Trust me I know. But, point still stands. The moment it was noticed they should have reverted what ever changes they made.

They told us once that most changes that are pushed to Live can't be reverted without another planned future change. There's no rollback option, and even that has to be coded from scratch.
Can we start crowd sourcing a list of individuals in leadership positions between ZoS and MS that have ESO under their umbrella? I spent a decent amount of time on ZoS website last night and the info there is outdated and doesn't have any emails.
It's time this thread, mainly the last 10 pages or so, gets elevated outside of the tight inner circle that is ZoS.

Shrug, maybe we should write Phil Spencer

Just some points to consider, and take into account, regarding the communications situation we all find ourselves in:
There's a reason the info is outdated/missing.
Some people have moved on or been reassigned.
Other's don't want the distractions, or the pretense of responsibility, that's why they have the autobots handling the tickets. And I presume that since they get so many redundant reports from so many players all reporting the same stuff - that an autobot database is the default place to handle the stats.
Long gone are the days of help lines and personal tech support in games (specifically, to our situation here).
To everyone asking for updates on steps taken, which ones failed, which ones worked, and a roadmap of future efforts besides just general statements of 'we're working on it', as well as reports of DDoS attacks - well, that info is general proprietary info that could lead nefarious types of players to gaining actual/factual company reported and 'documented' data on what exploits to put effort into, as well as some people who would use the info to disparage the efforts of the devs who are working on the issues.
Those types of specific details are things that generally fall under the heading of 'airing dirty laundry in public' that reviewers and even other companies could/would use to stir up a fair amount of mean-mouthing that any company would prefer not to have directed at themselves.
If everyone in contact with the game was actually a certified honest player with nothing but good intent, we'd be able to see a lot more behind the curtain, but it's clearly obvious that there are a lot of hackers, DDoS types and malcontents who could and would exploit any data that ZOS put out there for us to see, and no company wants to be in that position of feeding the badguys efforts.
Kevin is in the tough spot of not being in the position where he's not only not being told all of the magic going on in the dev meetings, but also not being authorized to pass on some information he may be privy to.
A lot of the people on the forums already know these things, some of us don't, and knowing the reasons we aren't being told every scrap of breaking news doesn't make it any easier to just wait it out. But the game engine is going on 14 years old, metric tonnes of stuff has been shoehorned into the game that were never envisioned into places that were never planned for, on a scope that wasn't possible at the time the tree in Grahtwood was planted, and a lot of the wizards who wrote the original code are gone, along with the arcane secrets they had as to when/why something worked the way it did, or didn't.

What is funny is I actually reached out to him a few times on social media regarding this.
Microsoft Gaming shut down three development studios on May 7, 2024: Alpha Dog Games in Canada, Arkane Austin in the US, and Tango Gameworks in Japan. Additionally, Roundhouse Studios will merge with ZeniMax Online Studios in the US.[60] According to Microsoft Gaming, this move is a part of a larger "reprioritization of titles and resources" that Microsoft's gaming division is carrying out. The intention is to boost investment in their library of games and new intellectual assets while focusing on high-impact titles. Some teams have been reassigned to other projects inside Bethesda and ZeniMax, and production on some games has stopped as a result of these companies closing.

P.S. If what you're writing about actually worked that way, we wouldn't be getting any announcements or patch notes.

Simple.
The explanation for the stuff that is silenced is that that is what the mother ship feels is best for their own ends.
Who I'm talking 'to' is the people who have a passing acquaintance with tech, networking and general business without being inside the machinations of big business intrigue and subterfuge.
Lots of things that non-tech people would think are just normal info are guarded as proprietary information, and many things that are in the public domain of information would get a tech worker or dev fired for breaching a non-disclosure clause in their contract, by even just commenting on the record about info that is being discussed in public.
I was just commenting about the constant requests for 'updates', and 'what are you working on?, 'how many people are working on the problem?', What have you tried so far?' and other 'innocent' questions that keep being repeated, with increasing frustration.
Some companies answer questions, other companies ignore many such questions that they feel answering is not in their fiscal interest to address.
Many people here seem to think that the company can be badgered into responding, when, clearly they have little interest in posting such information.
If they wanted us to know, they'd have told us details long ago.
If they were able to fix the issues for what they consider to be a worthwhile expenditure, they would have by now.
They either can't, or won't, do certain things, and they don't feel obligated to inform us of which those things are.
Some people can't or just won't, accept that.
It's like asking your kid 'Who broke the vase??', and they start telling you about their day in school.
Posting patch notes is completely outside the scope of answering many/most of all the tech questions and requests that get posted here.
Players here who work in tech already know what most of those things that can be discussed under company non-disclosure agreements are. A lot of players not in tech don't know how many things aren't for public consumption.
The complete silence you referred to in the penultimate line of your post isn't company incompetence at communication, rather, it's what they feel benefits them the most.
We can ask Kevin 12 times/day for details, and most of the questions will go unanswered because he's not permitted to comment, or he's not given details pertaining to the questions asked.
I was just addressing some of the causes behind the actions that result in forum user's frustrations in a 61 page thread.
In no way am I implying the frustrations are without merit.

What is the point of your post? Nice job being condescending with your little "passing acquaintance" comment there.
Here's the bottom line, the issue has been ongoing for months. What would you have us do? Sit in silence?
AngryPenguin wrote:I've never seen anything like it. I'd estimate over 75% of cyrodiil disconnected at once about an hour ago. Only a few of us DC were spared I think, and even most of us crashed too.
AD and EP were fighting over the hammer at sej, and all of a sudden *POOF*, everyone in Cyrodiil was offline. Supposedly the hammer was just sitting alone in the field by Sej until some EP grabbed it. Then they ran it Chalman with three EP thinking all the DC disconnected too, but we lost fewer people to the disconnect than they did I think, so it was pretty easy to get the hammer.
I also heard there was a queue to get back into the game for those that disconnected. Not a queue to get back into Cyrodiil. A queue to get back into game.
I wonder, does ZOS maybe need to work on their servers?
