Anyone find the new DK visual design utterly DOMINATES the visual field in every group fight now?

I am okay that DK are the visual starchilds of ESO now.

But the visuals will probably be toned down anyway, older refreshs will be adjusted with the newer ones, and it will be a better world for everyone.

    Fingers crossed.

    DK animations are realistic...

My DK uses a two handed sword. The damage from a two handed sword comes from being hit by the heavy and sharp metal the weapon is made from. Bright red and orange lights do not emanate from this metal. So what is realistic about that?

You also glowed red after lifting said sword in the air for buffs and can swing around and around with it for an “execute” in the middle of a fight and somehow doing this in a 360 can grant a damage shield.

What are we doing here, yall in the wrong series if you’re big on “realism”. This is the same series where you can go from barely clearing a stick to jumping atop the buildings of the imperial city just from training acrobatics

I get that the visuals aren’t for everyone but the criticisms and arguments are pretty exaggerated
Zos then: Vengeance is just a test bro

Zos now: Do you want Vengeance permanent or permanent...

What I find exaggerated are explosions of light and sound when getting on a mount or recalling... or swinging a sword that has no realistic reason to be flashing. The visuals have been getting increasingly obnoxious for awhile now. Who are they targeting with this?

The trademark of The Elder Scrolls as a whole is a more muted visual palette. That is always why I have loved it. Effects are grounded and pragmatic throughout all the titles.

I also dislike the new DK visuals, and especially the sounds and animations.
    Auri-El is my lord,
    Trinimac my ward,
    and Magnus my mind.

Players can not like something, but not everyone will agree . I personally agree with ZoS on this subject and support them 100% on dragonknight.

It is part of the dragonknight identity now, and therefore it can not be changed because it is zos's plan and vision for the game.

if we start covering up dragonkinght skill styleing, then we lose their identity, because that is the only thing that identifies them to tell they are a dragonknight. they are not a small candle knight or a tiny fire knight, they are a DRAGON knight.

zos gave us dragonknight fresh identities and zos wants to keep them in tact. this is zos's decision and how they made the dragonknight look.

they are targeting people who appreciates the dragonknight class for real and who don't want to change their identity.

I would have a hard time identifying dragon knight now without this specific visual and I need to see it 100% because it is part of the dragon knight identity. I have a hard enough time telling a dragon knight apart and it would ruin my immersion and gaming experience to change their identity now. Especially since I can finally know who is a dragon knight.

zos made the skills like this because they did not want their identity hidden. it's their choice on how to make dragonknights look.

Sorry for my English, I do not always have a translation tool available. Thank you for your patience with our conversation and working towards our mutual understanding of the topic.

It would be great to have a "skill transparency" slider that would either reduce all the visual effects or completely remove them (if set to 0).
