I will be starting the update process on all the builds soon. All builds should be updated by the end of the week. Keep in mind, buildvideos will be released once again with the Elsweyr Chapter. Elsweyr Chapter PTS will most likely already launch mid april, so expect a lot of testing from there on,

Overall it should be a buff. And ye Stamina is pretty obvious, it is going to be Orc. Magicka on the other hand, if you can sustain then Altmer. I guess though Breton is the save way with blue food and more resistances.

Shadow Mundus will most likely come out on top now too.

Wrathstone will be over fast, Elsweyr Chapter PTS is already at start of APRIL most likely so I am sure ZOS will change a lot of things again.

How does precise compare to sharpened with the infused adjustment in one handed? @Alcast Specially with the shadow buff

Also, are double ravage health poisons a better option for frontbar stamina than enchants?

If I recall correctly poisons only stack from 1 person, so therefore it is not really an option. If only one person is using the poisons then could be decent tho. Precise is also decent, but sharpened is a bit better.

@Alcast Heyy I have few questions about imperial race.

1. I see you list it as viable option to use on build details for stamplar DPS, but under racial guide imperial is not mentioned for stamina DPS, only other 4 races. Is it because it’s only viable for Templars?

2. Do you know if the difference is huge in dps using imperial vs orc? Like more than 5k dps? Also what are your thoughts on using lava foot food which gives more Stam and recovery than Artaeum food and using 1-2 health enchants on body to make up for missing health?

Great work as always, Alcast! I really appreciate the time and energy you invest.

Just popped over to your site and see you're starting to build the necromancer pages. What struck me as odd is the thought of a Necro Healer... still letting that one sink in. Seems almost an oxymoron.

Trying to decide my three racial changes to adjust to the new landscape. Just when I think I have an option I like, your insight changes my mind.

1. Imperial is viable, I must have forgotten to put it there.
2. Race dps is usually 1-3k difference. So you will be good with an Imperial. Also do not forget that Imperial gets a lot of extra Health which means you are less likely to die. Artaeum or Dubious are definitely better than the lava soup. You will loose more stats compared to Artaeum.

Yes Necromancer will be able to heal, tank and DD like all the other classes, we will see how effective it will turn out though in the end hehe.

I have two 2 Hander builds on the website that pull slightly less dps as dual wield setups. But I do agree, I would rather also play a 2H setup in all endgame content because I like 2h Weapons.

I heard that Dark Elf MagDk is not going to be as good as before after update? Is it true? Which race would you change too?

It is still good. If you really want you could change to altmer, but you would barely get any damage increase so I would stay with your Dark Elf for now.

MagBlade build question...

With the destro passive change and no longer needing to slot a destro ability, I noticed that you replaced Rage with Meteor and swapped the bars for the ults... makes sense.

What I'm curious about and haven't gotten around to testing is if it now makes sense to run the VMA Lightning staff on the back bar instead of the flame staff. It looks like you have no single target abilities on the back bar and unless you're running BSW, I no longer see a reason to run flame over lightning.

I have a NB kitty that uses Briarheart and Hundings rage with Stormfist. I'm wanting to know if it is ok to have the 5 piece bonus on Briarheart as opposed to Hundings while using the maelstrom bow? I have Briarheart in the jewelry and two armor pieces instead of daggers. The daggers are just a little too pricey for me at this stage.

There's a small side quest in Wrothgar, on the icy shore, called "Where Loyalty Lies", it rewards a named Briarheart dagger, Materre's Bodkin. Do the quest twice on different characters, or grab a friend who doesn't need it and do the quest together, or failing that buy this named dagger from guild traders, it's not bound and sells cheap.

you still want the fire blockade. It deals more damage on the frontbar and 70%+ of your time you will stay on your frontbar if possible.

Yes it works, it is not optimal but it would work.

Regarding the PvP magicka Templar build, I don't see Total Dark/Unstable Core on the bar though in practice I've seen Templars use it a lot. Is Reach a better CC?

I read that some Necro skills that summon 'pets' (skeletons, I think) are considered pets. Do they trigger Necropotence then? Would that make Necropotence a useful set for magcro?

Yes that should work. Yep you could make use of Necropotence.

Your enchant can only do so much damage. Precise starts to win over infused at roughly 55k DPS which is totally achievable in a proper trial group at the moment. Precise is also straight up better in any fight with multiple targets. Typically you take magicka into raids like vCR and vAS which are both multi target fights in HM.

Infused is still really strong for anyone struggling to hit those numbers or mostly fighting single target.
