Its as advertised, a difficult group zone.

Do you have a citation for that? The advertisements I found appear to advertise it as possible but difficult to solo, with optional grouping to make it easier.

That's as advertised. You can go in solo and survive. I wouldn't recommend it but people who can handle Arc 4+ alone should be able to handle the night market trash packs as well.

And there are players who can solo it. Probably not the Skirmishes, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are people who can solo some of the bosses. But the trash? Yeah, that's really not an issue - I'm soloing all of the trash I need for Dorfifar's quest every day.

But yes, it takes a high-end player to be able to do that. Like they said, it's tough to do for players who aren't already really experienced at soloing things.
Note that being really experienced at soloing things does NOT mean "I play all of the overland solo!" We're more talking about "I have Flawless Conqueror in vMA!"

On the subject of dailies however... there is something weird going on with those. Of the 6 shareable faction dailies, it would seem that only 3-4 can be shared with you. Every single group I tried sharing dailies with were not able to share more than that it seems, and i cannot figure out why. We even told each other which quests we had and which we had done for the day but they still could not share them. I thought it might be a difference in chosen faction, but given the amount of people I tried getting shares from, I don't think that's the case.

There are two factors that guide sharing the 5 Patron dailies: which quest it is and which Patron offerred it.

The five quests are the same from each of the three patrons and can be shared to anyone. However, like zone dailies, you can only have one active at a time.
The fun part is that there is a caveat that it’s one at a time per patron. So if three Eyes players are in a group, only one of the patron dailies can be active at a time, and then everyone must turn it in to share the next. But if you have a group with one member of each faction, all three of their quests can be simultaneously active because they originated from different sources (even though you turn them all in to your own patron). Even then though, there are five total so you will have to turn in to get the rest, provided players’ daily choice was not already completed.

Blood on the Sands from the vampire Khajiit is also unique and can always be shared once per day.

    Thanks for the insight.

I suspected it had something to do with the factions but since I cannot tell which faction players are in without asking it was confusing. I wish it was more streamlined.

What happens AFTER the Night Market ends?
Where will the entrance to the Night's Den house be located? Will players be able to exit the house in Fargrave when the Market is gone? Will there be an entrace somewhere in Fargrave?
Could the house be not shown on the map because you have not discovered it (as in did not run close enough to it)? I remember I had the same issue with some other houses where I had to run to them to make them appear on the map.

Because the only entrance to the Night's Den house is located inside the Night Market zone, it is currently undiscoverable on the PTS, since the portal to the market from Fargrave's Shambles district not active. I've been to where the portal is supposed to be when the Night Market event is on live, but there's nothing there.

Due to the timing of the event's start and the PTS character copy, no one on the PTS will have access to the house. We really need someone from ZOS to tell us what happens to the house when the Night Market event is over. @ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

Likewise, we need need to know what happens to the furnishings unlocked and purchasable through the Night Market's faction merchants. Will they be available for purchase after the event ends from another source or only purchasable during the event, or possibly only when the Night Market returns?

Do you really think that ZOS would be so foolish to give people a house and then yoink it and its contents away from people after the event? Can you imagine the pitchforks? I'm surprised people would seriously consider this to be a possibility.

In any case, yes, the house remained accessible after the NM closed during the U49 PTS.

My only serious feedback, which I may re-post periodically, is that the Night Market does not fit the vibe of its namesake. These are a few I have personally encountered around the world. It would be thematically appropriate for players to be able to purchase harvestable materials (columbine, dragon blood, dragon rheum) overland set pieces from all across the continent (or at least from daedric zones), parse food, combat food, drinks, furnishings, and all manner of other items from rows upon rows of stalls somewhere in the event zone. That is the essence of a night market.

@MidnightDuel May be I misunderstood you, and we are talking about different things. Now on live I can travel to Night Den from any wayshrine. All I need to do is click on a wayshrine, select Fargrave, click on Shambles, zoom in a bit and then click on the icon of the house.

Yes, the entrance is in the NM, but you can still travel to it (at least on live).
As for exiting, it might just deposit you in the zone from which you traveled (I'm just guessing here).

I'm a little late to the party for this feedback thread, but I wanted to chime in and offer my take after running through the Night Market for several days.

TLDR, this is the most fun i've had in an MMO in years.

Is it challenging? Yes. Does some of the content require large groups of people? Yes. But when those large groups aren't available, myself and a few friends hop in to do some district dailies, and we can continue our progress despite not having a zone full of players.

As far as the challenge level is concerned... it's fine. If my small group of roleplayers running non-optimized builds that are duct taped together on well wishes and concepts can clear stuff out, then anybody should be able to throw together a small group and get things done. Heck, my good friend and I will often sneak around the District when it's just the two of us to farm dailies and favor.

Could it use tweaking? Sure. There are some bosses that one shot you if you look at them the wrong way, and seemingly without tells.

Does the difficulty need to be obliterated? Please, for the love of god, no. Tweak, adjust, but please stick to your guns. I've been craving a challenge in ESO for *years*. Legit, *years*. Finally, I have something to sink my teeth into that isn't an organized trial, that allows for organic grouping with people in the zone, and has variety in the different objectives that are achievable with large and small groups.

Keep this up and myself and my friends will be sticking around for the long haul. We like a little bit of everything in our gameplay, and the Night Market certainly fills a gap that has been present in ESO for the better part of a decade.

    Feedback #7!

Today I attempted to take my dungeon core into Night Market. Well... two people had to drop out and we started with 3 people... then one invited friends... and then I invited friends... who then invited friends... and I invited random people we came across... and soon enough, we were a decently sized group. It actually feels difficult to stay as a small group. I was trying to stay as a small group... haha.

Regardless, I wanted to try 4-manning bosses. We were able to 4-5 man Sellistrix (spelling?), INCINERATION BEETLE (said in that voice from Blessed Crucible), and Ozezan. It didn't feel any harder than tanking a 12-man group killing the same bosses, it just took a bit longer.

We did the Skittering Skirmish and aside from the mage needing bashed immediately (wasn't, because no one slotted a range interrupt for this-- including me, who forgot I should and will continue to forget that I should, so people experienced a lot of death), it felt pretty smooth since most of us knew mechanics. The Sorrow's Friend Skirmish, however, feels disjointed with having to stop dpsing boss to go across the entire arena to kill a crystal-- but hey, I've never been a fan of Dread Cellar so maybe that's just my opinion.

I do keep encountering a bug where I cannot chain. I can use melee abilities like puncture I think but my chain and range taunt just don't work anymore. I think it might be from getting line of sighted one time or something, it gets fixed on death and maybe roll dodge? I'm not sure how it happened, last I noticed was during the Skittering Skirmish. I'll continue to monitor this for more information.

Interesting. For some reason, I assumed (after chatting with characters) that the Starlit Plaza would remain accessible just without all the NPCs but that the doors to the districts and the trial would be closed.

It would definitely be nice if ZOS would let us know before the NM closes what will remain and what will go, especially since this is the first time we've experienced an event zone.

After playing for half an hour to an hour every day, I must say this is yet another disappointment.

I like that you can't do it solo. We miss content that requires grouping other than the usual dungeon and trials. This is a good refreshment in that matter.

But the whole design of it... ugh. Quests are randomly scattered. You play for 20 mins and then you pick up random quests that tells you to do another full circle of the zone... And then you find another one... Quests should be located at the entrance so you can pick them all up and do in one run. Or even better - WORLD QUESTS like WoW has. PLEASE!

Bosses are stupidly designed. They have those stupid mechanics where they are invincible for some time or require some mechanics to make them vulnerable again. This is insane... We told you a hundred times this is no fun and you keep implementing it. Engaging and fun encounters doesn't mean invincible enemies but well-set difficulty with interesting mechanics. The most horrible example is the werewolf in Sorrow's Friend. You are just AFK in the night phase because there's literally nothing to do. You don't even know if you do any dmg to the adds because you can't see the HP, or dmg being done.

Rewards are lame. Simple as that. Nothing exciting to be found in the entire Night Market. Recycled sets are not necessarily a bad thing. Some people may be missing some and this offers a passive way to fill them up. But there's really nothing to be excited about. Can we finally admit being stuck at a single level of gear is simply not cutting it? Can we finally advance the gear higher and adjust the enemies accordingly?

The splinters and relic system is just annoying. There are people in groups who can bypass blockades and then there are those who must run around and potentially die because of it. Horrible design. And once you do unlock the relic? Nothing to be excited about. Just something you had to have so you can keep up with others.

Then there are many, many bugs. Quests which won't trigger (e.g., take a note, find a person...), bugged encounters which need to be reset to be fixed. How do you explain it to those random people who don't even bother to read the chat that we need to reset the boss? The boss just ends up being bugged forever. Also, who the f thoguht it a good idea to scroll a text of how many enemies we killed for 5 minutes?! First kill 25, then 50, and finally 75... these scroll on the screen forever! WHAT THE HELL!?

Some of the puzzles are just plain stupid. There's no way to solve them when there's a few other people just hitting the triggers all the time randomly. Not to mention there's no explanations of what you're supposed to do. OK, you can figure it out, np, but we're in an environment where you must group and people won't wait for you to solve a puzzle. Not alone. They will want to help. And they will unhelp. Horrible design.

Overall, frustrating experience with, yet again, nothing exciting to be earned or achieved. Just mindless running around and killing things. I expected some story to be had with the factions, but nope. They all seem to be designed differently but there's absolutely nothing to it. You just pick the one which has the best monster set. And yet again we have that stupid server-wide competition going on. Haven't you learned anything with the Writhing Wall? These are absolutely meaningless and only make an illusion of competition when in fact they are always unfairly set up and always meddled in with the ZOS even when ongoing.
