Are veteran ranks still gonna be removed?

I read the veteran ranks was planned to be removed mid 2015. Is this still the plan???

I am very curious what they will do with items. A long time ago, when they first started talking about removing vet, there was talk of seasonal gear. But I have no idea what that meant then and know even less now.
After Orsinium releases, maybe they will start talking about it again.

This is the way I can see it being implemented, otherwise it'll be too much of a change for them to easily switch it. A straight transfer like that will be much easier for them.
They may even make each VR worth more than one normal level, and scale it closer to 100?I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!

✭So vet ranks do longer to get than regular levels. However to me they were not anymore painful, just took longer to get. I do not see a difference between levels 50 to 65 and vet levels 1 through 16. If the argument is strictly time based argument then you got me there because they did take longer than normal levels. Other than time spent this is the only issue I see so far in the Vet rank system.
The alt argument that Vet ranks need to be removed could be solved by just allowing accounts with an already max level toons to create alts at vet level 12 or something. Seems like a huge overhaul to the system just to lower the time spent leveling alts IMO.

it is the only way to do it and then it doesn't really remove anything. I find it funny though because I think if they did this all those complaining wouldn't complain anymore. Tors✭✭✭✭✭There is no real arguement for the removal of Vet Ranks.
In fact, taken to their purest form, the same arguements to remove Vet Ranks can be used to remove all ranks over level 1.
a vert rank is just a label for a character level
Way back when, the first people got to VR1 and moved onto the opposite factions areas to quest.
As the next wave of levelers reached that point they hit the "wall" ie it took a LOT longer to go from VR1 to 2 than it took to go from 30-50. This second group were the majority, but they could see some people playing with toys they could not yet get.
People were weak and could not face playing the game to get the experiance points, they believed that in crying about it, things would be changed to give them the same things as those who had gone before, but without them having to do any work.Better late Than Pregnant....

If they are going to remove vet levels, sooner is better. The longer they wait the harder it is going to be to remove them. Itemization is their main problem.
If they do indeed come up with a Max level though, they can make some content relevent again, like VDSA and the trials. Or they can just rename the the Master Weapons that now drop at V14 as something like Wanna Be Master or something, since the weapons from the new Maelstrom Arena will be V16. Might be easier to cap everything instead of reworking some of the old content to make it relevent.
It will be interesting to see what they come up with. Or will they do nothing and continue?2 -
