Re: Designing a scripting spell, damage for a healer
Consider slotting either morph of the Templar Aedric skill Spear Shards. It not only does damage but provides a synergy to allies to help manage their resources. Resource management assistance is generally considered pretty core to a healer. Spear Shards is an on the ground lingering AoE but since much of its damage is delivered on the first tick it can actually be used as frequently as the rest of your healing rotation allows. If you have no other damage skills, you can actually weave it as a spammable for better damage than simply light/heavy attacks.

My biggest problem with sliders is encountering others who play on Normal and *** up my immersion.
This doesn't really matter to me at all, because it already happens anyway. I'll at least take a situation in which I have the ability to enjoy the game over making demands on ZOS for a system which is unlikely to happen due to being much more complicated, risky, and overall bad for the game. And for what it's worth, in my experience the frequency that this occurs is limited. I am almost always playing the game completely alone, even in overland zones. Not until someone in chat asks for help with something do I tend to even see people out in the field.
It matters to me, because it is already happening and it is happening at an increasing rate. I have not played any map or dungeon where I had the complete location to myself. Even in the start islands I see players higher level them myself. They do kill everything in their line of vision. Even foes that are being challenged by newbs or lower levels. It is a problem now and it will only get worse if mechanics are created to fight the one-Tamriel concept. If we have a two-Tamriel world, the player base will be split AND I see high levels playing in the lower level of the worlds to speed level a guild mate, friend, or to grab resources. Having two Tamriels will not resolve the issue, it will only expand it to new levels.
I still believe the problem is not in the world / quest content but rather in the supplying vet, Nightmare, harder content with rewards of stronger gear (armor, weapons, CP points.) The issue will continue if this path continues. You get better gear, and the difficult content is easy again, now what?
Even adding difficult or challenging mechanics to a fight is not going to resolve the issue. The bored players will go to the web (or other sources) and learn the mechanic. Then they will be aggressive with anyone that does not know the mechanic because they cannot speed run the fight. Other players will avoid the challenging mechanics because the stress level of the learning curve is too high, just the way they avoid PUGging now.
Maybe the answer is in not making CP account wide. This concept will keep players engaged in the game content longer and may reduce the demand for speed leveling. Slow down, enjoy the game. It is not a race to the finish.

I take my feedback seriously. Having read several posts here regarding the ease of game play, I want to involve my own opinion. A few days ago I created a new character with the idea of playing with them as if they were new to the game. I did not use my CP to boost them. I did not use my master crafter to dress or supply them. I did not take them out and speed level them with a friend or even engaged a friend to help acquire a companion. The concept was to see how easy (or not) the game was for a new player.
I finished the starter island. I found the level of difficulty to be in line with my expectations. Nothing overland killed me. Some took a few hits to kill but I was alone in the game so I expected that. One dungeon boss came close to killing me but I recovered. It was an enjoyable experience.
When I arrived at the next, larger map, things started to get a little frustrating. I am asocial so I avoid playing in groups. This leaves the Undaunted guild out. I joined the mages guild and the fighters guild. The town is really congested. [suggestion] Perhaps create a situation where pets and guardian style pets are made invisible in crowded areas. This is as far as I got with the new character because I got a little bored with the content having completed it several times with other characters.
I plan to provide feedback and suggestions on overland questing, dungeons, WBs, DA, and other standard content using this character. At this point, I believe the content is not too easy for a character that is not backed with CP and wearing dungeon or master crafted items.

It's entirely your choice of course, and we have no idea what your situation is, but if you need to wait for your salary payment to be able to gather a few tens of dollars to spend, it sounds like you might wish to reconsider whether a purely cosmetic item for a computer game is really the best use of your funds? Naturally value and enjoyment are different for everyone, and this is coming from someone who just doesn't think this cosmetic is worth this amount of real-world money even when one can easily afford it.
Some people have 9-5 dead end jobs [snip] and just want to spend what little excess money they have on a distraction. Assuming you even live long enough to retire/use any savings (a lot of people don't and just save money they never get to use), the exponential rate of wealth accumulation globally will render any little savings they could gather useless anyway, which is why a lot of people, myself included, just live in the moment with what we have.
So yeah, the cosmetic is worth it.
