    Some may feel that way, this is true. Others may feel animation updates might make the game feel refreshed.

    if they do the animations good, or give people an option to choose animation, sure

    i dont think people want a one and done forced change, that may end up resulting in what happened to the templar jabs change

    i think they are on their way though to alternate skill animations, they have already been introducing alternate animations for harvesting so i think its only a matter of time before they start on skill alternate animations

    Change templar jabs, dual wield flurry, and nightblade permaglow nonsense back and then don’t touch the visuals again except to introduce new OPTIONS. Options are good.

    Options for pet visuals would be great.

    EDIT: Also vampire. I want a cool bat swarm, not this ugly alchemical monster thing. And vampire skills should be red. NB can be red and shadow or no such effect, as appropriate or as the player chooses — even better.

    Game need a visual overhaul but after what they did with templar jabs, I think current visuals will be better than the new ones.

    It's pretty tacky looking tbh, and I say that as a Necro Stan that likes pretty much every other skill visual they have.

    They desperately need to revert jabs and flurry animations, that's for sure and for a fact.

    Too bad ZOS refuses to listen to customer feedback on this issue.

    The bone spikes ability from the concept art was cooler, but other than boneyard and flame skull being a bit cheesy I find most necro animations well done.
    There are even skills that look really cool imo and I want to use them but they are so garbage I can't justify having them on my bar like Grave Grasp which has to be the worst CC ability in the game.
    Balanced by people with no prior gamedev experience, couldn't fix performance issues in a decade, can't code a real matchmaking algorithm to save their lives, more maintenance downtime than all the other MMOs put together, more bugs introduced than bugs fixed every big patch, same stagnant combat for years.
    Done with Elder Joke Online: 2 seconds of input delay on "70" ping edition.

    We don't need animation changes, we need new skill lines to breathe life into stale playstyles.
    Add a Scribing skill that works like Arcanist beam.

    Veteran players have been alienated and disengaged from Overland since One Tamriel, due to the lack of difficulty, and pushed into dungeons and trials; the minority of content in the Elder Scrolls Online. We can't take the repetition anymore, fix Overland engagement for Vet players. I don't even care if it's not combat related anymore, just make Overland engaging again.

    Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 10 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. Make a self debuff mythic. Literally anything at this point.

    I love the idea of updating older animations (and not just abilities, but also basic animations like running), but after the jabs/flurry rework I'm not sure if the new animations are going to be better. But despite this I'm still open to the idea and want to see the devs try updating older parts of the game.

    several arcanist skills are an eye strain type of green.
    and some are flashing too fast like the beam skills and the watcher ultimate.

    i love the templar change,
    but i wouldn't want most other skills changed.

    i would love new skill lines that any class can use.

    As long as they don't change my beam. Or my massive green circle. Or my blastbones. And leave my soul siphon alone. And I like my birds and skulls at the current speed...I'm afraid I'm leaning towards 'No'. I'm too scared that what I like will be irrevocably altered.

    Hesitation is completely understandable. We would need a lot of communication and openness from the developers on any type of visual changes which they tend to have struggled with in the past on jabs and flurry changes so makes sense.

    I think the Werewolf skill line could use a visual overhaul. We had a better looking werewolf model many years ago, and we even had a more detailed visual effect for using the Devour skill.

    Class abilities could be looked at, too. I hardly remember the old Biting Jabs at this point, but I remember an update where Isobel had the old animation while players had the new one — the difference was night and day.

    Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

    As long as they don't make more abilities with disappearing weapons, I could be convinced.
    Anyway, what stops them from presenting their ideas to us before dedicating to a design. They can literally just ask if we want what they have in mind.

    I think some of the animations can come across poorly in both first and third person. The weapon attack animations can come across as being quite weak and many of the other animations can be quite flashy without looking good.

    With that said, I dislike many of the newer animations as well as the reworks to some of the existing animations so I would be quite hesitant regarding ZOS actually changing them.

    Sooo many designs for classes are very dated at this point; not just visually, but also functionally. I think they really drew attention to this fact by releasing Arcanist so pushed in both departments. The Arcanist animations are just so vibrant and complex compared to anything the other classes have.

    yeahh i agree, the arcanist blew everything else out of the water that at this point they have to go back and at least take a look at what has come before because it's so vibrant

    I want Templar jabs changed back. Only reason for yes currently. I am split on bringing decent visual and sound effects for classes to sort of match Arcanist level. Because I also dread what they will do given... jabs.
