I've been very impatiently waiting for this event to finish my Set Collections with double drops from last bosses, but the description is making me a bit sad. Can you please clarify if each last dungeon boss will be guaranteed to drop double loot, or will it only be a chance? I loved previous Undaunted event and finished some Sets thanks to guaranteed double loot from last bosses, and I will be very sad if this event is going to be different

Every day of the event, the first time you complete a dungeon, you’ll receive a Glorious Undaunted Reward Box as an additional loot drop. These special boxes contain various goodies including gold, consumables, style pages, Undaunted Keys, Opal weapon styles, and more!

Additionally, each subsequent final dungeon boss you defeat will drop a regular Undaunted Reward Box, which can include the following items:

A chance to drop an item set piece from the dungeon in which the box was acquired.

cool event can't wait but no double XP? What a shame we really need a week long double exp event and I don't wanna wait till New Life in December.

Undaunted Celebration has never been double xp.
But you do not have to wait till December as Witches Festival in October also has double xp.

I really hope that the last dungeon boss will have the doubled loot for sure, but the "chance" wording doesn't give me much hope.

Undaunted Celebration has never been double xp.
But you do not have to wait till December as Witches Festival in October also has double xp.

@ZOS_Kevin, I noticed this issue last time as well. Why are the following motifs not listed as rewards in that article:
Dreadhorn, Coldsnap and Meridian (those 3 were already missing before), and Exile's Revenge and Militant Monk (new motifs that are available in game already but not on the list either)?

I really hope this is an typo oversight and not an intended behaviour.

This has to be posted in the General Disscussion. It seems nobody saw it. There is a post on Reddit and comments are majority negative.
I'll wait until event start as there is still a hope it's typo, but if it is indeed not a typo, players need to know that it's a massive nerf. I personally don't care about cosmetics part of the event, I just want to finish several sets, and getting two weapons per run is the best thing for me in the event.

If double drops aren't active, then I'm not logging in for this. This event let me catch up on stickerbook for some dungeons. Now, it's just a chance that I get that? Sorry, I'm not wasting my time. I don't get why this had to change. I really don't.

To be fair, they both say the exact same thing. The more recent being more forthright in that it's not using an adjective to make it sound better than it is. There's literally no difference between a guaranteed chance and simply a chance.

Feels like another group content for groups and nothing for the solo runners. Every time it goes that route it seems. Group players can do solo content, but solo runners cannot do group content. Why doesn't the development team see the flaw in their balancing process.

Makes me sad so I don't want to play.

Hey all, our apologies for the unintentionally misleading info in the article. We checked with the Dev team this morning, and they have made no changes to Undaunted event drop rates or item sourcing/availability compared to past years. We are making an edit to the article to change this line:

A chance to drop an item set piece from the dungeon in which the box was acquired.

To this:

An item set piece from the dungeon in which the box was acquired.

The change will go in for English shortly, and for other languages as soon as we get localization back. Thank you for calling this out so we could correct it.

This event is an insult. It isn't even possible for player to get the simple level 2 reward unless they play group content. I left the game this day without playing. <== my opinion. Why should I pay full price for the game when I am only getting half the game?

Can you clarify what you mean?

"This event" = what, the Golden Pursuits campaign, or the Undaunted event?

"The simple level 2 reward" = what, the reward for completing 10 of the Golden Pursuits, or something else?

"Group content" = what, group dungeons?

I expect to be able to complete 17 of the Golden Pursuits without needing to be grouped with anyone else, which is 2 more than what's needed to get the apex reward. "Group dungeons" are indeed "group content," but it's possible to complete a lot of dungeons solo.

"Only getting half of the game" = what? Which part of the game are you not getting?

@ZOS_Kevin I am also curious why the new ones were not added this year, and why it isn’t a complete list of all dungeon motifs?

I feel that this is an increasingly consistent issue where some things are updated, while some are forgotten about, intentional or not. For instance the ciphers were added to the jubilee festival loot tables, but even after 5 years the war torte pieces have not been added to the imperial city and cyrodiil/ battleground event loot tables. This leaves the rewards stale for some events while it makes others worth participating in. In the 5 years since the release of the war tortes there have still only been a handful of the Chef Arquitius’s Lost Thesis that have been pulled. This is inconsistent with the “accessibility” changes introduced for other rare items that have resulted in their devaluation and market saturation. Same way the drop rates for rare furnishings from nodes in solstice were increased for the upcoming pts 11.2, but the furnishing drop rates from harvesting nodes in morrowind have not been addressed to make them more accessible.

My elf started the event by shopping at the Impresario since she had 12/12 tix. Alas, she already has the morpho pet and the bits for another. She loves her precious palomino mare so has no interest in the spidermount. She's quite happy with her weapon motif. She brought her tix down to 10 by bringing her banked group repair kits up from 218 to 219. I enjoy the event regardless, but hate almost throwing away tickets.

It has been mentioned before but I'm among those who would appreciate more variety at the Impresario's ticket shop. Furnishings, costumes etc would be lovely.

I have done several today and only the FIRST one got a 'regular Undaunted Reward Box' extra.
Is this a bug or intended?

It doesn't specifically say so, but I'd assume that it's the Opal version.

It is indeed the Opal version, and the one that I got from a purple coffer said "Opal Scourge Harvester." I assume the bound pages from the Impresario also say "Opal," but I'm not in the game right now to double-check.

You can only do Bogrul's dailies once a day on a given character, although if you already had a daily from a prior day that you hadn't turned in yet then you can turn in that daily and still get another one.

But I think you can get only 1 purple event coffer from Bolgrul per day, per account, per server, despite the fact that you can do his daily quest on each of your alts if they've joined the Undaunted.

I agree, and for players who have characters that aren't yet high-level enough, or equipped with sufficient gear and skills, to queue for dungeons and actually pull their own weight in the group, it seems like Bolgrul's daily delve quests may very well be their only reasonable option for actively participating in the event and earning rewards. (This assumes that they cannot queue for a dungeon and complete it without the group vote-kicking them for not being able to pull their weight, which is something that some PUGs might not hesitate to do.

It seems punishing enough to deny those players the opportunity to earn a golden event coffer and event tickets each day, but to limit them to just a single purple event coffer when other players can basically earn an unlimited number of purple event coffers by grinding dungeons all day seems kind of stingy. I mean, what would be the harm of letting those players earn a single purple event coffer on each character by doing Bolgrul's quest?
