It is exactly the same which is what I keep telling you all. You are all so excited for something that is the same which will cause the same elitist grouping issues that veteran ranks did. You will also have people with CP180 gear owning people with CP160 gear in pvp. For no-cp campaign how are they going to relate that? Good luck to them! Maybe they can all for naked or something.
So nothings changed except all your toons are now the same level. That's it.
Yep, for me at least, this is exactly the reason I'm excited about this change. I have various veteran rank alts that I gave up on grinding at some point. These will all be instantly max level, and if I make a brand new character to try other race/class combinations, I just need to level it to 50 and then I can equip those V16 monster helms and sets sitting in my bank, etc.
Gear progression is a central part of the game, of course. I imagine it will continue probably at around the same pace as before, so as long as you keep up with champion points on at least one character, all your characters will progress to the new gear level.
@NewBlacksmurf no its called a label! You and @Joy_Division seem to think that when a name is given to a certain group to IDENTIFY who I'm speaking of, then it's used in a derogatory fashion.
"CASUALS" as I've labeled them is referring to player's who moaned to ZOS about wanting to be "End game" level, but not wanting to apply themselves to achieve it. Obviously if you have already leveled 1 character to vr16 this does not apply to you.
1. If you're implying that the term "casuals" isn't derogatory in your intent then please stop using it incorrectly as the term is used to describe or prejudge a type of player.NewBlacksmurf wrote: »All the VR removal does is cater to casuals who complained about not being on equal footing with those of us who actually put in time to be maxed level. If this was extended ZOS should have had it in the game from day 1.
I don't care anymore since I've already gone through the painful process of leveling multiple characters to vr16 and their going along with it anyways, but I have to give a big "*** YOU" to ZOS for implementing this BS!
Plan your game better!
Sorry but the comment that always bothers me is when anyone suggests that removing VR is ZOS catering to "casuals"
While that may be your opinion, that is not why VR is being removed...the removal of VR was announced ....in July 2014
The changes to VR content difficulty may be more appropriate to suggest that those changes were addressing different groups of players but this "casuals" vs others stuff is just sickening as its based on this idea that one group of players is better than another where one group should be listened to and catered to over another.
Thats a problem if you feel or think those ways.

I know how monotonous leveling a new character can be. Look at my signature!

- You say you are using the word "CASUALS" as a label in a non-derogatory fashion, then immediately accuse them of moaning to ZOS in the very next sentence. GG.
- I've never gotten a good explanation as to how grinding out 13 million xp was "applying" yourself. It's not challenging, it's just rote repetition. People here on the forums have commented about how they just drink beer, watch something on netflix and grind zombies until vr16. That's not what I consider "applying" yourself. Honestly writing a bot to do it for you would be more of a challenge.
- Anyone who has not leveled to v16 already is not getting automatic max-level characters, they still have to level up to 160cp or whatever. They just don't have to do it over and over and over again to try out new and interesting builds.
From google:And since when is the word "Moaning" derogatory?
moan
mōn/
informal
a complaint that is perceived as trivial and not taken seriously by others.
No it's not hard at all. That's the point. Many of us "CASUALS" would just rather skip the boring grind and get to the actual hard part.2. Apply in this sense means "Play the game" is that so hard to do?
Why does it need to take a long time again? Who does this help?3. Your third point?.....yes they will, they just won't take as long!
