I have to admit that even though the price is better than other items in the store, I still think it's way off the mark.

I mean, you can buy an expansion in The Elder Scrolls Online for 3,000 crowns. Should that mammoth mount really be valued higher than an entire expansion? Should it really be worth almost 9 DLC dungeons?

Honestly, after thinking a LOT about this, most items in the Crown Store shouldn't cost more than 1,000 crowns.

If the prices were more reasonable, I’m sure a lot more players would spend money on the game. A lot more. Most of my friends have that super cheap house that’s available through Steam, precisely because of that.

(But yeah, Zenimax is never going to do a general price reduction, unfortunately.)

Fully agree, this is just lame design, especially when ESO is boasting so much about qol changes. Release a feature with huge qol flaws, and talk about taking time to fix qol things... That is really disapointing.

As much as I personally dont like the dancer/dancing personality(something about it irks me, not sure why), I dont think ESO has done anything truly immersion breaking. Everything in the store is set within the Elder Scrolls universe. We dont get any other non TES licensed things, which is good.

Personally, and I know im in a minority, I love the Symphony of Blades mount. I mean, its based of the Symphony of Blades boss, one of the coolest looking bosses we have in a dungeon.

If you dont like the more flashy things, just pretend they are not there. As I do when I see other players with rediculous character names.

I actually find the opposite to be true. By stating that "some players" experience issues it downplays the issue and gives the impression of a minor problem ("barely an inconvenience") whereas it usually affects all players or, at the very least, most of them.

Now, I didn't mean my initial post to be taken so much as a criticism or even a sign of disrespect, but as a genuine plea. Problems occur. We understand that. We also understand that the staff at ZOS (usually) isn't at fault and are trying to do what they can with what they have. All the more reason to just state the obvious.

I should perhaps add that I'm talking about the banners at the top of the page. Those will probably be mostly seen by forum members.

Absolutely ridiculous prices. The crown prices are just getting worse and worse. 4k for a mount? 1.8k for just a damn recolour?

Soon the 4k will become the default for all new mounts and recolours of skillstyles will be thousands as well. Which frankly shouldn't be close to 1k for a single one, less so a recolour. Like that should tops be just some hundred.

Mounts all scale to the character's size. A taller character will therefore have a larger mount.

The thing is that some polymorphs (like Molag Bal or the Minotaur) set your height to a specific value regardless of what you put in, so that makes you taller (or shorter in the case of the goblin), and therefore will scale the mount size as well.

Here's a height map I made for my characters that includes the minotaur polymorph. I tried to scale everything to be the exact same by matching their pose and position and scaling to an offscreen picture so I could see them all together, and the Nord at the end is a max height Nord (the tallest a character can possibly get). And the minotaur absolutely dwarfs him.


Another fun consequence of scaling mounts is the two-rider mounts. It will scale the mount to the height of the driver, so the passenger actually gets scaled to fit, making both characters the same height regardless of what was set up for them.
