For me personally while I have enjoyed some time in PVP in ESO this event just is NOT it. I always felt like it brought out the worst type of "PVP" players who just want to gank poeple doing the PVE quests during it. Not to mention the performance always seemed to tank during the event.. so for the past few years when I see Midyear Mayhem I don't even bother to login at all.

I've been away for almost a year. PvP hasn't changed and is simply kinda boring. Same ball groups that have unlimited shields and heals. Same cheddar sets that force meta builds. The Vengeance experiment showed what changes are needed to get the general ESO pop to engage with PvP. ZoS knows the right path forward, but if the past is anything to go by, they'll fall off the path, tumble into some thorny bushes, get robbed by bandits, head down a tunnel, lose half the team to a spider daedra that looks uncannily like Phil Spencer and end up miles away from where they were.

Be careful what you ask for. It's probably going to be a bright celestial themed mammoth with pink nebula styled butterfly wings and golden lightning striking around it every second. And it will wear colour changing earrings.

You have no concept of how happy a friend is about this mount. They would have jumped through whatever hoops required to have this mount.

I already hate this mammoth. It’s too big, too loud, and blocks everyone’s view. I’m afraid it will cover everything in the crafting area.

I have been around since late beta. If you look at the developement of cyro, its obvious that we have had a sucessive decline of people going to Cyro. At least PC/EU is now at the stage that there is any notable population only a few hours in the evening. Thus realistically cyro won't survive much longer without some changes.
The main problem most people mentions is the lag and the low pop. In addition it is extreemly hard for people new to Cyro to have fun, the gap between a noob and hardcore groups or good small scalers is far to big. When the game was new it were different there were a substantial gap but new players could still feel that they contributed.
Thus like it or not, if we want Cyro to survive, which I do, we need to accept substantial changes.

The issue is always players' attitude. 2 very different examples:
During Pan-Tamriel I was able to get IC Angler fishing with players from other alliances - good attitude.
During this Mayhem I got the Horror of Horrors achievement. Even for a single IC boss I had to jump between the four campaigns because every time I'd have taken the boss to 10% health the same players would run crashing me, yes, even on different campaigns - not good attitude.
And before someone says "PvP, innit?" No, even in PvP sports exists the concept of fair play. Preying behind a solo player that is not even willing to fight you and does everything in his power to avoid you, and following him in group wherever he goes to take advantage is not fair play, nothing to be proud of.
If it wasn't for this kind of players, I would personally be against the idea of a dedicated PvE instance, but since it's impossible to teach how to behave to players, I'm very much in favor: wanna PvP? Fight PvPers fairly. I can honestly enjoy if you smash me in a duel, I'll give you "GG" in an awe. Unfair game? I won't have a positive opinion about you.

Mammoth
I was disappointed but unsurprised to see that the Mammoth mount will be a crown store item.
I had hoped it, along with the giant style outfit, would be golden pursuit rewards.
It would have been nice to introduce a new type of mount to the game in a way we could actually earn rather than buy.

I already go out in the zones every day, for one thing or another, i.e. Endeavors, Golden Pursuits, etc.. Having to spend time gathering surveys takes away the time I would otherwise use for fun activities.

This is a video game, not a job. Surveys offer no gameplay or thought. They are cookie clicker stuff designed to waste time and be a chore that feels too rewarding too pass up so that players spend time in the game. They expect it to clog up people's inventories because they know that a lot of people aren't going to enjoy doing it and won't want to do it everyday. This type of design is not something players should feel obligated to do to keep up with the player market.
I don't think the argument of "do your chores" is a particularly good argument for something that is supposed to be fun.
