    I'm just making a wild guess here, but maybe OP got a little butthurt from something...here's his thoughts from the same day:

    "3 sec cd on bash is one of the most idiotic changes zenimax has done so far... dont know how much longer this game is worth paying for with OP skills like escape bolt being around, while they destroy combat mechanics and give delay on everything. …"

    "Escape bolt is being abused to hell atm. They have to make sorcerors not SPAM it give it a debuff so it's only effective every 3 seconds or something."

    I thought sorc pets were basically just there to get the skill levels for useful things, tbh. They're also handy for really, really low level encounters, or when cast multiple times to act as a damage soak on tough solo-only PvE content (provided you can dump aggro, which isn't easy).

    I'm intrigued as to where the 55% spell crit chance is coming from, since I'm a high level sorc and have a crit chance of 10% with all class and LA passives. I can increase that to 25% on targets I've rooted, and push it to 42% if I have mage light crit morph up. But that's all the crit available, and has used up 40% of my skills on non-damage abilities. If I throw crit surge in there too, I'm now using 60% of my skills bar up, which means I'm kinda low on space for actually causing nice big crits. And I'm still spamming roots every 5 seconds to keep the 15% bonus from dark magic. So my actual damage output is kinda poor, and the healing I receive from it is by definition (42% crit rate *50% health from crit surge*200 single target DPS * 80% as 1 in five casts need to be roots) - so about 50hps with Impulse spam.

    Not exactly stacked Bat Swarm, is it?

    Yup. That's a problem that plagues Templars and Sorcerers the most. They've got a few good abilities and then some really trash ones. Night Blades actually don't suffer from that in my opinion when all their abilities aren't bugged.


    The only class without a single bad ability is the Dragon Knight. So in addition to being the easiest to play with due to "noob toob" or "noob combo" like abilities, they also have the most class diversity and options available to them.

    I typically have more problems with DKs however, the only thing I dislike about sorcs is that they can easily get away from any danger so quickly that even ranged attacks are useless. I can see why you'd be annoyed with them more though since they can do some crazy ranged damage, heal and bolt away. I don't even bother following them anymore.

    Nightblades are fine atm really, but they do have a few bugged skills that when fixed will merely enhance them further.

    Sorc excels at killing bad/low level players. When on even playing field they are considerably weaker than DK and templars.

    Short summary:
    If close to the mage, use a charge attack when they try to bolt escape
    If at more range, use the javelin to stun mages during bolt escape

    If the mage gets two bolts away, do not pursue unless you are an archer and have hasty retreat.

    Pretty solid summary. Any ranged knock down will work though, doesn't have to be Javelin. And most of the charges have a 22m range, so you don't even really have to be that close.

    Bow > Bolt

    As soon as your in range popping them with a Draining Shot will travel all the way to their Bolt location and stun them there. Bombard will cut down in their running while regening. Then you just keep nagging them with basic attacks until they flop over and die. Medium armor + Bow is hard for anyone to get away from... and I use speed pots too...

    I enjoy the chase. It's a race that if I win I get alliance points. Not built for speed? Well why the hell are you mad about losing the race? A CAT Bulldozer isn't going to beat a Buggatti Veyron...but it'll jack one up pretty good if it's parked though.

    Not built for speed? Well why the hell are you mad about losing the race?
    Fills bar with magicka-based damage abilities.
    Gears for magicka.
    Slots 1 teleport.
    Considered "built for speed".

    Clearly had to make a lot of sacrifices to optimize that magicka build to be able to spam that magicka ability if you aren't using your other magicka abilities. Can't imagine how people ever came up with that complicated build.
    Something being unbalanced in 1v1 does not imply that it is balanced in group play.

    Give the game some time. Yes its wiildly apparent some classes are better then others, or people have found combinations that unbalance the game. The devs know cause we complain about it for days upon days, threads upon threads of the same exact topics.

    They cant just fix it over night. Give it time. Play the character you like for now and eventually it will get a little more balanced.
