I can only imagine how horrible this event zone will be in non-peak hours considering I have seen only three other players in the two districts I have visited during the PC NA prime time hours. If it's a ghost town in prime time, then playing at other times is going to be a complete waste of time and this event zone will be a huge failure.
The Thousand Eyes are just too freakin awesome. It's just beyond comprehension how anyone, after meeting the daedrat and its servile maormer, could make any other choice!
I like dungeons. This was touted as a replacement to dungeons for this year. This dungeon replacement is terrible. If this was an actual dungeon, no one would run it for several reasons. There are too many trash packs that are too closely spaced together. The quests are some of the worst I have seen in group content. Can you find your quest designer and explain that do the same thing repeated three times is not some requirement for every quest in the game? The bosses have way too much health for groups of four and take forever to kill even with the current power creep in the game.
The whole point of running a dungeon is to run around, clear an area, and then deal with a boss. You can't even clear an area in this fiasco due to a ridiculously fast respawn time on trash packs. Figure out a solution or get working on some actual dungeons quickly. This event zone is not a satisfactory replacement for dungeons at all.
Night market is not the new VMA. Your reading too far into it,its designed as group content not a challenge for soloists.
Craglorn was an adventure zone, also meant for groups. If you desire to challenge yourself without a group, this isnt the game for it.
What this has done has essentially punished players who started early and joined one of the other factions. Players who started later could already see which faction was way ahead and join the winning faction. Pretty ridiculous to punish players who wanted to start right away.
My initial experience with Night Market left a sour impression because nobody seemed to be around and I was constantly dying trying to get the quests done.
But eventually more players showed up, I just started tagging along with a group of about 10 others. I was able to get some quests done, I got a 3 skirmishes done. It was fun. Then it evaporated and I'm left alone in the Night Market again.
So it gets real fun when you can find people. But surprisingly there doesn't seem to be very many people participating on the first night. Hopefully it picks up. Because without a population, this thing isn't going to work.
I managed to get in about 800 faction points, nice start and I can see this being a lot of fun if the people show up.
