Are you by chance using Votan's minimap addon? We've found this was causing an issue much like you're describing.

Also you should still be able to go into individual zones and select the homes from there.

Thanks for letting us know! It's possible - sometimes we do see issues with addons on launch day. What folder did you delete? The addons one?
