I had the achievement way before Zerith-Var became available, and I was able to give to the poor and have it count. So it's not that.

If it's not going to be able to do that, it should at least do something that justifies its existence.

The skill is useless and even after all this time feels like false advertising. The ads for it before release showed the player putting portals up on top of rocks, traversing overland with it, etc. in reality, this never works. I only ever even wanted it to make my player homes have large spaces you had to cover with magic, but that doesn't even work.

Will this ever been fixed?

No, the PvE instance of IC is basically the overland. What makes IC unique is the risk of meeting an opponent in an environment that's hostile to both players. As for event objectives, I like that there's different events catered to different areas of the game, and I don't think every event should cover every single playstyle. If you want to participate in the event, you have to do the associated task. It also makes events feel different from one another.

Normally I'd say yes, but being in the imperial city puts me on an edge that ESO never gives in PvE. You don't know what kind of threat may be around the corner, or even watching you.

Now I still try my best to avoid PvP there because I am there for the PvE. But that added threat is what makes the PvE elements of the zone exciting to engage in imo. Nowhere else do I think "is this treasure chest a trap to lure me in?" and I think that is fun. It keeps you thinking.

As a veteran PVP player, I don't really feel like this applies in the way it was intended by the person who wrote the question. It has been nearly a decade since I "struggled to compete/complete" in PVP. But What this update did do was introduce enough damage power creep that you're now able to kill most players in PVP - this has been extremely enjoyable. For years now since hybridization, it has been simply too easy for people to survive. Too much healing/mitigation, too much sustain, not enough damage. This update allowing you to sacrifice so much of your sustain/healing power for damage by doing things like running 2-3x damage oriented skill lines has somewhat leveled the playing field between healing/damage - not entirely though. There is still a slight edge in survivability for individuals who build that way, and a massive imbalance towards survivability for large groups who are properly comped.

Just the standard PVP builds that most players run.

• What did you change to your character build when Update 46 launched that allowed you to play or complete content that you had trouble with before?

On most of my classes, I am running 2-3 "damage" skill lines that either have good damage oriented passives or good damage skills. Most of the time this results in a loss of sustain and healing, sometimes mitigation as well - but for a significant boost in damage that has been very welcome.

Please, do not wait to start buffing all of the underutilized skills - especially damage oriented ones. Give weak spammables tooltip buffs or additional effects. Remove useless passives like health recovery or tiny cost reductions and replace them with more useful things. Make class related passives less conditional and more applicable (things like necro passives that require consuming corpses or apply to skills in other lines, arcanist passives that require consuming crux).

Avoid nerfing things unless they are truly outliers - like restoring light. The current top damage lines represent a good standard to start trying to raise other lines up to. Restoring light represents a bar for defensive lines that is just slightly too high, and should be lowered marginally to a more suitable power level which other defensive lines could then be brought up to.

If you can do these things successfully, you will create a very diverse PVP environment with plenty of viable options compared to the relatively pigeon holed one we have now, where the meta options are a little too defined. You want to get to this by buffing in most cases, so that things feel good to use rather than nerfing things to feel watered down and weak.

I mostly agree with some of the concerns. However, I think the devs got tossed into an unfortunate predicament. We pretty much know bug fixes don't replace story content and I'm pretty sure they're aware of this sentiment. However, they didn't get to make the decisions as ms teams were partially dismantled. maybe it will impact ESO in the future and maybe not. It's also not the devs fault that their teams are already too small to begin with. Those decisions were made by higher ups.

Most of those higher ups don't understand. Gaming isn't just any old investment. It's a long term, you better be able to hold your food down kind of investment. Businesses which use their profits for further development have much higher success rates. Skimping is always a bad look.

Old games can still rake in serious income when they remain proactive with maintainance, community events/feedback. delivering quality new content,amongst other things. The devs need more help, not less, to keep all the wheels greased enough for ESO players to stay invested and to rake in fresh new players.

Why is it when I logon to my EU character, travel around to popular cities, I can count anywhere between 10-25 people around? This is right now, current time (CDT) Even during the evening about 8pm cdt it doesn't look as dead as people here are making it seem. Plus, there's a whole bar added to your DC pic as I can see in game, not much, but there's that.
