Or he just knows that most (or even all?) beggars in ESO are scammers (at least the ones that will approach you as a random encounter; it's different with the few war refugess one can give a few coins to). It's more than just slightly implied through their dialogues.

That's probably true, but still...I need that achievement! o:)

Classic no no I don’t use them. They are absolutely useless for my play style . When i feel like I want to use one I can grab one of those free that I already unlocked. Not worth my time and money.

I really like the kitty but also I only use companions so I can level their friendship (neither of the new companion passives interest me), so I can get companion gear drops (mmm money), and so I have a little healing/dpsing help (any companion can do this). If I like him on PTS, I might get him. I might also not. The Altmer I’m uninterested in, so I wouldn’t buy them individually. Wish I could trade Azandar for the kitty.

Like, bro. Chill out, I’ll put it back.

Did you put it back though? Or did you destroy it or sell it for some quick cash? 😉

It depends on what you mean by "use".

I don't use Ember or Bastian. I only use Sharp when I'm fishing. I know he doesn't have to be out to get his perk, but I like his comments. I use Isobel for the occasional single target, when I think a tank might be useful. Not very often.

I use Mirri and Azandar a lot. Mirri because I like her sarcasm, and Azandar because when I'm doing content that's difficult for me, he does the best job out of the current six companions of keeping me alive.

Will I use the two new ones? I'll level them up to get their perks. After that, unless they do a better job than Azandar or I absolutely love their personalities, they'll gather dust.

So right now, I'm undecided. I need to see them in action.

They will be great for the account I have that doesn't already have access to any other companions. :)

I like the companions. I think they are a good addition to the game for those of us who do not mix well with others people.

I unlock them, max level and rep and using them after that will depend on how annoying they are. So far the only companion who doesn't annoy me to some degree is Sharp.

I doubt how it's handled will even be an issue. Based upon previous instances in game, it's not likely they've even built a storyline about a character being non-binary. They'll probably just use the non-binary pronouns, nobody else comments on it either way, and not much else beyond that. It'll be like Isobel's storyline, where Isobel being lgbtq wasn't noted in the story. She just was.

I'd go as far as saying that if it wasn't specifically mentioned in the U44 livestream, nobody would even notice until after they're released and some observant players point out that their specific gender is never even addressed.

Both. I would rather do quests I haven’t done before than repeat older quests so in that sense the companions represent new quests to do. I have 11 fully leveled characters and across them all have done every quest in the game at least once, a lot more than once (somewhat reluctantly or after a lot of time has passed).

I have unlocked all the current companions on every character, and tailored the companions to be used with certain characters for either practical or roleplaying purposes. I do wish when we first unlock the companion with a character all of the other characters had the option to skip the unlock quest like we can with ToT. I might or might not skip the quests depending on if I like them or not, but it would be nice for everyone to have that option.

I’m really excited about having new quests to do and new companions to level with new perks that actually sound useful. I wish we could turn off this potent potions dropping all the time!

I think if I unlock any of them, I’d go with the Necromancer companion. The other’s story doesn’t really appeal to me. However, since they’re in the crown store and were previously part of the chapters, I might just forego them entirely.
