Could addons create a toggle or disable these sustainability features?
I'm ignorant to the development of addons so I don't know if this is in the realm of possibility for what they can do...

Ah, wasn’t there an addon or some way to disable this on PC? Or was it editing a line of code? I can’t remember.

From what i remember people were talking about changing something in the game files. That's all.
Hi all. We're gathering some feedback regarding the Environmental Sustainability Features added in U42. Specifically, we would like feedback on the following patch note:We're seeing your feedback about menus capped to 30fps is causing issues for some of you. Please let us know how it is impacting your play experience. We are sharing this with our teams to better inform them of your feedback and how we can improve the experience overall. Additionally, if you are experiencing other framerate issues with either your menus or player character, please note those here as well. Thanks, all.
- Reduced GPU use in Contextual Menus (Xbox Series X|S and PS5): When viewing most menus, (eg. managing inventory, achievements, quest journal, etc) framerate is now capped to 30fps. Some menus are exempt on a case-by-case basis (eg. conversations, various mini-games). Testing in Performance Mode while in these menus shows a 50% reduction in GPU consumption, resulting in overall power consumption going from approximately 63% of the maximum possible on a console down to 37%.

@ZOS_Kevin, how much more “evidence” do you need? Why are console players still forced to use this “feature”?
As with the Necromancer class—a paid class, by the way—the lack of any communication at all on this subject is telling. They’ve been quick to respond to plenty of other posts. Curious why these ones have been ignored by, say, @ZOS_Kevin.sans-culottes wrote: »Hi all. We're gathering some feedback regarding the Environmental Sustainability Features added in U42. No more evidence needed, and it was never needed too. This thread was created because that's the usual procedure when changes like this happen, but our feedback won't be used.
We are unsatisfied with the feature, that's our feedback, but it doesn't matter to them, because we will have to endure this no matter what.
Another update and this still isn't a toggle. I keep getting headaches everytime I got to my inventory, champion points etc. Seriously, why is this a thing, and why only for console players?

I just read this and I can't wait to verify; hopefully the strobe and "stutter" got fixed!
EDIT: aaand it seems it finally got fixed for good, everything works fine on my end

Sounds like it is still 30 fps though. I don’t like my hardware throttled back when I am actively playing it.

Absolutely fair opinion and one with which I agree as probably most people in this thread.
Still, I don't think we'll see changes about that, sadly... It feels much like a "corporate decision", not a dev one.
Today on PTS: options to enable/disable/regulate some energy sustainability features.
Rejoice!
I'm just coming back after a break; I don't find any options on XBOX yet, has this been implemented already? I couldn't find anything with add-ons either.
Should be in Update 47, coming soon. We'll see, but it would be nice to have a confirmation from devs that those options are coming to consoles too...
