I’d like to report that I am still unable to connect to the service, even today, August 4th, 2025, following the recent maintenance. A lot of my guild members have the same issue.
This is not an isolated incident — connection issues have occurred repeatedly on the following dates:
June 28, 2025
July 10, 2025 (entire night following maintenance)
July 15, 2025
July 17, 2025
July 19, 2025
July 24, 2025
August 4, 2025 (post-maintenance, currently)
These repeated outages are becoming increasingly frequent and disruptive.
For users residing in Europe, it’s important to note that we are protected under Articles L224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code, as well as the European Directive 2019/770 on digital content and services. These laws require that digital services be accessible and conform to the contract under normal conditions. If these obligations are not met, consumers are entitled to request:
A price reduction
A partial refund
Or an equivalent form of compensation
Given the growing number of server outages and the inability to access the service despite paying for ESO Plus, I strongly encourage affected users to submit a formal request for compensation.
Best regards,
Heranelle

ESO's server issues are better than all the MMOs I've played in my life, and I've played at least 10 or more. Still it doesn't change the fact that the down time sucks, I really wanted to play ):

Live service games have a live-ops department that's responsible for keeping the game online 24/7.
They have monitoring systems and stand-by engineers to resolve issues like the one we're experiencing right now.
Given that this game has NA and EU servers I'm 100% sure there's a department on both sides of the continent able to resolve issues like these.
So no worries; they most likely already knew something was wrong the moment people got booted from the game.
does it matter if it was? AI is getting better and better with each passing day. Soon much game development/assets/etc will be controlled by AI. I've been using AI daily since 2018 and if things are so minor and unnoticeable then it really doesn't matter when they can put the work in elsewhere where it matters.
Yes, it does, because people justifiably want to enjoy real art made by actual human beings, instead of copy-pasted AI slop.
can't find the "justification" when AI is just as good or even better when managed/used properly than much human art. Just have to know which ones to use and put in the work to use them properly.
