Not going to sub my DK. Not interested in playing for anyone else's expectations. My DK still achieves results. Completely disagree that the DK passives or skills are awful or that the class itself is obsolete. DK is meant to be played a certain way, if I wanted something else, I would have gone for... something else. I'd focus more on what a DK is rather than what it isn't.

Where there's a will there's a way, old ways. Let others go - but this mountain shall not be moved, and I will not be shaken.

If you WANT to do 'serious high-end competitive gameplay' then you do what you need to min max (put simply).

If you don't want to do THAT then you don't want to do 'serious high-end competitive gameplay.'

You can do all trials, even trifectas - all with a lot of builds/classes. You just won't be pushing scores on a leaderboard that no one cares about unless they're on it or want to be.

This is coming from someone who was within the top 3/5/10 years back.

You can still do all content, get all achs etc. Just maybe not in any tippy tip guild but if you wanted to do that, you wouldn't be bothered by this.

Your character is absolutely not obsolete.

Then there is Solstice which was a very mediocre and threadbare update, and aside from the new crown store items, the game feels like it is approaching maintenance mode too.

The Daily Endeavors for Monday, August 4 are brutal. For the first time in a long time, I will not be completing the allotment of three.

• Collect 5 waters or alchemy plants
• Complete 1 Black Sacrament
• Complete 1 Trial
• Obtain 2 Visions in the Infinite Archive
• Deal 200K damage in PVP

Fortunately the Weekly Endeavors is much easier to complete this week than a set of three of these Daily Endeavors.

Just subclass your DK with the Warden's frost skill line.

Sharp-as-Night, the Argonian Warden companion, does have fishing comments as he loves fishing.

i imagine future companions who also love fishing will have comments for it as well.

I would like to see the Warden split into two classes and expanded. One class has 3 skill lines dedicated to Animals dps, Plant based healing and maybe a tanking one based around shapeshifting.
The other should be an Ice mage. All three skill lines based around ice with an Ice Elemental as a companion.

All the more a pity that subclassing will mean no new classes. So how about new skill lines that are not class specific (Elemental Fire, Ice, Air and Earth).

Yea I would definitely put up with something like Riot’s Vanguard for better performance. A lot of people have privacy concerns with that sort of thing though.

Technically Xbox could afford to have more client side calculations since you can’t download 3rd party programs on them. It seems like ESO on Xbox still handles most things on the server side anyway. Maybe there’s more of a reason they choose not to go that route.

Unfortunately, I think Vengeance is a dead end. I saw lag creeping back in simply with the introduction of weapon skill lines. In its current state it’s still a bit too simple to be fun long term and they really need to add more complexity. More complexity seems to mean more lag though, and that puts us right back to the performance we have now. I’m hoping they figure out a new approach.

I feel eso's taverns and inns could benefit from some sort of social congregation mechanic. Whether it be simple mini games or simple interactive mechanics. Maybe something with some gold gambling incorporated.
Do you guys think eso could benefit from some aspect of this?
