Lycanthropy and Vampirism (In progress) Update 2 -4/2/14-

Hello, was in a player on player help area answering a question about werewolves and vampires. So I wrote about what I was able to discover last night. This will be a guide in works, honestly I will not divulge direct information on where to look since it will take all the fun out of exploring the world yourself but as I update it, you will notice hints on what to look out for etc etc. Also this is for the EbonHeart Pact Faction........ With help of others in other factions I am slowly expanding info to other areas as well

Greetings all,
Ok before everyone continues arguing and bickering about werewolves and vamps.
THEY ARE ACTIVE, I accidentally came across the ritual site 2 betas ago while playing as a khajiit in AD faction no lie, but then again all I did in most betas was solo and explore.

This release game I changed it up and joined Ebonheart as Imperial. and after extensive searching I discovered 3 ways in the Ebonheart area to get the curse (I call it curse haha)
Different Ways to obtain Lycanthropy
1. Player to player contact must be near the ritual shrine area for werewolves when they bite another player. But can only be done player to player once a week IRL week.

2. IT IS POSSIBLE to obtain the curse via a quest line in Ebonheart at or near the city Mournhold. BUT I would not recommend it unless you are at least level 20. Reason being is that you will be fighting quite a few at once. So to increase your survival chances bring friends who want to be wolfs.

3. Lycantropy is possible but like I stated I am apart of the Ebonheart Pact.
Werewolfs spawn in High Level areas (they are lvl 42's) and one hit from them gives you the disease. There are talks of moon cycles not having effect and they do have effect but neither is unknown. Talks are New moon is for Vamps and Full moon is Werewolves.
Vampirism look for Bloodfiends but other variables to look for at night is Misty fog, night time of course, and undead. few instances they came across different vampires those were all they had in common, besides of course all the mobs were level 38-42. You must take at minimum of 4 hits in order to turn.
Ebonheart Pact- Notable locations are The Rift (confirmed) and Deeshan(spotted still investigating)
Aldermeri Dominium- Notable locations Reapers March and areas to North East
Daggerfall Covenant- Notable locations Bangkoria and areas in the east
Each faction has one or two Ritual Shrines, locations will be found sooner or later
Werewolves
I know there is a Hircine shrine in Greenshade, an elite camp named Hircine's henge in Grahtwood.
Once bit by a werewolf by one of those 3 ways, a quest will pop up called Hircine’s Gift. Completing this quest is the only way to become a fully fledged Werewolf or remove the disease.

Vampires
Once bit by a vampire either by player or in wild you’ll be given a quest, Scion of the Blood Matron. The completion of the objectives is required in order to either embrace or cure the Vampirism disease
Hints players have come across

LINKS for indepth information on Vamps and Wolves
I happen like both these indepth info on each because you learn quite a bit.

Wolves

Vamps
http://www.gamersheroes.com/game-guides/elder-scrolls-online-become-vampire-guide/
Currently myself with the help of a few other players such as yourselves that got ahold of me ingame and on here are currently clarifying information and they are saving me ALOT of footwork by going to different locations. Their patience is great due to the fact that they must wait until night time. Also the guild I recently joined (Elder Wolves) is assisting me in my works due to the fact the guild is a Werewolf guild haha
Sorry all for long discussion but it annoys me when people give out false info. And also I just woke up after spending about 4-5 hours confirming all my information and learning variables for what is needed to complete everything. Now my next step is to find the companions guild haha.

Also sorry for not giving all the info out, I just don't want the whole world to know ya know right now as I am still investigating. Like in high school when you got the smart kid in your group for a project and you made him/her do all the work. But If you all read carefully I did release hints. Or maybe find me ingame and I will chat more (very likely haha was always solo but recently grouped up and guilded up so meeting people is fun)

Other reason for beating around the bush is that I do not want to give out false info, so most other information I am retaining is because I have yet to been given the chance to confirm or denounce them. Patience is the key plus I always looking for more information no matter how absurd!

Ingame name : Dracon'ythe
Account name: @Draconythe
Server: NA Megaserver
Level: 12
Class: Dragon Knight
Faction: Ebonheart Pact:
Race:Imperial
Guild: Elder Wolves
Location: Stonefalls

Once information is confirmed and valid I will update thread.

P.S. Now that the thread is not a freaking mess anymore, I do not want to hear ANYMORE complaining. ONCE AGAIN keep in mind this is not a guide, I will not hold your hand and help you 100% but this is just information that has been confirmed and other info that is possible so it is subject to change at any time. Maybe in the future I will make a step by step guide on what to do but for now jsut enjoy the hints and clues.
Also any and all players are more than welcome to join me ingame to assist in my research, or to message me on the forums. I am a nice guy who love to chat but honestly don't expect me to hold your hand and lead you around unless I deem otherwise.

Thank you.

Guide is evolving - Heres to hoping you do have the full guide here as you have quite a few people coming back to it now.

I wasn't hating, I was irritated because the first iteration of your 'information' wasn't a guide, I read it through and when I got to the end there were no 'answers' just 'theories'.

Giving half information is just as bad as giving false information. Either make up a walk through or don't. Bragging about half information that you went through all the work may make you feel warm and fuzzy but reading through your entire post with no pay off was just frustrating.

    And this isn't a guide.

If you reread, you will see I stated that it will turn into a guide once I verfy information and fight right locations. But as of right now it is mainly just information so people can get hints on what to look for. Not my fault that many people like yourself I am assuming are just too damn lazy to look for the information themselves so they want a walkthrough for an easy route. Because of reasons like that you really wont find a walkthrough on how to go about all this. But be happy that I am willing to share my experience and knowledge as it is in progress. Also reread again and you will see I said to message me for more detail information haha a few have and so far I am helping them.

They were polite and kind, exchanging info and whatnot. At least they are hoping for someone to come and hold their hand as they play a game. But good luck Yashua.

Don't get me wrong, there is a place for bragging. But I came to the guides area for guides.

You say phases of the moons count but you havent said which ones, you list zones but not specific areas. There are other guides out there with your information and more.

If you put all of the actual information that you really had and called this a work in progress then it would be a work in progress. I'll come back when you mark it as complete.

Then mayhap I should take down my incomplete guild and just become that wandering player that you have to hunt down in order to get info? Sounds like a good plan, anyone else agree?

I had no idea Lycanthropy or Vampirism was possible until I tried to do some night fishing in the starting area for the dark elves. I kept getting an error message that I could not fish while a werewolf. (sorry I don't remember the exact wording). Level 6 at the time.
I have no idea how I contracted it or I'd add my information. The only thing I can say for sure is that I went from the area after Coldharbour to the docks. From there I went back to my familiar map from Beta. I didn't even touch a mob until I was running through the snow.

I know what your talking about, On release day anyone who tried fishing had that same message. Sorry but you do not have Lycanthropy

Daggerfall: Bangkorai, eastern areas and random spawn locations. Cycles of moon do not matter.

Aldmeri Dominion: Reaper's March, North East area

    Ebonheart Pact: The Rift

Some would say New moon for vamp and Full moon for were but it doesn't matter.

I want to be a Khajiit werewolf. A cat and a dog. A catdog!

But I haven't found the big bad wolf yet :( I've only recently finished Grahtwood, though, and it sounds like the big bad wolves are in a higher level zone.

I know in an interview they said a player can experience 4 nights in 24hours. So I am wondering if there is only a certain time of each day that they spawn.

Ok after exploring rift for awhile I came across a slight info, As stated here

Each night will either spawn Werewolfs in a random location on the Rift or Vampires. At least that is what they were discussing. Another player sated that the creatures spawn 2 night 4 hours apart and other 2 night are normal.

I've been testing since October and did PO testing sine January and it still took me a while to get Lycanthropy. It's a nice buff for DK *IMO* but it's not a make-or-break thing to have for your character. Enjoy the game and come back at night to the areas and check around the roads. Sometimes weres and vamps will spawn in random places and you might just get lucky enough to get infected.

*Hint: Don't kill werewolfs and vamps at night they might be able to turn you.
**Hint: Quest based were's and vamps cannot turn you.

I found some info and I am here to share. For DC players Vampires will spawn in Bangrokai. Where i do not know as I have not been there yet but, when servers are up again you better believe i will be there checking this out.

Also I am almost positive that you will not be able to complete the quest to become a vampire until you are level 40 unless u are a healing dps hybrid. The reason is because my source has reported to me that you have to kill 10 level 42 mobs before u are done with the quest.

There may be a posibility to leave without completeing the quest but still retain the vampire powers you just gained. I will post an actual guide on my guild website and link it here if I ever do get the gift!

Yeah I have was in the last 4 betas but I never devoted much time to the vampire search during them. It's just frustrating looking all day to no avail.

I have one question though. Should I only be looking in the higher level areas rather than stonefalls and the likes.

Now if a player gives hints and ideas on what to do then it makes it fun for most players because they have a reason to go adventuring to discover these locations. Also you know how annoying it would be to have a *** of level 3-10 players with Vampirism or Lycanthropy......

Excatly !! they made it so Vamps and Werewolf's are suppose to be something you can search for to read lore books and talk to npc's to find clues etc to find. It's good to have that mystery in the game. I think I found some good leads from your guide which I will be looking into when I get a bit higher in levels

I know there is a Hircine shrine in Greenshade, an elite camp named Hircine's henge in Grahtwood. I read on an ESO fansite that you can contract sanies lupinus at a lower level but you do not get the quest 'till lvl 35, this info is not verified though. I know if I go to reaper's march I can accept their high lvl quests. So I am wondering if you can get the Hircine's quest at a lower level but can not complete it due to being too low level for the enemies.

I completed the Vampire Ritual quest at Level 16 in closed beta, with a Bow NB.

I currently have a Level 9 character with Sanies Lupinus, and have a Level 4 character parked at one of the Blood Fiend spawns in Bangkorai.

You can start the quest immediately after getting bitten, regardless of level. Completing the Vampire quest is much easier than the Werewolf for lower levels. Werewolf is probably not something a character lower than Level 20 will be able to complete.

Last night I streamed the Werewolf quest, and showed 3 of the Werewolf spawn points I know of that are in Bangkorai, and the 1 Blood Fiend spawn point I know.
