The "Hard Question": What is a Solo Player?
We also need to have a real conversation about what it means to be a "solo player" in ESO.
A solo player is a person who plays this game solo, no matter if it's soloing vet dungeons, story-based questing, decorating houses or picking flowers. Obviously, it says nothing about combat skills.
i also only encountered people in the first district - the other 2 were empty....i get the suspicion there might be something broken with the instancing
The winning faction gets almost no benefit over the others. I don't understand why people are so worked up about 'winning'. Just pick the colour you want and have fun!
With a basic group of 5 people tonight we did nearly every fight in all three wings. It is hard. You have to do mechanics. Don't think it is too hard for the current state of the game. If you are struggling, get a group, makes it much easier.
Good.
I’m fine with the boss difficulty. Get enough players and they die quickly. Will be tough once everyone gets their achievements and leads and the NM will (likely) be a dead zone (see: Bad).
Could do with some improvement.
Quest markers for fetch quests. You need to be right on top of them to spot them. I don’t know if canonically the vestige has bad eyesight but we should be able to spot some things from a bit further away. Still looking for the deadly concoctions, have not found a single one.
Bad.
The rewards are absolute g a r b a g e.
Even for new players. Overland Deshaan sets? Base game trial sets? Doing the actual trial is probably easier than the night market
If the rewards were good I expect this zone would have more longevity but as it is now I expect it to be dead within a week because players have almost no reason to return after they get their leads and achievements (unless they want to do challenging content with trash rewards).
Additionally, the faction competition punishes players who started early and picked a faction based on their interest. Players who started a bit later can easily pick the faction that is way ahead to get better rewards
The only problem is mobs spawn way to fast and they need to be toned down just a bit maybe like 5% I like the zones.
I think the main problem is that overland content in this game is a joke and now all of a sudden we get something like Night Market that's on the other end of the spectrum in terms of difficulty its just jarring. Just exposing a lot of bad players and just a disconnect with the community.
the mob v boss spawn timers could be fixed some having the same mobs re-spawn 2 or 3 times while fighting bosses seemed to me players was having troubles with ( i hopped in prime time PS NA ) and dying a lot to , idk if them around me was grouped up or not ( IF so they didnt have a set leader ) as 3 or 4 ( i take to be playing solo knowing they need help still ) followed around with me ( since i hadn't died in the boss fight and picked up 3 or 4 who had died ) we got our kills , quest markers and one other boss all without any of us dying until yep you guessed it mobs re spawning / being dragged into the fight by 3 others that joined in the only time i seen players die was due to re spawning of mobs while fighting something else , idk if the tank holding it was solo or grouped but they never tried moving them away from area so it could be a tank/ location issue not timers too just my take on what i seen while there watching and caring whats happening to/with others in something i fine to be fun and a helping place to home my skills once again
