totally lol.

but the game/class I had in mind was the Bureaucrat from Anarchy Online. you obviously couldn't charm bosses, but at end game you could charm some insane trash mobs, and although the 'Crat (basically a bard but sci-fi) was not the toughest class in the game, you could out-dps a 32-man raid group while watching youtube on the other monitor, and CC'ing adds and boss to boot.

Bard if done right in ESO would be a phenomenal class to play (i wish classes were gone tbh though), but if done wrong they would be an excellent crafter.

I would definitely charm some of those VR6 Bandit witches that cast 2k fire spells. Charm an NPC healer too that heals 1000hp/s and a we could easily clear any vet dungeon.

Don't forget that it'd contain all the needed buffs/debuffs to do anything(much like EQ/EQ2) and the population would be stupid low to the point of people boxing them for said buffs/debuffs.

At least that's how some of my guilds rolled in EQ2. I payed both bard and chanter. Dirge and Illusionist to be specific.

We were boxing troubs and illy constantly. One token coercer and one token dirge.

You can be your arse though that the instant I posted "dirge/illy lfg <instance>" I had a dozen tells light up.

This sounds like a misunderstanding. We are not working on a bard class for ESO, nor do we have plans to do so. Malukah worked with us to write all of the bard songs in ESO, and also performed all of them in-game.

I think if they were working on a Bard skill line they would mention it, nobody is pernickity enough to deny a bard class but keep quiet about a bard skill line.

Are you kidding? I sure as hell wouldn't say anything much if it were just in the recording stage either, frankly - because the community would be expecting it with the next patch!

I'm thinking more long term, certainly after the things that have been mentioned partially or mostly come to pass.

Yeah I'd really like to know if ZoS is going to reveal ANYTHING during E3, or possibly show off some future content. So far we have a grainy photo of some 3v3 that is not in the game, and a rumor that's been squashed.

They'll definately show off the dye system, whether it's out then or about to come out, they'll show it off.

Eh dye system is fluff content. I am talking Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, future plans for Cyrodiil (besides campaign changes), more Solo/duo questlines at max level, spellcrafting, new skills, things beyond the summer. Right now, all we know is that the dye system is coming soon, along with a new veteran dungeon.

I know you would of thought with it just being released they would be showing what they have in store for the future. I haven't seen out on reddit as of yet anyway.

The major feedback I gave in beta was that there needs to be an instrument skill line focusing on things like CC (AoE mez), group speed buff, and other group related buffs.

I doubt Jessica is being completely forthcoming... I find it unlikely that bard related skills and items arent on their radar, or in the works.

Bards were mana batteries in everquest. Perhaps they should add a skill line similar to that, then templars would have a magicka regeneration skill, since we don't have any templar skills that do that.

No one said WHEN it might be coming. Why do people always react to news like everything is going to happen now, all of a sudden, and all at once? Is it because of time-telescoping in movies or what?

It was simple reality about how MMO works. When they have so many different skill lines coming, it doesn't make sense to announce another. Even though I would like both a bard class and bard guild! :-)
