No error code, just a message about an internal error and to contact customer service (PC EU). Glad I checked here first instead!

For anyone experiencing issues with huge FPS losses in PVE and PVP, this is what fixed it for me.
My particular issue was with CPU use.
You can confirm if you are having the same issue by opening the task manager (<Ctrl><Alt><Delete> Task Manager) then clicking on the header for the CPU column so that the highest usage app is at the top, then run eso.
My particular issue resulted in ESO running at 95%+ CPU usage which resulted in frame rate drops causing FPS in game of single figures.
The fix for this is to edit the UserSettings.txt file located in \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live, double clicking this should open it in notepad.
Run a search (<CTRL>F) for "CORE" this should highlight the line
SET MaxCoresToUse.4 "-1"
The "-1" value represents 'automatically set the number of cores', which in my case buggered fps up.
Change the "-1" to "4" to force ESO to use that number of cores, i chose 4 as its two thirds the number of cores for my processor.
Save the file, close notepad, then launch the game as normal.
This was an instant fix for me running an I7 8700K.
It looks like they may have addressed some of this with today’s PTS patch. It specifies fixes for CPUs up to 6 cores.

Item Sets
- Trial Sets: Coral Riptide: This set now adds up to 600 Weapon and Spell Damage in general, rather than 680 to only damaging abilities.
As some of you have pointed out, this set is easier to use compared to some of the other trial set values for Weapon and Spell Damage, so we're walking back our week 4 adjustments and taking a different stab at them so the values are comparable but slightly weaker than sets like Siroria, Yandir's, or Harmony in Chaos. Let us know how this approach works for you.

There’s. Lot of feedback here can the Devs at least give us some indication on plans around supporting players who do not want to subclass does not have to be massive just a yes we’re looking at redressing the imbalance especially in PVP

I’d like to report that I am still unable to connect to the service, even today, August 4th, 2025, following the recent maintenance. A lot of my guild members have the same issue.
This is not an isolated incident — connection issues have occurred repeatedly on the following dates:
June 28, 2025
July 10, 2025 (entire night following maintenance)
July 15, 2025
July 17, 2025
July 19, 2025
July 24, 2025
August 4, 2025 (post-maintenance, currently)
These repeated outages are becoming increasingly frequent and disruptive.
For users residing in Europe, it’s important to note that we are protected under Articles L224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code, as well as the European Directive 2019/770 on digital content and services. These laws require that digital services be accessible and conform to the contract under normal conditions. If these obligations are not met, consumers are entitled to request:
A price reduction
A partial refund
Or an equivalent form of compensation
Given the growing number of server outages and the inability to access the service despite paying for ESO Plus, I strongly encourage affected users to submit a formal request for compensation.
