Maybe it glows and makes a sound? I don't remember, but if it says "hold" then that should be the clue.

Worked fine for me and I bought a bunch of stuff. I felt it was intuitive that I was in the process of buying one way or another after I quick-clicked at first. Only took once to realize I had to hold it, and that was without reading a tip that said "hold" lol.

I only figured it out by accident. And I didn't see anything that said "hold". Only the keybind that was very confusing.

All I saw was it keep saying "acquire/hold" and nothing happening.

I thought you said here that it said "acquire/hold". Anyway glad you figured it out in the end.

Haha, I could never figure out how to do rerolls because I kept trying to click on the 🎲 🎲 😆

I haven't tried it yet but this that's what I thought we were supposed to do.

This whole system is so not user friendly.

    The reroll is over here:

Thanks for showing that! I just didn’t notice it before when tentatively clicked on the dice and nothing happened. Actually, I had already finished all my challenges, but was wondering to see if I hit reroll I would get some more even though I knew I probably wouldn’t. 😂

The keybind said "acquire (hold)" but nothing indicated to just "hold" the keybind to purchase the item. I was only able to purchase the item by ignoring the keybind all together and just hard pressing the actual item.

The wording is confusing and should be changed to look like:
    Acquire (Hold)

That is still confusing to me. I would prefer if it said something like "Hold to Purchase" or "Long Press to Purchase". Just state it clearly.

Regarding the PC UI, I think at the bottom of the screen where it shows you your keybind for certain actions, it should show "Hold" right next to the button itself, rather than by the action of the button.

    For instance, if we see:
    [E] Redeem/Hold
    ...we should instead see:
    [E (Hold)] Redeem

This clearly divides the input/cause from the output/effect. This would make it clear that the input is not to press E, but rather to hold E. The output would be less cluttered and it wouldn't look like "Redeem/Hold" is the result of pressing E — "Hold" is meant to be an input, not an output.

"[E (Hold)] Redeem" is still not clear to me. It still comes across as "either do this (hold) or this (redeem)" rather than "do this (hold) to cause this (redeem) to happen". Although I much prefer the terms "purchase" or "buy" to "redeem".

[E (Press)] would mean to press E. That's generally redundant.

[E (Hold)] would mean to hold E. We don't usually hold keys when we are told to use them, so the distinction is necessary.

The text that comes after the button should tell you what activating that input would do. [E] Use means that pressing E will do the "Use" action on whatever the cursor or crosshair is over.

You can't "Hold" an item, but you can "Hold" a button. Likewise, you can't "Redeem" a button, but you can "Redeem" a reward — how do you "Redeem" a reward? By using the "Hold E" input.

It could be changed to say a lot of different things but if they are going to reword this (which I hope they consider) it would be beneficial to be as clear as possible. It doesn't get any more clear than "Hold E to Purchase".

I need to apoligize for saying the keybind said "Acquire/Hold" when it says "Acquire (Hold)". For some reason I kept seeing it in my mind as the other way, but both still appear as a toggle to me rather than a clear direction to hold to acquire. I corrected that mistake in my previous posts.

The guide on the official page doesn't cover all the questions that players can have,
    https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/guides/tamrieltomes

    Alcast's guide gives you a better insight/explanation
    https://alcasthq.com/eso-tamriel-tomes/
    https://alcasthq.com/eso-tamriel-tomes-challenges/

This. (Well done as usual, author Edenprime.)
Kind of expected with TES by now, but still unfortunate that the unofficial guide is much better.

I'm a "veteran" player and tend to keep updated and be in-the-know about things, test on PTS, etc. but I still found some parts unclear and had to seek answers in multiple places.

Idk about a whole tutorial (players tend to TL;DR those too) but I do wish that official Guide article and in-game Help page were more... guiding and helpful.
