Different players in such a large online game obviously enjoy different aspects and you can massively increase your own enjoyment by being open for new aspects and experiences.
Over the past 10 years i started to engage with every aspect of the game and am much happier for it.
Besides, the next 2 seasons will bring the story content you are looking for...

also ,rewards are ...tnx zos for Plague Doc ,and rest garbage set from last century
Sad fun fact: we did try this on the PTS. I said this would be too hard and people would just quit, NOT group up. People who don't like grouping won't magically start doing so for this. I fought probably too much, but I did, and so did a handful of others.
The elites told me to shut up, it's fine. So, enjoy the dead content I guess.
(For the people who will come in a few days with examples of it being not dead, give it a week or two. It will be populated at first, but it will die quickly.)

Is your post supposed to be satire?
meaning is meaningless in a post modern society such as ours. It means, apparently, whatever it means to you and that's valid even if it means something different to me or someone else. It's all things to all peoples in all times whomsoever chooses to give it a meaning. I mean, how can it go wrong?
First impressions aren't great. I had a hell of a time trying to find my group. The initial pop-up to port to the group leader ported me...somewhere, but it wasn't his instance. Second time, I tried porting to someone. Still wasn't in the right instance. Finally, on the third try I got into their instance.
The rewards are also pretty insulting. A blue world drop item that goes for pennies on the trader. It's Destiny's "two tokens and a blue" moment.

Just like PTS, we already know which faction will win this time, and it's unclear whether all three factions will get a chance in first place — we may just see the same one or two factions perpetually win as people choose their next faction solely for the rewards they offer.
Locking fragments, item sets, dyes, and other functional items behind faction choice and giving us FOMO that we may never get to see the Night Market more than three times is just upsetting game design.
It's only a few hours in, so this can absolutely flip around, but already 1 faction has 4x the favor that the other 2 have. It concerns me that people will just join that because they are in the lead, which will just cause even more people to join them and then they have such a majority of the players the other factions will have no chance of winning.
Is there anything in place to account for this, or am I just way overreacting?
