I prefer EP. It's red and has a dragon. DC is pretty blue though. Can't say anything good about the color yellow and that weird symbol looks flaky to me.

make that 30 min tank q time
After 2 minutes leave the queue. Then re-join. The queue system can be a little buggy, especially if you change zones or go through a door while queueing.
I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the queue as a tank.

Drops rates are low and the RNG is a harsh mistress. Do you have all the other leads for Oakensoul dug up?
Anecdotal but I've found that coffer and harvest node leads seem to have shifting drop rates based on wether you have dug up other leads for the same antiquity.

The real answer is that the combat team is probably pretty busy with Vengeance.
Which I think is very understandable. The perks system needed to be tested and iterated on internally, and that was going to take more time and effort than anything coming to the base PVE game in any given update.
People have been asking for years for ZOS to balance PVE and PVP separately. They have been asking for content, effort, and development time to be invested into Cyrodiil. For a long time, ZOS was pretty stubborn about not doing that because it would necessitate cutting back on PVE development. But now, they're finally doing it.
I don't think it's a big price to pay, not right now. Subclassing still needs work, but all the urgent problems (Like Assassination being blatantly overpowered) have been addressed.

Also, they only drop from a chest if you've already found that book in the wild. So make sure you've found the spawned version first.

We are far past COVID effects at this point. The player count is at 2017 levels, not 2019 levels. And falling.
I feel like it's mostly the combat and combat-related gameplay features (like item sets). Unleash the combat team from the spreadsheet. But I think previous management put the spreadsheet guardrails in place for a reason (to limit damage done from changes made by that team). A new combat leader with a cohesive vision for the combat gameplay is needed.

The 'Song of Return' continued up to June with patch 46 (Subclassing).
Just the announcement of Patch 46 on the PTS brought back a lot of old players (me included) as everyone was hyped at the thought of all the new possibilities.
I believe that was a factor in the 13k daily logins for that part of the year.
Sure it's not
teasing play a big role in bringing players in (or back in). But once they're in the game, players are clearly disappointed with something because they leave.

They shouldn't even call it a patch anymore. Since when was bug fixing and basic QoL considered new content?
To be fair, a software patch usually refers to bug fixes, so this would be the first time they used the word correctly.
