I am not sure what the confusion is about?
You had to click on the daily rewards to get them, same thing here.

You can reroll activities and some give more points than others. I diden't know because i assumed the reroll affected all activities and not one at a time so i diden't use it.
And there is the problem of the tome caches you earn with eso plus that if opened expire at the end of this tome season (there are a lot of threads about this one).

So you can reroll some of the activities? Because I seem not to be able to and thought that was because I had started on some of the first ones. But then again, pressing F4 to get the UI up doesn't work for me either (as stated on a separate reply in the Bug forum).

You can also get the UI up by clicking on the Tomes Icon which is next to the Crown Crates Icon.
If you have re-rolls available(dice on left of screen) hovering over the challenge you wish to re-roll should bring the option up at the bottom right of the screen...... however I've just looked and one I've started obviously wont re-roll BUT of the other four (which I haven't started)only two are giving me the option to re-roll so seems to be pretty bugged/broken atm.
EDIT:- Ok I am walking away from the forums because I just noticed the two that didn't give me the option..... I HAVE completed part of them!!
Haha, I could never figure out how to do rerolls because I kept trying to click on the 🎲 🎲 😆

I haven't tried it yet but this that's what I thought we were supposed to do.
This whole system is so not user friendly.

When I hover over the stuff I want and click the E (acquire/hold) button, nothing happens. None of my seals or trade bars increase and my tomes points are not being spent. Disabled my addons and that didn't help. So frustrated. Tried to get help but there's no category in customer support for this. Any advice?

If you hover over the Tomes icon next to the Crown Crate icon it will tell you which key you need to press to open the interface.

I was having the same problem then I accidentally hard pressed it and it worked.
I can't figure out why they put a keybind with "acquire/hold" if it doesn't do anything. I can't even figure out what "hold" is supposed to do anyway.
This is the most confusing system so far. Even worse than subclassing.

Thank you for telling me that you hard pressed it and it worked for you. It worked for me too. I think what it should have said that to acquire that prize, you have to hold down the E "acquire" button. (I play on PC). You just can't click it quick. Thanks for relieving my stress. I truly appreciate it.

I didn't hard press the "E". I hard pressed the item I wanted to purchase and that bought it for me.
I still don't understand the whole "acquire/hold" thing. It looks like a toggle of some sort. I just don't get it.

Other games work like this because instead of two button presses (one to select the item, another to confirm) you only have one button press (hold the button to confirm, prevents accidental presses). This reduces the number of times you need to press buttons.
ZOS should adopt this technology into other parts of ESO. This game uses similar mechanisms like pulling up a text box and asking you to write text to confirm, or pulling up a prompt asking you to press the same button again to confirm. This new tech could improve the flow of the UI and save the user time.

Other games can use whatever systems they want but this is brand new to ESO and just copying how other games do things does not make it intuitive here.
I still do not understand holding a button so we don't accidentally claim an item we didn't mean to. They should just say "long press to purchase" and stop toggling between things that are unnecessary and make no sense.
I find this extremely confusing and hope they never change our current systems to something like this.
Is it really that hard to figure out though? If you quick press you can easily see it wasn't claimed, but that it begins the slider bar for completing the purchase.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to add the instructions in the UI somewhere I suppose. Or they could have done an "are you sure" pop-up window. But I'm sure this is to save their CS people form hours and hours of tickets from people who click on things quickly by accident and buy something they don't want.

What slider bar for completing the purchase? All I saw was it keep saying "acquire/hold" and nothing happening. I did not see a slider bar or anything else to indicate that I was purchasing the item.
And how would anyone know there is supposed to be a slider bar when it's not something that has ever been used in the 12 years that ESO has been around?
The UI for Tomes is the most confusing thing I've ever seen and not explained at all.
Maybe it glows and makes a sound? I don't remember, but if it says "hold" then that should be the clue.
Worked fine for me and I bought a bunch of stuff. I felt it was intuitive that I was in the process of buying one way or another after I quick-clicked at first. Only took once to realize I had to hold it, and that was without reading a tip that said "hold" lol.
