Gankers and 1v1ers can't take "no" for an answer?

When I get my butt kicked, no matter if by one person or small group, I often come back and try again. And often I even get killed again, but I take it how it is. No hard feelings and I expect the same from others. You did the right thing.

Yeah that's what i'm doing now: In the sewers I go next to my base periodically pretending farming...it works like a charm - every 5 to 10 minutes i lure a gank :)...it is much more enjoyable than ganking un-experienced players.

More commonly the other way around lol.

Ganker kills a dude(that's busy with NPC's, mounted or another player) with some cheesy sneak attack combo.

Dude gets furious and sends ganker rage tells "1v1 me trash newb blah exploiter".

Ganker doesn't want to. Ganker has 5k weapon power, no recovery, dies from a sneeze and there's no way he can fight 1v1 in the open. Dude gets no 1v1 and mounts up, still insanely mad. Ganker insta-kills him all over again, whispers "L2P" and puts furious dude on ignore before he gets a chance to respond

This is a lot more accurate I think.

That's why my build explicitly tanks the *** out of people and then lays the smack down using skill instead of "gap close to win"

Ganking comes with the territory. Its pvp in an mmo people deal with it. I hate the people who send ME the hate messages telling me I AM the one who is trash for ganking them while they do dailys. Welcome to pvp kiddo.

Seriously though i too have had people try and gank me, some succesfull, most not. They call me trash and want to duel. I duel. They lose. Call my playstyle bitchy or lame. Duel them again with no ultimate or pots. Give them a handicap. Most of the time i still win. They start to make excuses. Its the lag, i bugged out, your lucky i skipped breakfast today, etc. Its funny at first but quickly gets annoying.

Ganking is fine. So is rolling with a group that has other objectives. People getting butthurt about stuff and sending players ugly messages is poor form. I have never once felt that "this game should be played in this way by everyone" in any MMO I have played. I like to run solo or in small groups. A such, I have been absolutely facerolled by gankers (obv.) I have never once considered messaging any of the gankers that owned me. It's the game. The idea of gankers messaging you in a combative fashion is quite funny and sad.

This is actually part of the bigger problem I am seeing with pvp. There are a lot of players who love dueling, small scale, or uncoordinated combat. Many of them are very good players - a lot better than most players who roll around in zerg balls. The problem is you only have a pvp environment that supports large scale combat, with an increasing emphasis on group play only.

Where do those players go to pvp if you are going to eliminate those play styles entirely? Most will quit. I know I haven't logged in in a few days because it's not really enjoyable anymore. Players who don't want to play as a zerg or group are increasingly being forced out. It is shameful and looks really bad on the ESO community and I believe it will be what kills the game.

Arenas will solve this problem when they are implemented. I can't wait until I can queue up for small scale combat... wandering around trying to bait out gankers gets just as boring as rolling around in a zerg ball does.

Oh GOD! We do NOT need 4 v 4s. Maybe 8 v 8s, but not 4 v 4s. Arenas have just about murdered any pvp in every mmo since forever. WoW, SWTOR, etc. Maybe smaller scale than we have, but NOT 4 v 4s. We live in 2016, not 1995.

Uhh arenas was one of the best things to happen to wow pvp imo. And whats wrong with 4v4? 8v8 would just be an aoe spam fest. Honostly i feel 1v1 and 2v2 will become the most popluar.

It's my own personal rule to deny all requests of "1v1 me brah." Mainly because it makes them even angrier.

I usually have this rule as well, except I just don't respond. However, yesterday when my girlfriend and I were duoing in the IC districts we got into a fun 2v2 with a Templar and a Sorcerer. They caught us right before we could leave Arboretum; we won the fight and moved on to the Temple district.

After we zone in we saw they both had followed us and the Templar kindly asks me for a rematch and that he had fun. I obliged and we fought again and beat them both for a second time. They resurrect quickly and come at us again and again and again. He whispers me again and says "I lost 500 Tel'var from you; I want it back!"

I laugh and say in TS, "They're going to keep coming.." Which they did, finally they brought two Greivious Twilights, both aggro on to me and add in an overload I go down. I rush back and kill the Sorc and we kill the Templar again. They come back, again, and we kill them both again. They then come again, but target another EP, so we kill them one more time. Then finally we are able to stealth away.

Then the rage whispers from the Sorc start piling on. Saying he'd wreck me in a 1v1 and started demanding a 1v1. Wondering why I use wrecking blow as a Stam DK. Add in tons of profanity and that myself and my girlfriend ruined his IC experience. Then at the end he asked if he could get his 500 Tel'var back. :|

On an unrelated note; I have a love/hate relationship with instant respawn in the IC Districts. The last two days of killing the same players over and over and over is annoying. However, it is what it is. :)

I'm still stuck on their reasoning as to why one would sit for hours in pvp waiting for pvers. Ganking people questing sounds like the most boring thing to do in pvp.

I didn't sit for hours, that's boring. I walk around or wait for a few minutes at the most. Funner than sieging keeps and taking resources, but if people questing want to be left alone I'll leave them alone. I don't gank questers anymore though.

This has happened too many times. Me and my friends do cyrodiil town quests in various campaigns. Of course we come across gankers, but the gankers get wiped by us. The dead gankers then message me 9/10 times (probably because my gt is easy to spell) to 1v1, I politely refuse, then they raise hell in my inbox, getting salty saying "lol trash", "I can kill all of you in a 1v1" yea no one cares.

We just want to get these quests done, and will kill anything that gets in our way. I've had to block many people from messaging me, which is my personal solution to this. But seriously, why can't y'all take no for an answer?

I am exactly like the 1v1er. Except I don't message the zerglings unless they T-Bag me. Then its on, you crossed the line. I will then blow up their inbox till I get a response. And usually the zerglings call me a *** when I ask for a 1v1.... So it goes both ways you zerglings L2P then you can T-bag.

I never understood the need to message someone that killed me to challenge them or to tell them how bad they are. I also never understood the point in "teabagging". I think it boils down to poor sportsmanship.

It boils down to the players who take pvp way too seriously. Pvp is supposed to be fun, a way to test yourself. Some people's ego is way too fragile.

I sometimes run SB in Cyrodiil (as a stam dk) but take it off when 1v1'ing sorcs. It's absolutely hilarious to me how upset people get sometimes because of other players using a legitimate game mechanic to gain an advantage.

Once I was challenged to a 1v1 by a sorc, but mid-fight he called it off because I was running SB (which I wasn't) Even though I listed my gear, which was probably hundings rage or something super basic, he said I was destroying his shields even when they were active. I told him he just had super low HP, and it was my weapons, which both have irresistible damage glyphs on them. And if someone has low health, it will definitely eat through them just like SB would. So he demanded I use different weapons. At that point I told him he was an idiot and I'm not wasting my time just so I can end up stripping all of my gear off to give him a handicap because he needs to l2p.

Tune in next week for another Peggy's Story Corner, where I'll be talking about a 1v1 with a zergling. Sneak Peek: there was a lot of steel tornado spam.

When people send you hate mail, or send you lude comments, take it as a compliment. For myself... If they're good enough and I could learn something from them I make friends out of them, and will even throw a dual if I can extract some decent info out of them. If I need some cheering up, or their just terrible players and have no right to be messaging me...then I get mouthy back (never breaking the TOS with foul language) but say whatever it takes to make them more entertaining.

Machine Gun down Shield Stacking Sorcs.
    "1v1 me newb!1!!"
    Initiate 1v1.
Machine Gun down Shield Stacking Sorc.

A good day in Cyrodiil. :)

-That look when I'm a level 11 nightblade getting asked to 1v1 a 25k shield stacking sorc.

This is the main reason I dont duel. No matter what, the guy with the egohurt makes every goddamned excuse, demands this, that, dont use this, cant use that. Ahhh shut up and fight ya noob,

Cant stand it. Those that have had the "pleasure" of catching me 1v1 in the field knows i am competent, fair, and deadly. Win some lose some. But to sit in a "controlled setting" where they are gonna script for me what I can do? Yeah hell no.

Shouldn't have wasted your time... However, none could of expected that outcome. From your story's PoV that Sorc was just
