Vicious Death set proccing early

    Wow. Can't get much clearer than this.

    It happened to me the other day. 1v1, no visual distractions to cover up what happened. Funnel health drops me into Execute range, instantly explode-- Combat log records VD proc.

    ZOS pls re-evaluate this. @ZOS_TFlemming @ZOS_GinaBruno

    Understand, I'm a skeptic. I don't even believe in the legend of shuffle exploiting for goodness sake! VD bug is real!

    Recap is bugged. The Magika nb killed you with dot crippling grasp and you exploded. No damage from vicious death was done to you, it just shows on your recap because zos screwed this up.

    I'd like to believe it's only a bugged recap, but considering other pvp issues, lag, stucked abilities etc, it's really hard.
    For ZOS it's so easy to make statements without properly dealing with the problem and removing this so called "bug" from recap.

    To put this into numbers:

    11,789 Health (56%)
    VD Explosion hits for 12,696
    Radiant Destruction hits for 5,358
    Dead

    What I dont understand is how you can get hit by 12,696 with 11,789 health and survive to take another 5,358 dmg from RD.

    If RD would hit you first (11,789 - 5,358 ) you would have 6431 (30,5%) Health left.
    And that means the VD explosion acted like an execute at 30,5% Health.

    RD Hit it was just a combat log bug. As you can see on his combat log, after 12k VD he got hit by RD and meteor even if he was dead

    Yesterday mana-NB kill me and my friend with Detonation+Vicious Death.

    Vicious Death proc for me (13k) and for my friend (15k). Other allies were not. WTF?! Where is fix for this bug? It's not funny.

    Count the damage from the DK ability, and look at the guys health.

    It's pretty obviously just displaying the damage in the incorrect order (that's even more obvious in alcasts video) where you can see that he is killed by other abilities (if you count the damage) but its shown in a different order.

    SS's that actually show the 4.4K damage that is dealt, then VD proccing.

    1.6k + 1.6k + 882 + 882 > 4.4k.

    Saw the video above and I don't think it was conclusive at all. The recap is bugged for sure. I can't speak for the PC players but on Xbox there is an abundance of lag that creates many WTF moments.

    Sorry, but you are incorrect -
    video starts at 5 268 health. There is dot tick in incorrrect order for 882, down to 4600 health, and then 1,6 burning embers initial hit, and after that vicious dead. You count that 1,6 and 882 ticks that already dealt damage before video started(just flowing text, no damage tho). only possibility is that that 1,6k was another dot tick, and burning embers did rest of damage and it is not shown - thing is he goes down from 5,2 to death almost instantly - in less that one second, and considering that dot ticks once per second it's inprobable that that happened.

    Zenimax seem to think there isn't a bug with it. yet it happens all the time and you get put from 100-20% from a 15k+ proc before you're dead. seems legit. don't get me wrong it doesn't happen all the time. but when it does it's frustrating :s

    So many people. So bad at math... Smdh.

    It is quite easy to verify your claims. Post a video of you and a friend alone in a field from start to finish. With a complete combat log. Not when you're at half health or whatever. Have him light attack you until you're dead. Guess what, the math will demonstrate that VD didn't kill you. Now add a lightning staff, you're health will likely desync, especially on PTS, and it'll will look like VD kills you. If you can post a start to finish video with a complete combat log where VD kills you, then and only then will your claims be valid. This is how science and math works, it needs to be repeatable and verifiably and not just QQ.

    Now I am 100% in agreement that VD in its current state is garbage. It's being used by the Zergs against small groups for extra damage. VD should be revised that it will explode and damage enemies you kill, but should also explode and damage friendlies if you get killed wearing it. Make the friendly damage scale like proxy based on the number around you. This will make it a double-edged sword that will keep Zergs from running it while allowing small groups the utility to take out the Zergs.

    VD is definitely bugged. I had two (!) VD-explosions during a 1vs1 duell with nobody else in sight. In the end, I killed my adversary. How did I do that as a double corpse, if the armor works correctly?

    VD should be revised that it will explode and damage enemies you kill, but should also explode and damage friendlies if you get killed wearing it.

    I am close to evening use that set on stamina characters because the health desync and the *** bugs with it make it completely OP.

    And it looks like ZOS has no intention to fix it.

    This video proves nothing, except that health desync bug is still alive and annoying.

    I still do not see why people hang to the "VD Procs Early", when it looks more like hp desync and screwed up reporting from death recap and add-ons like FTC etc.. Even in this video, the Kill Counter attributes the Kill to Burning Embers. NOT to Vicious Death.

    The only way this video would prove anything except HP Desync, is if it was from the opposite perspective, with Combat Log visible from 100% health untill death.

    No wait - we have already seen that, and it has been HP Desync every single time.
