Don't see anyone complain that they are Bolt Escaped to death. No clue what you mean about tanks. I've always stated that dodgetrolling is broken and I've also always stated that Fear is fine, but it's CC in general that is broken.

On top of that, I'm a Magicka build! Now what!?

It is possible to block-cast bolt, and is actually a good idea in some situations, like when you're streaking someone charging you. But you're right in that it's not usually a good idea to hold block as a sorc. I've stopped animation cancelling when swarmed cos it drains too much stamina. But just to clarify; it is possible to hold block while streaking, and it is a good idea sometimes.

It can be useful in some situations but in my experience it works better to dodge roll in between BEs. The problem with blocking is that they can charge in to you every time you BE, dodge rolling usually prevents them from charging in.
