This is the official feedback thread for Cyrodiil and its campaigns. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes:
  • How did you like the new campaign that restricts Champion Points?
  • Did you purchase any Forward Camps? If so, how did the radius and overall functionality feel?
  • Did you find the traveling vendor, Adhazabi Aba-daro?
    • If so, what did you think of the prices?
    • Were you able to find her easily?
    • Did you like what she was offering for sale?
    • Would you prefer to spend gold or Alliance Points?

    Purge:

    Reduced the amount of targets this ability and its morphs affect to a maximum of 6 targets, previously 20 targets.
    Increased the radius of this ability and its morphs to 18 meters from 12 meters.
    This ability and its morphs now only affect your group, instead of any friendly nearby ally.

    Rapid Maneuver:

    This ability and its morphs now also remove their bonuses whenever you cast a friendly ability on an ally, as well as a damaging ability on an enemy.
    Increased the duration of this ability and its morphs to 30 seconds from 20 seconds.
    This ability and its morphs now only affect your group, instead of any friendly nearby ally.
    Reduced the maximum amount of targets this ability and its morphs can affect to 24 targets, previously an infinite amount of targets.


    Making these two abilities only work on fellow group members is a very bad idea. The other changes already heavily nerf the abilities but making them group mates only is a step too far.

    Picture the scene new player joins PVP in BWB at level 10. Gets on his new speed 1 horse and rides to the fight. Currently I can stay at the back of teh "zerg" and herd the fresh players along with rapids. Help them get to the action, but not if it's group mates only.

    New guy finally gets to the seige wants to help so puts down his fire balista and gets hit with counter seige, assuming he survives the initial boosted seige damage hit he's now on fire. But I can't help I'm running with purge but he's not in my group so dies.

    The only people who are going to get screwed by the only group mates changes are casual players. The ball groups will never notice the change beacuse they're in a group. This specific change will make it a less enjoyable expreince for new and casual players.

    P.S> Add hireable speed 30/45 mounts to BWB.

    I don't have enough information and I have not tested camps yet, but it would be good if there were 2 kinds - group specific and public camps, so that groups could control who uses up their camps and if they want pug support (ideally these two types would be able to have overlapping radius). Also then solo players could set up private camps for personal use.

    Yeah, I know this will hurt my PvP gameplay. I don't typically group in PvP for various reasons, but I do join in the AvA action (I'm not a solo ganker player). The fact that I can no longer help with purge or rapids, and that others can't help me, just means I'm less likely to enjoy the gameplay. So much for "AvA" - more like every group for themselves? Oh well, death by a thousand lashes - can't really complain about any one of them too much. Today rapids and purge, tomorrow barrier and heals. On the other hand, presumably these changes are for a greater overall good, and if myself and a few others fall by the wayside for those that really matter, so be it.

    actually i can see the sense ehind it, i usually run in a group of about 5 when i can be bothered to pvig (Player vs Insta-gib) and we usually focus on ripping down enemy healers the moment we spot them to make sieges smooth, with the lower amount, imagine trying to do that only to have your buff guy not apply buffs because some random joes were more eligable, meaning we'd struggle to do our pressure job, with the group only thing we can focus on making sure we have our required buffs and can continue to pressure enemy healers during sieges

    If so, what did you think of the prices? I thought they were reasonable. I wonder if monster helms would be priced for the same amount as shoulders. I expect monster helm prices to be a little more than shoulder prices, but since there are no helmets available I am only guessing.

    Were you able to find her easily? It took me a couple of minutes of searching, but where you placed the merchant for AD players did make sense.

    Did you like what she was offering for sale? I wish I could see monster helms for sale and not just shoulders. I'm tempted to buy Vicious Death and Leki's isn't very appealing to me. Also, I only saw necklaces of these new sets and I wouldn't buy them unless I knew I could readily obtain the other set pieces.

    Would you prefer to spend gold or Alliance Points? I would prefer to spend gold and save my Alliance Points on forward camps or seige.
    Am a whimsical Generation Jones gamer. Online RPGs hooked me since '94 and no sign of stopping soon...

    New players literally unlock rapids (and get a skill point) just by arriving in cyrodiil and either completing or skipping the tutorial quest..

    Purge is going to be a rough move for a lot of people. Most people can't afford to keep it on their bar, unless you're a [full] healer. It's going to force more people to group who generally wouldn't, but then you're going to have people who don't want the loss in AP (after 6 or so people) to cap their groups. It's going to become cliquish and even harder to group with decent players. It's going to start feeling like vet dungeons, where you'll get kicked from the group. PUGs already get a lot of flak for various things. So I see a lot of players becoming alienated.

    I've been mostly soloing to try to get better and not use a group as a crutch. So these changes don't affect me as much. I do like to catch a purge though, and that will suck to lose. But it is what it is.

    The only campaign on the PTS right now is Haderus, a CP enabled campaign. How are we supposed to test the non cp campaigns let alone tell you if we like them? lol Azura and BWB aren't even there!

    Looking forward to testing the new forward camps. Also looking forward to testing the no-CP campaign, if they actually add it ;)
    I remember them saying they can only have one campaign on PTS, but you would have thought that one campaign would be one of the no-CP ones so that it was actually testable :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    A lot of us were looking forward to the Elite Gear Vendor being updated to V16 in this patch. The new monster vendor is nice but we have been hurting for gear diversity in Cyrodiil since the Imperial City patch made Agility/Endurance/Willpower the only NON-BOP V16 jewelry and made it impossible to get our favorite PvP sets (ravager, morag tong, etc) as V16.

    Didn't you say you were going to update all the old PvP sets to V16 in this patch??


    We really like the ravager set, cyrodiils lights, twin sisters, as well as the old PvP drop bags including morag tong and hawk's eye. Please update these to V16. Gear diversity is a good thing and helps the economy!

    But is the jewelry there? Does ZOS go through a meeting and decide which sets make the cut? Why not just give us all? We need build diversity more than ever right now.

    Changes of buffs/cleanses to group only are a bad move. If nothing else convinces you: They're bad for business. A major part of the appeal of mass pvp to many players is that you don't have to group with the usual dickheads and this change makes that so much harder.

    They won't get purge/rapid maneuver buff and heal, but other skill will still affect them, I think.

    option 1 . put purge or barrier on your bar.
    option 2 . join a group with purge or barrier.
    option 3 . scrounge a purge or barrier and deny a legitimate group member.

    The server cant heal and barrier everyone.
    This is lag prevention.

    Any new players look at zone chat.....see everyone writing LFG....see type"xyz" for group....join PUG.
    No differnet to how it works now except solo players don't get a free lunch.
    With 60 people on a flag...each 24 man group is not healing/shielding/purging 6/60..they are only healing/purging/shieling 6/24 at best.

    This is a nerf to balling up for protection.

    Leave Purge as is.

    Im sick of seeing giant non-group zergs just standing under oil having 2 or 3 people negate siege damage...those days need to be OVER!!!!!

    These changes were a long time coming and for once ZOS needs to stand firm with them. This is one of the best changes in this patch and it needs to stay.

    Regarding the "limited" CP campaigns, the patch notes seem a little vague.

    Are BWB and Azuras Star going to have zero champion point boosts active? Or just none of the 10, 30, 75, 120 pt abilities will be active.

    Example: I have 30 points in mighty for increased Physical damage by 10.8%. Also having 30 CP in Mighty gives 12% Weapon Critical.

    With this change to BWB and Azuras, will I not have the 10.8% physical damage increase or the 12% Crit? Or will I still have the 10.8% damage, just not the 12% crit?

    @MrTarkanian48 In theory, none of those will be active. It should be as though you have spent no CPs at all. (But we won't know for sure until ZOS actually open up that campaign on PTS :stuck_out_tongue:)

    I just can not find Adhazabi for the life of me. I've searched all over Northern High Rock Gate and I just can't find her. Not sure if I somehow just missed the same place multiple times, but I don't see here anywhere.

    Go figure I find her after I posted that... although she's missing all her clothes. Is she willing to sell the shirt off her back for the right price? XD

    But yeah, prices are fair, and I like the variety. I'm surprised the AP cost is really as low it is given how high the cost of a single pages of Akaviri motifs are. Is monster shoulder worth 200K AP while a decorative chest design is worth 500K AP? Seems a bit out of proportion to some degree, but overall, her prices are more than fair.

    Although I would go so far to say they seem ridiculously low when compared to what the average player guild charges.

    May be her day off. For some reason I was under the impression that the vendor would only show up a couple days of the week. I may be wrong but is the impression I got from somewhere...........

    Did Battle Resurrection get a secret nerf, or not working properly? I have Kags 5 piece and 1/2 of Battle Resurrection on the main server and 2/2 on the PTS, it seems to take the same amount of time. Having been rezzed numerous times by one guildie with 2/2 and 5 piece Kags, this appears to be bugged. Can I get some confirmation on that?

    To make Azura a non CP campaign is stupid. In EU this is the most popular instance with lots of experienced pvp players. I bet that they will move elswhere. I suggest ZOS tries this concept on a less populated instance.

    Right now camp respawn area too small, you literally must die in 10 meters away from it to respawn.
