since there a 3 platforms coming together. It will give more traders to bid at allowing for more guilds and more selection to be present. It will also give those area more npcs and a more lively market, as now, since there are more traders there, it will give more of a reason for people to go out of their way and shop there. Now im not saying triple all the locations maybe just add a few to the areas that have some, put another in the outlaws refuges, and maybe add some to towns that dont have any like Vulkwasten. This will also give a huge amount of items on the market.
Character/Guild Names
A lot of people have concerns about having to change their name, share names but with numbers at the end, and Guild names to completely change. All of these could change the identity of your character or guilds.
This is the hardest one ive found a solution for but someone made a point I thought was interesting. Instead of just ripping off the band aid and making people change character names or putting a string of numbers at the end, put an identifier for what platform that character was from. So like my character Estel of Gil-Var-Delle was made on Playstation so I own that name on Playstation, put a "#PS" at the end. This would make it to where people wouldn't have to change names and be identified by what platform they were on so they know that Estel#PS is not the same person as Estel#Pc. Also if you owned the name on all platforms then when they merged onto one account you wouldn't have to change their names either on your own account. And this could hidden in certain menus. So like text chat have it or nameplates, but not on character screen or character sheets, since only the player sees that. This could also be done to guilds aswell. Example Guild-Pc, Guild-Ps, or Guild-Xbox. No one would have to worry about changing names or guild's names and maybe the devs could do this on their end more efficiently then us doing it one by one at login or something.
Bank Inventory
Bank inventories being merged would be a hectic thing especially if you have over the amount when all you accounts inventories merge into one.
A solution would be doing something similar to what is already done when you run out of ESO+ with stuff in your craft bag. Allow you to be over the cap but not allow you to put anything in until you get it under cap. Now this would be a pain but its just a solution I've thought of since its already done with the craft bag.
Housing
One thing I thought would be a concern is housing. If people own a house on multiple platforms, example I own Twin-Arches on Xbox and Ps. What happens to the house when the merge happens? I have it decorated one way on Playstation and another on Xbox. What would happen to all the furnishings aswell?
The solution that has come to mind is not great but still one none the less. Allow you to pick which version of the home you want to have or maybe have "house builds". If you were allowed to pick which version you want all your furnishings from the other would aswell go into your bank, would create a lot of inventory management issues. The house builds however would allow you to have your items setup and swappable between looks and items kind of like outfits or builds. This could be cool just as a thing for people who decorate one house for different holidays.
Chests
People have chests on different platforms with different items in each.
The solution could just be as simple as allow more chests, so when the merge happens you just have all the chests with the stuff already in them ready to go. Also since there is so much to collect in this game it would be a nice thing anyways to have more storage at you house.
Player Level
Just something I thought about was how, if you are like me, would your level be affected if you play on multiple platforms?
I think simply taking the highest level account or like somewhat pro rating the levels onto one account. Like if they added all mine I would probably be level 3000 but more experience gain is needed at higher Champion level so just adding them wouldn't be correct imo. So like looking at the percentages of experience needed to level and pro rate them that way, so maybe I'd be level 2500 or something rather then 3000. I definitely have not earned 3000 ranks worth of xp across all platforms lol.
Community
This is less of a concern and more my take on the discussions of difference withing communities.
I have played on all platforms and find that the way people play, talk, and maybe get a little crazy are pretty much all the same. I can go onto the Xbox and feel like im still on Playstation, other then the controller. Most of the people are nice in this community and the ones that might get crazy all have their own spots anyways. I think this is not much of an issue.
Communication/Voice Chat
I was curious if we would have proximity chat on the merged servers since we already have it on console. Would PC players gain it or would consoles lose it in favor of strictly text chat? Also concerns have been made about the issues that console people can't communicate through text chat as fast as on PC.
This is a point that I would like to make about the console players not being able to communicate as quick. WE HAVE KEYBOARDS. I feel like a lot of people on Pc think that we are just screwed for text chat, but in reality we have the ability to use keyboards and type quickly in text chat and use slash commands with the keyboards as well on console. Of course we cant use them as a game pad and play with them, but a lot of us use keyboards, or get told by others to simply plug in a keyboard. Most of the players in my guild have switched to using keyboard for typing. This is a player choice on whether they want to use one on console. Voice chat would be one that I think ZoS should make available for Pc players so everyone can just have another in-game way of communicating.
Closing
These are just some of the thing I could think of as issues and potential solutions. Obviously it is to early to tell if any of this matters, but maybe this and all of your's concerns and solutions can be taken into consideration.

Sorry if anything is misspelled or doesnt flow right. Im on mobile and see this in a very small text box lol.
