2. Environmental damage- really don't care for this mechanic. Hard to discern where is safe or not. Whole damn place is light enough to see

I don't mind group activities like the vents in Galen or the dragons, because there are always other players around to help. But with this event, I hardly saw another player and there were none around at all when I was trying to do the first faction quest. This was at PCNA 'prime time' on the first day of the event.

It looks like I'm going to have zero chance of completing these activities in the evenings in my own timezone.

I just spent a couple hours going through the starter quest and picked up some random quests in the zones. And as a solo player, I appreciate ESO scaling up the difficulty. But this seems a bit heavy handed. I can solo some of these encounters, but it takes time and really seems pointless to even bother.

I'm not sure the rewards I've seen so far even look like they are worth this level of difficulty.

Feels like some major rebalancing is needed here. I need more incentive for this level of suckage and I don't see it. But I could be missing something besides the merchants since I am just starting.

It was advertised as designed with groups in mind. They also mentioned being able to go in solo but it would be tough. Based on feedback, even regular size groups are having issues. This does not sound like "with groups in mind" but more with trials in mind.

Either way, it was also advertised as content for all based on the wording of the below quote from today's marketing on the website. I'm an explorer and treasure hunter but this zone is not for me....

Yeah, now I'm done with this crap. I just spent 20 damn minutes grinding against the Hoardmother boss, with people randomly kiting in extra enemies (including healer enemies), but apparently I died at the wrong time, since I GOT NO REWARD AT ALL. This is without a doubt the WORST piece of content that's ever been thought up. Its somehow both boring as heck and makes me want to rip my damn hair out at the same time. Congratulations zos, you finally found something that's actually going to make me skip a monster set I wanted, because NOTHING is worth this.

CP 2.500 soloed anything overland and normal DLC dungeons (vhm base game).

I spent 2 hours in it just to complete the "faction main quest" and 2 dailies - my thumbs hurt!

It's too difficult in solo, to the point it is impossible to solo the various level of bosses.
Trash can be done, but some groups can still kill you; at least they are leashed.

"You can just tag along with other players" someone would say, except for the fact in 2 hours I've barely seen any players. Came across 4 maybe, but everyone doing its own thing.

It seems the only way is a premade group, otherwise it is a waste of health and time.
Also, I'd guess a guild group would be way better than a pug one, since there are millions of activities and achievements and anyone has different priorities on what to do.

In the end, I had really high hopes, but I don't know how much time I'll spend in it, after hurting my thumbs for 2 hours to gain 250 favors.

If only we could see a swarm of random players running around to join them... (Rip console servers?)

Silly me for believing to the "yeah, it's soloable" crowd.

You need to re-obtain the keys each time you complete the 4- and 12-player instances. The relics stay unlocked for good.

WHAT? Re-obtain the keys? Why? I haven't even figured out HOW to get the keys. Slivers, keys, fragments, relics. A FAQ would be nice.

And another "please don't spawn NPCs on top of Oddities" request. Roksa also walks right by an oddity, well within aggro range.

And I was in a 12 player group taking down the spider kith boss in the Skittering area. First, the two groups of NPCs there with the realm shapers kept respawning on is, and then Roksa walked into the area. We probably had 20 people there, and it took well over 10 minutes to take them all down. SO many deaths. At least two of the "Fix Everyone's Gear" repair kits were used during the fight.

Part of the problem is a lot of the people in the fights haven't faced Roksa in her dungeon, or realm shapers, or spider kith, and so don't know what needs to be interrupted or their other mechanics. I had to explain Roksa's dark orbs every time they spawned. Therefore, both the spiderkith and Roksa kept healing back up, because the people who did know the mechanics were constantly in ghost form after rezzing.

And WHY is ghost form so incredibly long? First few times I died I thought I'd DCed because I was a ghost for so long.

Only a very few players are playing, on day 1, the launch, when there should be "excitement". There is none.
I played a little bit just to see whether anything had been changed. Nothing has been changed. Not interested.

That is sad that none of the feedback was taken into account…isn’t that what feedback is for!!

They did take feedback into account, but feedback from players who did not want this to be toned down until it's casual solo-friendly.

This is this year's dungeon content. There will be more solo-friendly content like quest lines and solo dungeons later. This is group content (parts of which can be tackled solo if you're good enough) and should stay like that.

I spent maybe 45 minutes guiding people to the Curator in Fargrave because that hidden path is far too hidden and I saw heaps of people heading into the Night Market. When I headed up the path to the Curator myself there were dozens of people all talking to the Curator at once.

When I got into the Night Market, there was almost nobody there and when I wandered around the Parch I only saw one or two other people. It looks as if the player cap is for the Night Market as a whole rather than for each district. Please tell me that's not true.

Maybe there was a big group of people fighting a boss somewhere, but I couldn't tell.

One of the play styles that was talked about was being able to follow groups around work with them without formally grouping up. That isn't going to work if you can't find anyone else.

I realise it's still the working day in the US, but there is an obvious disparity between how many people are standing outside the Night Market and how many people you see in the Night Market.

Are we really getting the player cap in each district?

First Impression…NOT GOOD!…if you don’t have the right build and know the mechanics of ESO combat, forget about doing anything solo in the Night Market. If you’re a player that enjoys PVE, forget about the Night Market, unless you want the free house.
