I would prefer it not get implemented.

But if it does I would prefer some settings be put into place.

Push to talk
Settings to limit to players in group, friends only, and proximity.
Disable cross faction talking in pvp.
Allow me to opt out.
Players on you ignore list cant speak to you
An increase to the ignore list.

I keep mine in the bank so I don't accidentally spend it. When my mouse was going bad it would double click instead of single click when I was trying to preview items on the luxury furnishing vendor and other merchants. It's also more convenient because no matter which character I'm on or where I am I can just summon my banker and take out whatever gold I need when I need it.

Well, let’s hope ZoS doesn’t turn all of ESO into Dark Souls style, because let’s be real… there’s absolutely no need for that. They could make it as hard as they want, but they could and should keep the “normal” mode for solo players.
Half an hour with help? Without help, you’ll be there for an hour just to complete one simple quest... come on... there’s no reason for this...

I can't control that someone else was in the night market. I was alone for the majority of the video but another person did randomly start following me for some trash packs. You'll also notice I kept rezzing that person so even in fights that they helped on, they were not helping the entire fight. They ended up quitting. Whether they died too much or had simply finished their objective I don't know because I do not know that person.

There was a second person in your video as well. Should I claim that you're too bad to even do stuff in a group? Or does it only count as soloing when it fails?

I tried to reasonably meet your criteria. I did not use the group finder and ended up in an empty instance where I only ever encountered one other person to battle with.

I used a heavy attack sorceror build because you were the one to mention it and it's a well known and popular casual friendly build.

I killed 75 enemies mostly alone. The first packs that illustrated it could be done were completely alone.

I can't control the actions of others. So that is not a reasonable criticism. This is an MMO. There will be other people in zones.

I'm sorry that you're not having a good time. But, this is meant to be a guide to help others. So, I ask that if all you want to do is argue about how much you don't like other people exist on the same map in a group zone, you do that in the thread that you created for that purpose.

I'd also like this instead of relying on 3rd party software and entering in website addresses in alt tab while trying to pvp is awful.

Locking new content behind mandatory groups shuts out players who work. That’s not good design. Good MMO design respects different playstyles. This feels like it forgot solo players exist.

I get why this sounds like a cool feature, but I don’t think area voice chat really fits an MMO like this, at least on PC.

Voice chat on PC is already covered by things like Discord. It’s basically the standard at this point. People use it because it’s easy, reliable, and you have full control over who you talk to. If you want voice, you just hop into a call with the people you actually want to talk to.

Open-world voice chat sounds nice in theory, but in practice it can get messy fast. In crowded areas it would just turn into noise, and unlike text chat you can’t really ignore it as easily.

And since it would be optional, it risks splitting the player base, some people would use it, but many wouldn’t, which means it wouldn’t become a consistent or dependable way to communicate anyway. Even more than that actually, it can divide groups of friends that already exist into those 2 sides.

Also, voice chat usually means a more direct and longer interaction. If someone wants that, they can already join a Discord call. That extra step kind of matters, because it means everyone there actually wants to talk.

So yeah, I just don’t really see the benefit on PC. The current setup with text chat in-game and voice chat through external apps already works well and gives people more control over how they communicate. To me and many others it would feel very intrusive to get this feature out of nowhere as it was never there for us.
