Problem isn't group content or pvp in general. I can see, that those player also want something new and cool.
Problem is ZOS developer team is too small to serve all the different play-styles in an adequate amount of time.
So you want me - die-hard single player - to pay for ESO-Plus and season pass without delivering me any new content for my preferred play style, which would be another new epic main story and quest area worth to explore in my spare free time.
Well, that's not gonna happen.
My ESO-Plus runs out in May and it looks like I'm not continuing it after many years of paying for ESO Plus and Crown Store items.
Making content that not most customers can or want to participate in, might not have been your best idea.

Serpents Disdain is pretty much the only viable 5 piece set for pressure builds in the game right now (plus Relequen for 1v1s which is getting nerfed next patch). If Disdain is nerfed you virtually remove pressure as a playstyle entirely for the majority of classes, since actual DoT skills are so bad that you cant really play a pressure setup without relying on proc sets.
The main problem is that right now the vast majority of sets in the game are horrible and no one will ever consider using them. Instead of nerfing one of the few still good sets in the game ZOS should make other sets good enough to be actually usable.
i have encountered a number of strong pressure setups that do not use this set, they are just overshadowed by it. We are in a burst meta right now too so pressure builds don't stand out, which speaks volumes about how strong Disdain actually is.
I think you are right that other sets sorely require buffs but right now it is more reasonable to bring down the ones that are way too far ahead and are providing far too much power for far too little skill or input.
Serpent's Disdain and Null Arca really stand out when it comes to power to input ratio and in my opinion both need the hammer when it comes to PvP.
Comparing Serpents Disdain to Null Arca is pretty crazy. Plus if we talk about the pressure from this set it’s only Hemo, Burning, and Poisoned that actually deal a damage over time. The rest have debuffs that last 20 seconds that are either negligible or covered by skills. I WILL however cede that the damage from Shattered Path is insanely ridiculous even with the Battle Spirit nerf.

It would be nice to have some more reasons to visit. This was one of my concerns with housing originally, that once you've fully decorated a house there's not much reason to go back, which makes decorating it feel somewhat pointless unless you're part of a decorating guild or whatever.
The assistants and storge chests help a bit with that, the chests are my main reason for visting houses I've finished decorating, but some more options could be nice too.
If ZOS are worried about market manipulation or whatever from private gathering nodes they could limit it in some way. An obvious one is to limit how many you can have - make it like the storage chests where they're the same in every home you put them into so you can have them in all your houses but having 20 houses doesn't let you grow 20 different things.
Another example I've seen from other games is you don't just get a space to plant whatever you want, you collect specific plants (or metals or whatever) kind of like antiquities where they require lots of different tasks and the rarer/more valuable nodes are rarer drops and/or from more difficult tasks. Also they'll only ever be basic versions so no bait or nirncrux or other bonus items, meaning you still have a reason to harvest the ones out in the world as well.
Lots of online games use the same ideas, and it doesn't mean spending lots of time in your home.
For example Guild Wars 2 lets you grow crops (and generate other resources) in your homestead, but it's not like they added a whole farming mini-game. You unlock the harvesting nodes by playing other parts of the game (or trading with other players) and once you've got them it only takes a few minutes once a day at most to harvest all of them. It gives players a reason to visit once per day, but doesn't require they spend much time away from everyone else.
Since that game also gives you a 'rested' buff for logging out in your homestead I think a lot of players go there to log out, then gather resources just before heading out the next day. Which (without gathering resources) is something a lot of role-players in ESO already do.
Honestly I think the most time consuming 'home activity' I've seen in any game outside of farming sims and survival/crafting games is decorating and we've already got that. (Even in Valheim I think I've spent more time creating and decorating a base than hanging around using the crafting stations, because most of them are either instant or can be left to run while I'm out exploring.)

Sad how people refer to procs as pressure playstyle these days. You can still run all stat/dmg sets and still pressure your oppenent with skill/combos etc. It's usually called being better by knowing your rotations/weaving etc.
Procs are the only way to make a pressure setup actually competitive on anything that isnt a DK atm.
Outside of DK skills not one DoT in the game is actually worth a skill slot because they do so little damage. A pressure setup focussing on skill DoTs will never kill competent players with good defense.
The only other way to play a "pressure" build is to have a build that is tanky enough to consistently spam offensive abilities to keep up pressure. That playstyle is very limited to setups that can actually get that tanky while still having damage, which next patch is pretty much exclusively WW and maybe DK.

My PvE stats: 25k HP, 18k MP, and 30k stamina.
weapon and spell damage 2840
My BG stats: 14k HP, 9k MP, and 16k stamina.
weapon and spell damage 1100
level 20 heavy amor without set, all impenetrable
Before this latest update, I could still play some games depending on who I was playing against because my stats weren't broken like they are now.
And now I die in 1 or 2 seconds, meaning I can't play PvP anymore.
You managed to make something that was bad for new players completely unplayable.
Ok let me give you some pvp advices:
Try to reach these stats instead:
30k hp (minimum), i would even say 40k hp for new player
2k REGEN stam or magicka, minimum
30k buffed armor minimum
3k spell/weapon damage
6-10k penetration
keep in mind it is a minimum.
skill bars:
-try to have a shield skill in your bar, magicka or stam based. use this shield as often as possible in fight
-try to have an execute skill in your bar
-Try to have a healing spell in your bar
combat tips:
1) try to always keep full HP. A target with low hp is the first target. And from 50% health, opponents can use "execute" skills which can deal up to 400% more damage.
2) in BG, never stay alone. Even great players die alone. Isolated targets are easier, especially at X vs 1.
3) Manage your resources (magicka and stamina). Perhaps occasionally use heavy attacks to recover.
from this, make your pvp build, and have fun

Well as much as I appreciate the OP tone, the responses have gone the way things always do. At the end of the day people play the game they want to play and are entitled to do that. Zenimax have repeatedly described ESO as, an MMO you can play like a single-player Elder Scrolls game. Something you can experience at your own pace. That's one reason why there are companions to give single players a bit of support. So I expect that's why a number of players are finding The Night Market jarring because for some people its a bit of a challenge to get around, for others well it's more a mountain to climb just to get past the front door.

This is the best event they have ever put out and it is criminal how many people came out swinging claiming it was the worst thing. There is a big difference between bad content and something just not being their thing, like playing with others. Or having any challenge. But people seem obsessed with lashing out with their preferences as if they are objective facts of reality instead.

I like the concept of the key system, but it feels like it could use a "Master Key" progression path. My suggestion:
Once you complete the 1st Trial, you should no longer be required to do Argent tasks.
Once you complete the 2nd Trial, you shouldn't have to do Gilded tasks.
This would allow players to focus on the content they actually enjoy the most once they’ve proven they can handle the initial hurdles.
The Market Hub (Missed Opportunity):
The actual "Market" part of the zone feels underwhelming for what it should be. To make this a true social and economic hub, I’d love to see:
A full Trade Hub: 24 Guild Traders to make it a competitive alternative to Mournhold or Elden Root.
Complete Utility: A vendor of every single type (Banker, Decon, etc.) available in the main plaza.
New Bazaar Vendor: A dedicated vendor for the Bazaar with unique rotations.
Favor Point Vendor: A way to actually spend those Favor Points on tangible rewards, new vendor types, or collectibles.
The gameplay is solid, but the zone needs to feel like a functional "city" to keep us coming back once the novelty of the difficulty wears off.

i do agree it would be nice to have more merchants in the Night Market.Gold Coast Bazaar does not currently have a location in any zone, you are probably thinking of the Belkarth Festival Grounds?At the moment, it doesn’t deliver on that.
It wouldn’t take much to fix. ESO already has the model in places like the Gold Coast Bazaar. A few themed merchants, each selling different types of items, even if it’s just curated or tiered stock, would go a long way. Give players the option to actually buy something useful rather than just rely on drops.
Also your faction's merchant does sell curated boxes for sets that drop in the Market.

Anyway yeah I wondered that too, it's so friggen weird. It needs more shops, imagine the devs actually giving us a proper gold sink with this? Maybe the economy wouldn't be so busted then, even if only for a time.
