Just got 3 characters bitten by Blood Fiends in Bangkorai. They showed up when and where I said they would.

Yea well as a AD character it might be a little harder for me...

    Definitely tagging this thread!

I've been curious on becoming a Vampire or Werewolf on my main or future alts....though my main is a Khajiit...hmm a Vampire or Werewolf Khajiit, hilarity either way!

Also trying to find if there was any info about the pros and cons on becoming either. I know both obviously unlock skill lines, and that Vampires get something like -50% fire resistance, but has there been any info on the overall facts about either race?

I spent the night cycle last night in the North East bit of Reaper's March and checked some of the public dungeons but there was nothing there to see. I traveled far and searched long.

Got a tip from someone they got bit south of Rawl Kha, however I think they were pulling me leg.

So far my results have ended in nothing. The hunt is thrilling though. I think I would rather be turned in the wild than at a ritual site, personally. Anyway if anyone has anymore hints or possible locations in Aldmeri Dominion...

One thing that bothers me is M'aiq the liars testimony about deep ancient forests.... Reaper's March is mostly brush land, like Africa... Not deep forests it jungles. The area before is deep jungles though, or ancient forests if you will, which is like Malaba Tor or whatever the zone is called

Last night for the first 2 nights when the server came up for NA players I was searching The Rift for either werewolves or blood fiends and no luck so far

Any idea if the quests associated with turning are a one time deal, or if you can choose to cure it once, then come back and turn later?

I'm guessing it's re doable cause I herd you can cure your self multiple times (not sure if being fully infected count or not) but a guy said he's been infected plenty of times by werewolves but didn't do the quest cause he didn't want to be one.

Not sure if once your fully infected you can't cure yourself or not

Just saying those who want to be werewolves, unless you are around level 40 you won't have a chance on doing the quest to fully become one cause the mobs are 42 so rather get someone high level to help or get close to 42

I was soloing mobs in my end game zone (Reaper's march) as level 24 mobs 2 and 3 at a time, looting treasure chests, running dungeons and so forth.

It's -slightly- harder because sometimes you miss, but overall it's entirely doable.

Ah no wonder why see players there at around level 25 and higher. I wouldn't exactly know cause my highest is level 11 lol but yeah just have to be a decent level and able to kill the mobs or get help

Was wondering what type character did you have going in to the quest? Also, what was your approach? Thanks in advance if you get the time to share that with us.

I found my Vampires in the northern spots (marked with red dots) just run straight to the south from the waypoint there, they were next to a house.

The one near the Abandoned Camp was confirmed by one of my guild members, it spawns in front of the mini-rift thing i think

The one further in the west was confirmed by someone else, its directly next to the waypoint

After another player, Gunsang, and myself spent somewhere around 9 hours hanging out in The Rift, we finally managed to find some Bloodfiend spawns just as we were saying "Once the sun comes up this last time, we'll go sleep for 4 hours until the next night cycle."

Big thanks to Gunsang (I would tag, but he is not yet active on the forums) for staying in a skype call for almost half of a day with me just to contract Vampirism, and to everyone else who joined in after I made the big announcement sighting in The Rift last night/this morning. You know who you are, and you're awesome!

..And no thanks to the guys who went out of their way to kill the Blood Fiends after becoming infected yourself so that others would not have the same opportunity. You guys are slightly less awesome.

Finally, on a side note for those low-level characters looking to contract vampirism in the future: Although you can contract the disease at a low level simply by being hit once, the resulting quest that you need to complete to gain access to the Vampire skill line is level 38 and will have you facing enemies at level 42. I don't recommend trying to complete that until at least level 24, and even then with extreme care. Good luck!

Just asking, how long does the infection last? Just whenever you decide to cure it or able to do the quest?

I've heard 7 days but that doesn't make much sense since you need to see a Priest to get it cured.
