The EU login issue would have been present on the test server. It was ignored
Please explain how issues with the combination of two clients into one and the restructuring of addition of the server selection was present during the test with one PTS client without server selection.
We aren't defending the current issues, but they could have never come up during the PTS phase and therefor weren't ignored.

Not to pile up on ZOS misery but this game is definitely the MMO with more maintenance ever, and I played almost all the relevant MMOs since UO.
6-8 hours for a REGULAR maintenance is just ridiculous, having that more than once a week is unacceptable.
ZOS should really get their act together.
Well it is also the BEST MMO in both gameplay and graphics
No it's not. The only reasons it's good are quests, visual design, and the fact it is a TES game, and we all love TES. Other then that, there are far better games in terms of both graphics and mechanics.

Well that is my opinion and I am comfortable knowing I am not the only one who thinks this way
So you're saying it wasn't tested at all, not internally, not ever, and live client changes can always be expected to break in any imaginable way? That's very reassuring.ZOS_KaiSchober wrote: »GrumpyMuffin wrote: »mlstevens42_ESO wrote: »Thing is even with a test server one does not always get a feel of what things will do on live. Software can break and will break with changes no matter how much testing a team can do. Have you ever thought this is why ZOS forum admins don't want to comment on anything anymore? Make's for a *** day when ungrateful children lose their minds because they can't play a damn video game. FFS cut these people some slack they didn't design the game or the launcher.
I agree discussion is best performed in a way where people respect each other,
but nobody forced them to work on a gaming forum, they get paid to do so.
And we are the ones that make the money for them....

I actually wouldn't be surprised if yesterdays maintenance was the reason for the issues that happened and the need to do another one. Every time after the maintenance there are a ton of issues that weren't there before and nothing is fixed.
Please STAHP!!!!
Many people in europe are working at this time....so fine in that case. Feel sorry for us oceanic where maintenance always hit OUR prime time.
All good though, I'll spend a few more time out here laughing at the type of topics that comes up during maintenance lol.

I understand that this is their job and they get paid to do this job, but for so many to forget that these are people that have absolutely nothing to do with the current state of the game/launcher is mind blowing. I'm pretty sure Kai is human and probably made some since in his comment. You can test and test but if a issue never comes up, how do you fix it?

I agree in most part, but i think its also because ZoS support is so hard to reach,
its really hard to get your complain taken serious in a normal time frame,
it takes forever to get passed the numerous auto replies they send out when you make a ticket.
And then after some time being annoyed by that they come to the forum and already are "wind up",
i can understand people will get frustrated over this regularly.

No, I am not saying that. We are to blame for the issues with the server selection. I just couldn't let the very untrue statement that this issue came up during PTS and got ignored pass by without comment.
Even with the understandable rage, we should stick to the facts.

Update is not even available for download yet, what are you talking about?
Seriously??? third of fourth time in a 2 week period. I pay a subscription and every time I have a few hours spare to play uninterrupted the server is down for maintenance, how long is this maintenance is going to take? ZOS moderator! A time-frame would show good character :P
The maintenance time is really bad, I suppose someone in the world has to draw the shortest straw all the time, honestly feels like my region of the planet is being picked on though. Killing the game at 7-8pm all the time here

Do we even get to know what this maintenance is up for ?
Or are we left in the dark again...
It's a hotfix for the Cyrodiil group bug that requires some server downtime for about 3 hours.
As announced yesterday night: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/296577/hotfix-10-11-16-grouping-issue-in-cyrodiil

Nice, that how you navigate around a question. No one asked, why it was patched. The question was, why in "our" primetime, not "yours"...
Realy, its a shame i bought 6 months eso + in advance when i see how you handle your costumers...
