Grim focus does more than most other skill lines do combined. It could lose the WD(now savagery) buff and the heal and still be worth slotting 100% of the time. It scales higher than I think every ult in the game EVERY 5s.
If anything you should be asking for grim focus to be balanced down and then have shadow and siphoning to gain damage. Swallow soul and cripple hasn't been a viable damage playstyle since like 2017. Shadow has ...... one guaranteed crit for damage I guess?
Shadow should be a mimic of stormcalling where it should be a source of resolve with the utility of cloak(streak) With damage supplements.

We have a few more announcements and updates coming over the next several months, that should help with getting some more concrete info. A lot of it is in the works right now internally, but Jo wanted to make sure to introduce himself to the community first.

This is something that does need to be addressed. I am seeing passive crit damage so high currently that malacath has become a viable option again despite removing the base 50% crit damage characters start with. Sure it doesn't hit the cap technically, but still sits at crit damage values that were considered high pre-subclassing, even with that downside.
It's like how there's so much passive, easy, movement speed in the game that SSC has no practical downside at all, despite the massive (uncleansable) snare it inflicts.
These mythics are supposed to have detrimental downsides as trade-offs for the massive power they grant, but powercreep (speed creep before and now crit damage creep) has all but removed the downsides of these mythics, making them all positive for no practical trade-off.
IDK some people live for the power creep and even continue to justify it for their own gain (without realizing if everyone power creeps it doesnt matter because it is relative).
Its a clear problem if pvp builds are regularly capping half the stats in the game.

Necromancer summons are still bugged in PTS 11.1.3 despite the Flame Skull bug fix.

In live I currently get this issue in PvE where the "pet" cap is 10, and I know in PvP I'm having issues with my abilities not working as well due to what I believe to be the U46 "pet" cap changes:
So my question is, did this Flame Skull fix from U47 PTS week one actually fix this issue so that I can play the Necromancer class? If you still cannot use Skeletal Mage + Blastbones + Animate Blastbones 3 summons + Spirit Guardian, in the most limited case (PvP with "pet" cap of 5), then the class is still fundamentally broken.

I suspect it's because it's August and a lot of people go away for at least part of the month, either because of school holidays or in the Northern Hemisphere taking advantage of (hopefully) nicer weather, so ZOS didn't want to include anything which would disappoint people who miss it because other things take priority over a game.

In terms of loot, you can't have your cake and eat it too.
Loot can't both easy to get and interesting at the same time. If it is easy to get and everyone has it, it is inherently uninteresting.
Everquest was full of interesting loot because items could be difficult to obtain and/or rare -- with a lot of cause and effect there.
This is why I didn't mind the grind from the 2024 Jubilee for the replica styles. It was fun to have something in ESO that was actually somewhat exclusive for a while. No, I didn't consider grinding dolmen or world bosses to be the pinnacle of gameplay, but I enjoyed the pursuit of something rare.
There are two ways to achieve this outside of expensive Crown Store items. Gate items behind very challenging encounters (like vMA weapons in 2015 and 2016) or low percentage RNG. This community ALWAYS rejects both.
I would love a modern day vMA that is extremely difficult and actually rare rewards. People used to stop to look at vMA weapons when someone had them equipped because they were so rare. But if it were to actually happen, Reddit and the forums would be in meltdown mode.
A continuous supply of new items isn't the answer either because there is a saturation point, and honestly ESO reached the saturation point a long time ago. Every ESO vet has far more rewards than they could possibly ever use.
So we are left with the system we have where they gradually introduce one or two OP sets or really nice cosmetics mixed in with a bunch of underwhelming stuff.
I miss the days when loot didn't completely dominate gameplay. Loot was a huge factor in EQ, but it was a trickle compared to the waterfall it is in ESO. IMO, players are literally addicted to the dopamine rush from loot and achievements and that's why there is almost no gameplay remaining.

This is a legal requirement. A public company is required to put its shareholders first. Dodge vs Ford 1919. Ford paid its workers more and produced better cars for its customers, but the competition sued to prevent that.

I have it on good authority that ESO is safe... for now. I'm told Microsoft has an interest in hardware.
Imo these big companies are interested in only one thing. Money. Layoffs done like this are normal in the US.
