VR Difficulty change?

    I'm not sure if this change in difficulty was intended, but I have to admit I think it has surpassed my skill level. I'm stuck on the last zone boss in the VR5 zone, bankgorai (sp?), and she's literally burning me in 15-30 seconds. I get maybe 10% off her health. The mobs leading there were a big problem for me as well (V5 Sorcerer).

    I'm crossing my fingers that they flipped an unintended switch somewhere and it will be rolled back to the original difficulty, which was challenging enough for me anyway. I know there are those of you out there that get no challenge out of this game, and I appreciate your skills. But, I think I'm probably closer to the average player out there, and it's kicking my butt (sadly).

    Hopefully they give us some indication on if this was intended or an inadvertent change. I think I need to make some decisions on whether I want to keep playing if it's that much above my skill level. I'll keep banging my head for a while ;)

    Drain nerfed, also, by the way. I was getting 35 magicka per hit, now I get 18. It is worthless now. Oh, and yeah, impulse and its morphs are almost doubled in magicka costs.

    Don't exaggerate impulse is not double whatsoever. That being said i posted about this vr difficulty thing on the admins wall yet they still took the EU server down so us Euros are next.

    It seems like they already got your money so they don't have much of an incentive to do anything until it is time for subscribers to renew.

    When it is time for the next wave of renewals, they'll give vague promises about fixing the class to string along subscribers for another month. Like they did last month. So expect some vague promises of fixes which will be 'revealed' before June 15. Kind of sad that it is like this already. The game is only in its second month.

    pretty much, elder scrolls was never about challenge... apparently the devs aren't aware of this little detail...

    Funny thing when I see a Dev video showing some fights is like a VR15 Char doing VR12 Craglorn... (that is cheap, IMO).

    I'm wondering if they are not listening the testers on PTS nor the vocal playerbase in the forum, bug reports and feedbacks who we can blame for such disastrous decisions?

    VR5 Daodreth almost 17k HP now. Can be soloed without Ulitmate if one has the desire and room for several minutes of kiting. And you do not want to get hit very many times.

    Not really into it when I have to wade through one after another to get where I need to go. I can still sometimes kill 3 mob sets but it went from an okay challenge as long as I did not mess up to not fun any more.

    Threads on this been up for hours and I know of no acknowledgement if it was intended or if they are looking into it.

    Just...amazed.

    They probably going to investigate and will take maybe 2 - 4 weeks. Then maybe waiting for patch 1.2 to fix it.

    Indeed, not knowing is the worst part. Apparently the devs have time to respond about achievements and cosmetic racial motif drop rates but not to so much as acknowledge this massive stealth change.

    Adding my voice to a very loud chorus...

    This difficulty change is absolutely ridiculous.

    I just did an experiment a few minutes ago, with my VR7 Sorc taking on three VR5 mobs that I was able to beat yesterday after a very challenging fight. Those exact same three mobs absolutely pounded me into the dirt in less than 8 seconds today. I tried four different combinations of skills and tactics, and each time the outcome was the same, or worse.

    If this isn't a bug, then whoever commanded this change in VR difficulty is completely out of touch with reality (or has forgotten to turn off their dev god mode).

    The fun in this game just evaporated. VR content was already borderline too hard to start with. It's now virtually impossible.

    The only mobs I've found that haven't been buffed into SuperMobs are your bog standard grey wolves. So I guess I'm farming wolves now.

    Unbelievable.

    Thing is since these threads went up they closed that "I quit" thread so they have seen them. With no acknowledgement of our concerns, even if they say it was a bug and revert I will believe it was intentional and they wanted to see if it would slide.

    Which means were are treated like mushrooms by a company we pay for entertainment.

    Not good.

    V7 here, I was able to get some work in today, I don't wanna nearly die every time I try to do something as mundane as fighting normal mobs.

    I wouldn't find the hp increase too bad, if it wasn't for the fact my ultimate got nerfed into uselessness, so i can't even start a fight by removing one of the 3 mobs in a pack to make it a 2 vs 1.

    And i tried to fight this pack with 1 healer in it. After 6 minutes i gave up. I was able to kill one with veil of blades because the healer can't heal both of the other mobs it was with. The 1hander mob kept spamming heavy attack, and the other one kept healing, even if i interrupted as fast as possible, it would already have healed so much because the npc's healer heal based on %. Can't even try to stand on the healer take them out because the other one keeps spaming heavy attack. Then i gota heal myself, and well the cycle continued.

    I shouldn't have to give up and run away from normal mobs just because one of them is a healer. This would have been doable if they had half as much health, but when the healer just decides with 1 tick, at the beginning of the animation mind you, as much health that used to be their max hp...

    Eesh. Sure am I glad I did VR10 "Fires of Dune" last night before the patch. Storm Atronach and Harvester. Took my scrawny NB over an hour and probably 25 deaths for one quest. Even a 10% bump in difficulty would have been excruciating. More excruciating. It was already pretty bad.

    They have closed other threads since patch, so they have seen these. They have had ample time to pop in one of these VR threads and at least acknowledge with a "we will look into it" or "working as intended".

    Lack of doing so makes them look inept or untrustworthy and just lets the storm build.

    Foolish (or deceptive) on their part IMO. Prior to this I have been quite supportive but this is quite inexcusable.

    They deserve their barn burned down.

    As someone that's JUST gotten to vet.1, the thought of buffed harvesters makes me want to nope back to Skyrim.

    In my opinion this is not a mistake. It is an intentional stealth Nerf to slow players progress and to force grouping. It is also a suicidal move on part of the developers (in my opinion).

    On a personal note... playing NB, I was never able to comfortably take on more than two NPC's just with using NB skills only. My posts however got plenty of 'Learn to play' comments. Please forgive me...but I can not quite hide my smirk.

    Because if it is, youre supposed to cc break that.

    I believe black winter is the cone frontal attack that comes at you with the hands animation. I have not fought a harvester yet so I could be totally wrong.

    Two problems here, if people want to group in VR they do group content: PvP, 4 man dungeons, public dungeons, bosses, anchors.
    The VR8-10 go to the new zone.
    Questing is for solo play, plenty of quest situations you have to pull three mobs.

    The XP boost for kills was designed to make it easier to level with PvP or grinding.
    with the new VR12 level cap and endgame content its no reason to try stop people from reaching VR10.

    This sounds a lot like a bug where VR11 and 12 group content difficultly has been used on all veteran mob, some reports that normal mob has more health than one dot bosses, probably as the bosses was not affected by the bug.

    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Yea, there use to be mobs with less HP than others because of the type of damage output they could put out, now they all have 4.3k for humanoids and over 6k for animals in vr10 area, and they all hit much harder and slightly faster.

    Dear Zenimax,
    You have completely broken the game with yer fancy Craglorn patch. I was doing just fine last night questing and doing solo DG's in the vet 8 and 9 area with my friend. Difficulty was just fine.. died a fair amount of times but we still got stuff done. Now we cant even take on one mob of 4 cats because you shot them up with crazy insane *** your face juice. Strange how a game can go from fun to stupid and frustrating in just one day. I sincerely hope you apply a hot fix for this or I am pretty sure you will be losing many subscribers. I have been gaming since some of your devs were even born and this has got to be one of the worst if not truly the worst patch I have seen applied to a game. I was loving the game up until today. Now I cant kill anything without getting my face torn off,eyes plucked out, body ripped in half, and crapped on by super powered god monsters. Lets not even mention the fact most of my achievements are now gone. I am writing this lengthy comment because I cannot bring myself to play anymore tonight. I really really this is fixed very soon.

    Block? No worry, they'll still hit for a 500 swipe.


    Same mobs I was testing on. NB tank here. Had no problems with doing these packs as long as I blocked their special attacks. Now they are not doable with straight up tanking. I ended up having to cheese the mobs with stealth and resto-staff.

    I very much dislike that playstyle, so I logged off and am currently looking into other games.

    it radiates out in lines across the ground in all directions from the centre out and because i was in melee i caught two of them, it seems, at once haha.

    oh well, ill just chalk it up to a forced demonstration of the new death recap
