Kings usually keeps EP pinned down from Dragon - which is the staging point for all inner keep assaults. We had fun at Arrius today though - 60K in about an hour and a half and just endless fun.

You take yourself far too seriously there Gae. This is a game - for fun - have fun the rest comes along with it. Constantly criticizing your opponent will get you nowhere. Your posts are wrought with teen angst...oh well.

You seem to have a very short memory - AD took all the keeps + scrolls from DC on Tuesday morning - we were left cleaning up the mess. You don't seem to complain or whine to AD when they do that though eh?

Shrug, we were AP farming and getting our group filled out.

We got both scrolls back within <1hr of each other when we got up there though, and EP were around but nowhere near the numbers DC was, agreed.

Yeah, I'm wondering what sub numbers are because population really took a nosedive. I wonder if it was the lag, bugs, exploits, qq burthurt ragequits, Oceanic stacking AD, or a mixture of all of those things. I'm worried that the second campaign might end up even more dead during early mornings.

EP, I understand we've got to focus DC because they're catching up in score, but this habit of ignoring AD until they take all our keeps but Kingscrest and Farragut has to stop.

Nearly every day, it's the same song and dance: we're pushing Aleswell or Glademist, AD starts and caps Sej, then Drake, then BRK, then Arrius, and the whole time our requests for help are largely ignored "because DC is more important". Then they siege our 2 Gate keeps and we're forced to abandon our western push to protect our Scrolls.

True, DC is more important, but if AD caps all our keeps and we're down to 30 or so points per hour, DC is going to pass us in score anyways. I'm not saying ignore the DC front, but nearly every day we have to abandon it to defend our Scrolls and DC recaps most if not all of we took anyways.
AD's not going to stop, they know by now we're going to ingore them and that they can push us back to Farragut and Kingscrest with little opposition. We need to find a better balance.

I'm not sure who you are on the field - but I really like your attitude. My favorite enemy - that is always up north trying to forestall my near constant northern push is Kagae's crew.

I don't know his posting name here - but we have had some hell battles back and forth - its always fun when the numbers are around equal and we are in the open - keeps...ugh...I wish there were more open field fights in this game ;(

I love fighting that group because it makes my group better and they play smart and use terrain and its always fun - and that's what its about.

So yes /salute my enemies. And please do come again :)

I really do like your Ad hominem. I guess those 70 EP (well, 70 according to you- 1 bar pop for everyone at the time) at Dragonclaw at 5 in the morning are too serious for you also? LOL You really are a hypocritical blowhard; you know that?

Wait when did they change this cap? I keep seeing things about it and i must have missed an official post somewhere.

No official post (did you honestly expect one?). Pure speculation from population bars and players viewing maps/zerg sizes.

I don't have a source at my fingertips but I believe they did officially state the pop caps had been reduced to 650 per alliance.
Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

I truly believe that we won't see an accurate representation of each alliance's skill and organization as long as there is the opportunity for such dramatic time zone stacking. I realize it's the nature of the beast, but PvP in Cyrodiil is like herding cats. First you have to find them (the guilds who want to be involved), then you have to organize them (actually *coordinate* a plan in zone chat or TS) and then keep them together temporally (i.e have an agreed upon time period through the 24 hour day where fighting is going to happen, where each faction must be able to field a sufficient number. Oceania and EU need to stay out of NA campaign where they sway the balance when the rest of us are sleeping). Finally, none of these cats are allowed to invite their pi$$-marking friends to the party.

This will never happen in this game, and it's going to become even more mismatched when the campaign periods go to 1 month max. I really wish they would keep at least one 3 month campaign and lock it from guesting.

Well the thing is, I'd be willing to guess that the 'top guilds' in any of the factions are about on equal footing. Sure we all have our good days, bad days, good plays, bad plays, etc... but I'd be willing to be if you looked at it, we're pretty even.

But I know on EP theres MAYBE a handful of guilds who constantly run a group using teamspeak and they do their best (I'd be willing to bed that the other factions maybe have a handful of guilds who are the same).

The problem is a lot of "pugs" have an issue with teamspeak, don't have teamspeak, or just have an issue with taking orders (that is one of my biggest pet peeves).

Being on the other side of fence, where we sometimes have to recruit PUGS to fill our ranks, it's sometimes difficult to find people willing to sacrifice, follow orders, and do what has to be done. Sometimes you may not like what your orders are, but when you lead chances are people may not like your orders as well.

Now as for the issue of time zones...well it's not as simple as "They shouldn't be allowed here", because having them here isn't bad, we want a fight and a war. The issue is figuring out how we can have that with different time zones. I was thinking of changing the value of points based on how populated you are vs the enemy (I'm not going to go in detail of the specifics because honestly it's just a thought. I'm sure fair numbers could be calculated though).

For me, it's because I like to focus on the game while I'm playing. With teamspeak, all I can focus on is the constant chattering of other players in my ears and I can't immerse myself in the game.

Thats fair, I mean I'm not trash talking the pugs, they do actually do stuff too. I'd make the argument that constant chatter is normal during war ;)

But I don't know, I've been in a few TS groups with some of them have 60+ people in them, it never really gets annoying because you generally have a few people leading giving orders, then others give useful information when they see it.

Have you tried joining one of the bigger PvP guilds who pvps daily? Just curious.

I'm in the Tamriel's Titans/Cyrodiil's Titans guild-alliance-thing, we do PvP daily but it's not an obligation to join in on it. They play on Bloodthorn, I play on Wabbajack and Goldbrand most of the time.

I'm on EP and want to reach out to Sabre Ali on DC. You got some mad skills brother! I see you in Wabba owning us constantly! You're like the Dos XX guy, siege weapons damage themselves when they see you, Zergs run away from you. Anyways good fighting and thanks for the competition. Took you down ONCE out of like 100

EP not there tonight sadly :(, when we took Ghartok, EP were good, you guys wiped us for over an hour, EP lost ghartok when you went for the keep and got wiped.

Problem is i think pugs still see that as a loss. In 1 night EP stood up, and pushed us back where we couldn't just stroll in and take the scroll. That wasn't a loss, EP can fight back, problem is pug mentality where you have to win.

As for teamspeak, get the admin to setup priority speakers so that when the leader talks, everybody else is muted, or mute everybody that isn't part of a leader group that way the constant chatter of randoms doesn't screw you up.

Some EP are beyond pissed. I've heard chatter of EP wanting to just hit only AD in Thornblade for the entire campaign, like give up their own scrolls and keeps and just camp AD stuff kind of pissed off lol.
  • the.dzeneralb16_ESO
Yeah but that is just people reacting by anger. The problem is AD can not win ths campaign (at least very, very, very likely that they wont), and DC are right behind us (and getting closer). We're stuck between a rock and a hard place. We focus on DC, AD takes our territory. We basically have to match what we gain from DC with what we loose to AD (not going to happen).

It doesn't help that most pugs don't know that there are certain keeps that are a lot more important than others tactically.

Im on a high end computer heh. I actually ordered an even better computer last night that blows my current one away. A small part of me wants to believe this will improve my fps in Cyro but I know it wont, ill just get to keep my 10fps in ultra settings now... at least.

I also tried to upgrade my Comcast cable internet but they said my extreme package is the highest they offer. I believe the only true fix to fps is to move to Texas.

We actually had that discussion today.
Basically we realise that if we tried to win the campaign, we would do more damage than its worth because we would need to beat EP by 200 points on EVERY tick.

While with a lot of hard work and probably a lot of luck too, we could possibly attempt to win if we were competent enough beat both factions around the clock, it would also definitively turn wabba into another AB, and probably damage the possibility of other factions playing the new campaigns too.

Can't wait for the vet only server, hopefully it'll pool the population in the right way...

Well, one solution that I would be OK with is for the AD to go back where they came from when EP and DC were having the serious fight that led to this neck and neck race. For some reason they felt they needed to come over a couple weeks ago and *** us up by being the pricks they are, with their Emperor trading farm groups and such. Why not just play the game honestly and with integrity?
  • the.dzeneralb16_ESO
Well I mean we shouldn't really be against AD coming in wabba (if Im not mistaken most of EP ran from bloothorn to wabba because they were loosing? Correct me if I'm wrong someone). So we really don't have much reason to complain (Wabba was my starter campaign, but I doubt thats true for a lot of players in wabba).

Let's not bring the emperor farm groups thing up because theres like half a dozen topics about it.

I can't speak for other EP guilds, but ours came here very near the start after a complete failure to try to organize a competitive campaign with the top AD guilds. I'm not sure on the details, as I was not at the negotiations table. I'm unsure if we were talking to DC guilds as well to make a nice 3 way fight. I do know that we left within a few days because the AD *** us over by stacking themselves without our knowledge and we had nowhere near the same numbers or guilds to be competitive, especially across all time zones. So we left them to their easy win they were trying to set up with good riddance.

Now it seems they're back..... I see them *** and moan about wanting a good competitive fight and can only shake my head knowing what their past antics have been. They ruined their opportunity for a good campaign and now they have come to the only one that matters after they realized they screwed themselves over, trying to ruin it again by cockblocking EP at every turn. Arrius mine farmers, Emp farm group swooping in to wipe us after we take a DC keep to claim it for themselves...... Stuff like that. Seems they can't handle a fair fight and resort to dirty tactics at every turn.
