That is incredibly unrealistic. By that metric, most of the playerbase will never qualify.

I have an alt account that I played daily and has done more than you. ZOS denied gifting for it even though they asked what my main account was (that has gifting enabled), and I can prove it's actually mine, so I just gave up. It's not worth the time or money to keep trying to unlock gifting. I'm not buying anymore crowns even on my main account that has gifting enabled.

Is this crazy?))) You can't play for 180 days continuously. It's impossible because you might have barbecues, birthdays, or other holidays. In addition to holidays, you might break a leg and end up in the hospital.

Maybe try to log on every day, even if just for a minute to pick up the daily reward, and hopefully that may be enough to show more consistent gameplay.

I started playing in December 2024, and I didn't play much during that period. In March and April, I started playing more actively, but I didn't play much in May. In late May, I submitted a request for gifts, and then I started getting "you're inactive" messages. I've been playing actively throughout June.

Starting an account six months ago and already having extended breaks of non-play is unlikely to be considered "consistently active" in ESO. Also, how do you have so many of the hardest achievements in game when only seem to have a couple months of consistent play time? That is probably a red flag, too. Maybe you are an absolute ESO prodigy and one of the greatest players of the game in human history. And you have a natural ability to power through content that requires most players years to master. But it feels like too much accomplished in too short of a time and ZOS probably think you are buying achievement runs, not making true in-game relationships with other players.

I'm not playing alone, but with a guild. They have recordings in their discord, as well as experienced players who can tell you anything you want) . All the builds, for the tank, for the DD, for the healer. they tell me. There are officers who gather people to go through dungeons and trials

...they still refuse to give gifts to those who play regularly...

They may not consider taking multiple breaks without playing at all to be regular and consistent gameplay.

it feels like they're looking at 1) achievements 2) the number of messages in the group and guild 3) the activity of all characters 4) the activity on the forum 5) how much real money was spent on purchasing boxes 6) whether a subscription was purchased 7) whether there are any violations 8) whether you have criticized their company or not .
there may be a number of other factors. and their program shows all of this. Because they responded to me with Kevin, "You don't even have the minimum requirements."
That is, it's not a human looks and analyzes. It's a curve program that looks at the fulfillment of requirements.

I was given the ability to gift and I never applied for it, not will I ever use it. I do not do some of the things listed but was approved.

      1) I do have a lot of achievements because I've played for years without taking a break.
      2) I am in a trade guild and sell regularly. I rarely group with guildies or others, and rarely speak in guild chat.
      3) I play some characters more than others, and some I only do daily writs on.
      4) I do post on the forums.
      5) I never buy crates ever and very rarely have purchased crowns at all.
      6) I do subscribe because I find the perks invaluable.
      7) Moderation has happened.
      8) I have spoken against more than a few decisions and changes.

I highly suspect that one of the biggest factors preventing gifting being granted may be that there have been a lot of breaks from the game and not playing at all during those times.

This is pure speculation. Have played since beta, took many breaks (sometimes for years). Requested to have gifting enabled, and it was granted.

Was newly returned from a 10 month break in the game when gifting was reenabled and had it automatically granted without having to even open a ticket.

Doubtful. My son's account was not yet a year old when he requested gifting be enabled. He got the game as a gift, played a month or so, stopped for many months, then had played a month or so again when he submitted the ticket. It was granted.

There are things I suspect they look at that I've never seen posited here on the forums but would be obvious low-hanging fruit to me as someone who has done KYC work for banks and insurance companies. I won't mention them since ZOS seems to want to be secretive. But suffice to say I seriously doubt a specific minimum play time or minimum number of consecutive days of logging in are part of the rules, unless they are very low minimums.

Why it was different for others we can only speculate, but consistent gameplay and/or being active in an ingame ESO community were specifically given as things they look at in their response to the OP.

Consistency is a vague concept and can mean a lot of different things to a security professional. You're focused on one specific meaning (consistency of daily login). Think broader. Think about differences that might indicate an account has been stolen, compromised, sold, or created as a scam/bot account from the beginning. This would lead you to differences that could be implemented as rules. All could be included under the vague rubric of "consistent gameplay."

No. I'm focused on the OP logging in every day, even if just for a minute to pick up the daily login reward. It's not the daily login reward that I think is important... it's logging in.

I don't think that's true, because I was told, "You don't even have the minimum requirements." This means that achievements or social interactions also play a role.

I have completed several trials. I have researched all the traits. My mounts have all the stats for speed, weight, and stamina. There are fully assembled characters, Tank, DD, and Heal.

Why am I asking this question? The support team writes to me differently every time, and they initially required me to have: "Your account must demonstrate consistent gaming activity and/or be active in the ESO in-game community before submitting your application for eligibility in the ESO Gift Program."
After that, I was told that I wasn't an active enough player. How is that possible?.

When I realized I wasn't going to get anywhere and I wouldn't be able to use the alt account's crowns for my main account which was it's entire purpose coupled with extra trade guild slots, I canceled plus on that account and of course any upcoming expansions, etc. I spoke with my wallet.

Had this with my alt account.
It’s my trading account, so log nearly everyday to check mail / top up traders.
      It has ESO +.
Have occasionally done trials & dungeons with guilds I am in.
Done quite a few achievements. Have multiple characters.
Account has been active for over 2 years.

Was denied gifting. Even when told them it’s my second account.

      Bit peeved about this.

The issue here is seeing people with just 500 CPs having gifting unlocked. Yes, I know CPs don't mean much, but they're still a decent indicator of how long someone has played the game.
I have 2700 CPs, played on the PTS, in 5 guilds, play every day(BGs, pledges, etc), and I still get denied.
I told them I won’t buy any expansions or subscribe to ESO+ until gifting is enabled for me. Let the money talk.

Seriously, ZOS, the process for enabling gifting is one of the worst parts of this game, and you're actively avoiding fixing it.

Hi everyone. Our Anti-Fraud team made up of Devs, Customer Service, and Community team members wanted to follow up here after monitoring this thread and engaging with the original poster of the thread. We believe it’s important to go over this case, because it’s a good example of a bad actor and the tactics they use to circumvent safety processes to do harm.

First, we want to acknowledge that while the gifting process can be frustrating, it is designed to keep both you, the player, and us safe from bad actors.

When the user originally placed their ticket in for gifting access, we denied their request due to account markers that showed future signs of potential fraudulent behavior. However, the user then opened this thread noting their playtime and claim to eligibility. In addition to their claims, we heard from many of you. We understand the frustration with the process and empathize with it. Many of you know that we often go through threads like this and try to assist where we can with the support of our customer service team.

Upon reevaluation of the account, we could tell the user was an active ESO player, but still had concerning markers on their account. We weighed the pros and cons of those risks and ultimately granted access to gifting. Unfortunately, within 24 hours, we were able to confirm new fraudulent behavior made by the user. They have now been permanently banned in-game and from the forum.

We highlight this because a common tactic bad actors use is the power of public forums here and elsewhere: taking advantage of the everyday player’s goodwill to garner public support to be let back in. Based on this situation, future threads like this will be based only on the follow-up investigation and closed once the investigation is complete.

To close out this post, we are still working to get as many people in as possible to the gifting program. We relaxed rules for gifting earlier this year and will continue to monitor these rules. Our goal is to stop bad actors, while keeping everyone else safe. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read this follow up.
