Solo players pay full price but only get half the game.
Your version of the truth would mean that there is already challenging content in the game, some folks just choose to make it easy by wearing powerful gear. Right? That nonsense aside, group activities are gated by gated by toxic players so it is not an actual choice if one does not have elite gear.

What you're describing is not a Solo player problem, so much as it's a player without peers problem. Solo players simply don't participate in group content because, well.. they're more comfortable playing alone, and thus choose to play solo. Not because other players impede their efforts.
Furthermore, I dunno what you're ranting on about. No group activity is gated behind toxic players. You can do any group activity you like. Toxic players might not let you participate in that content with their group. But nothing is preventing you from putting your own group together, or shopping for groups with players on a similar footing, to engage in said content.

The group dungeons are gated by toxic players.
Toxic players kick other players that do not meet their standards. That is gating.
When advertisement is made in game for a group to form, the group does not belong to anyone. It is PUG.

You're still free to start a group of your own, or find a group of players on a similar footing as yourself. Players can only kick you from a group they created themselves. If the group was filled by the Random Daily activity, it requires a vote-kick of 3 votes. Neither is a form of gatekeeping.
