First of all, don’t use xynode’s builds. But which build in particular are you using? The “simplar”?
I would suggest poking around on skinnycheeks’ website. He really well explains all the details of DPS building and has subclassed and unsubclassed builds.
That said, if you want to keep your current setup as much as possible and just upgrade it I can try to help but will need to know what skills, cp, enchants, mundus, etc you’re running (why I asked which xynode build).
It's not the heart of zos players are angry with it's the Microsoft business first model people are against. They want more money for less content and less quality. Im personally feeling the change since Microsoft took over and i feel the loss of all those people that were made redundant. It happened in world of war craft and it's happening to eso.
Game is slowly morphing into something it dont recognise. This is just my personal opinion.
Yes I feel awful for zos employees that are working under extreme pressure and timeliness. I just dont like big business attitudes towards their clients which are us the players and the lovely people working for them who are zos team. My heart goes out to our zis team.

If it's a piece of set gear that dropped from some content in the game-- overland, dungeon, trial, etc.-- and it dropped with an enchantment already on the item, then upgrading the quality of the item should also upgrade the quality of the enchantment.
However, if it's a piece of crafted gear, or a piece of trash gear that didn't have an enchantment on it, and you enchanted it yourself, then it's my understanding that the enchantment which you applied to the item will not be autonatically upgraded if you upgrade the quality of the item.
I'm not sure about dropped gear where you replaced the default enchantment with a different enchantment.
To be certain, check the numbers on the enchantment both before and after upgrading the item, as shown in the post above.
