I don't see Warden refresh mentioned in the article.
Thought this would have been last stream before U51 PTS.
Guess there will be another one in the coming days?

Why was the Sage’s Vault renamed to the Nowhere Vault? I’m not sure that new name hits the same thematic resonance. My guess would be Sage is a term being used in Winterhold and the devs didn’t want conflicting titles.

i do not know why it got renamed, but it got named Nowhere Vault in the new Thieves Guild quests.
it makes sense to me that a Sage would not name their own vault Sage's Vault.

    Dear ZOS team,

While we always appreciate your streams and realise that the timing must be set around a number of different employees' schedules, could you please take care in future to avoid the weekly Guild Trader flip? Today's stream clashes perfectly with Guild Trader flip on NA servers, which is every Tuesday at 19:00 UTC (2pm EST or 3pm EDT).

Many Guildmasters and Trade Officers try to be in game for the Trader flip every week, so that if they do miss out on their bids, they can hastily try to find an open Guild Trader. Those of you who attended the Guild Summit last year will remember how much responsibility many Guildmasters feel for communicating changes in gameplay to their membership, especially Guilds which actively run prog groups for new Trials.

I would like to request that wherever possible, you consider the regular Guild Trader flip times on EU and NA servers when planning your streams.

    Thank you,
    ~baratron.
Guildmaster of the UESP Guild on the North American PC/Mac Server 2350+ CP & also found on the European PC/Mac Server 1700+ CP

These characters are on both servers:
Alix de Feu - Breton Templar Healer level 50
    Brings-His-Own-Forest - Argonian Warden Healer level 50
Hrodulf Bearpaw - Nord Warden Bear Friend & identical twin of Bjornolfr level 50
Jadisa al-Belkarth - Redguard Arcanist Damage Dealer level 50

    NA-only characters:
Martin Draconis - Imperial Sorceror Healer (Aldmeri Dominion) level 50
Arzhela Petit - Breton Dragonknight Healer (Daggerfall Covenant) level 50
Bjornolfr Steel-Shaper - Nord Dragonknight Crafter (Ebonheart Pact) level 50 EAGERLY AWAITING HIS BEAR

Is this stream happening? Its time and don't see it anywhere. Skinnycheeks is on, but no Bethesda or ZOS live stream as far as I can tell.

It was rescheduled for 2:30pm EST today, right?

Ahem ahem ahem - 20 minutes of Bethesda logo before the stream finally showed up. Twitch problem, but crate drops are tied to Twitch's timers. (And missed everything from start to the customizable HUD stuff).

It's a little weird that PC is natively getting the UI movement options when console isn't. Console has multiple add-ons that do that (although AFAIK Khajiit Feng Shui is the only one that allows movement on almost all of them.)

"Actively working on cross-play" is not really a good reason to leave consoles behind, again.

The antiquity lead chance change is SPECTACULAR. THANK YOU.
    The Nowhere Vault looks great!

Just wanted to follow up on this. Kira noted this on stream, but it is the need for UI team resources while working on Crossplay along with everything else. Crossplay uses a lot of the UI team resources. So we are launching this in beta on PC and will continue to work on improving it. When the UI movement is feature complete, then everyone (PC and Console) will get full access. This will also help the UI team more time to assist with the feature as it moves from beta to final release. Not the intention to have console feel like it's left behind. But we are making sure we are providing the best experience possible based on our team's bandwidth.

Damn, warden must really be giving you guys trouble with the refresh. I took off 2 weeks for this pts so the delay hurts me a lot. But warden launching in a completely broken state would hurt a lot more, so in a way i'm glad that pts is delayed.

I really hope the UI options have the ability to hide/move/remove the quest "crawl" in the middle of the screen.

The night market quest to kill 75 enemies with 5 lines going,
    Killed x enemies
    Killed x enemies
    Killed x enemies
    Killed x enemies
    Killed x enemies
For 10 minutes, completely covering the screen was ridiculous. Worse than the crafting dailies with,
    Craft
    Craft
    Craft
    Completed
    Completed
    Completed
It's often still going as I hit the 3rd crafting station.

    Make it stop! Lol

I'm so excited for u51. Thank you for finally addressing lead progression and many other things that have been longtime requests. I'm also excited for solo dungeons (both casual/story and challenge version) and Nowhere Vault. I know u50 didn't have a lot I was excited for and it had some nice things but it feels good to be excited about a patch again. I also appreciate delaying things instead of pushing through something that might not be ready/finished.

I can't wait for the pts and I will be doing a lot of testing when it drops. <3

Excited to test the Nowhere Vault when it comes to PTS.

Minor thing, but the model shown for the mount from today's stream is technically a quasigriff, not a regular gryphon.

Overall, not too bad of a stream.

One thing that could be improved is the audio/technical issues. I'm not trying to be nitpicky here, but they do seem to happen quite frequently and it distracts from the overall presentation. Streamers are able to figure these things out, so I think that's a fair expectation to have from a major game studio and its employees.

There also seems to be some focus issues where people go over their segments and then it turns into sidebars. It's nice here or there, but it starts to get distracting. Between those issues and the ads on Twitch, I'm honestly finding harder to tune into these. I want you guys to continue them, they're great, but just asking for a bit more polish here, that's all.

The other thing that I thought was needing improvement, is how you guys handle spam on streams. The Warden topic was brought up quite often, and I felt like it could've been handled much more openly. It felt like you were purposefully being avoidant and vague on a topic that you should know is sensitive. And especially after how the PVP and Cyrodiil topics have been handled, it's honestly pretty disappointing that this approach is still being used. It clearly doesn't work guys; you just make people more mad and then they double down. @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_GinaBruno

Those things aside, it was good to get some information on the upcoming features. The Nowhere Vault seems pretty appealing, especially with the mount as a reward. I just hope there's more beyond the mount so I can enjoy it long term like randoms and IA.

The QoL stuff is respectable. Nothing as "wow" as U49, but I'm still glad you guys are focused on making improvements. It's definitely appreciated. I will say though - it'd be nice to get something account wide armory slots. That's a big one. I don't really have many more pain points that I'm pining for. Maybe some the NPCs getting leashed or audio sliders for ambient dialogue, but that's not the highest priority.

Thanks for the stream, hopefully the next ones have some of the kinks worked out.

I know it's probably a bit early to give suggestions but I noticed the UI reorganization setting doesn't have a grid system or a "center UI element horizontally" button. I've found both of those features to be incredibly useful in addons that have them for easily lining up elements. I appreciate that we're getting more addons as base game features and love that I won't have to painstakingly set up my resource bars to show number and percent with every new character anymore, which is particularly relevant with the PTS experience (honestly I wish that and ultimate number was on by default but that's another thing entirely).

I do think y'all dropped the ball on not mentioning Warden at all. Even if it was just "warden is a big thing so we're not touching on it now but it'll be in a stream next month".

This isn't really a PC/console thing. It's a mouse/gamepad thing, since this thing won't work with gamepad on PC.

UI movement is WAY, WAY easier with a mouse than it is with a gamepad. Dragging something around with a mouse has existed in the base game since launch, while "dragging something around" doesn't even exist as a concept for gamepad. Yes, addon authors have gotten around that, but it requires writing a bunch of code to simulate the experience of dragging stuff around with a mouse, and even then it's still not as good of an experience as what you get with mouse (I know, because I wrote the library that KFS uses to do its gamepad UI movement).

The simple fact of the matter is that there is a large difficulty gap between getting this to work on mouse and getting this to work on gamepad, and the latter would require a lot more time investment than the former. So they could either delay the mouse version of this feature (so nothing for any platform in U51) until they get it working for gamepad too, or they could release the mouse version and get feedback on it. They made the right choice here.

So antiquity will be free for all, but the leads will still drop/ have to dig in places that aren't part of the base game? Isn't that a bit mean?

TBF, that's the way it's always been. For example, someone might have Greymoor and access to antiquities, but they haven't bought Gold Road. They run the base game Volenfell pledge and get a lead for Rourken Steamguards, which can only be dug up in West Weald. That's the way it is right now, and this doesn't change that. It does remove the "need to buy Greymoor" bit, which is pretty significant.

Hmm. I might be mistaken, then. I wonder if they mean "moving using gamepad" or "can be used to edit the gamepad mode HUD". I guess I'll have to see when it hits PTS, but I was expecting the latter, but not the former.

One of the arguments against Crossplay was always that it would take away significant levels of resources from other things, and over a long period of time as it isn't something that can be completed quickly. I guess that's something we'll just have to accept over the next year or so.

Thanks for this link. I'm glad to be able to watch this bit of the stream again without searching for it.

And thanks, @code65536 for writing the add-on library that allows us to move UI elements right now.

I had also forgotten the bit about a menu popping up whenever an element is clicked. Ugh. Making that smooth on console is gonna be fun.

Just came to rant... re: Leads becoming easier to get codex.

I have LITERALLY run some dungeons 40/50/100+ times to get a lead ONCE (yes I counted). It never happened. Ended up having to buy the leads from a vendor, grinding out special currencies in 1 week.

Currently spending 10M in gold on Solstice Treasure Maps for 3rd set of leads ( about 150 Solstice Maps).

I think having to run 15 PERFECT heists to get 1 LEAD (the FIRST time) or open 40+ thieves troves for 1 lead is RIDICULOUS.

Even if the drop rate on leads is "improved" to running dungeons 20x for ONE lead, or 1 week of perfect heists or 10 Treasure Maps per lead (instead of 15-25)... that's too much.

I may be online all day, but I'm grinding out gold for my guild and doing guild work. I barely have 1 hour of time per day to devote to other things. But I'm also CP3600 so nothing drops for me ever, anywhere.

Please stop punishing long time players by making everything so hard for us to get. Yes, I know new players need to feel like things are achievable, but long time players feel like we're being encouraged to leave - and with so many new things unable to be purchased, I've just about given up having codex completion anymore. I don't even have ONE copy of the new outfit station yet! Haven't found a SINGLE new furniture plan in Glenumbra!

So, I highly doubt "better" drop rates will make things any better. I'll still be forced to wait for leads to show up at vendors, because I can't spend literally all my time spamming dungeons or fighting for a few thieves troves spawns with all of PCNA.

I completely agree, and just think about what the drop rates mean for people who can't be online all day, but maybe only for an hour a day. I just don't understand these decisions—the game is supposed to be fun for all playstyles, but if even players with plenty of time are frustrated by the drop rates, why isn't it changed? The game is supposed to be fun, not frustrating!
