The whole point of bringing Night Market back multiple times is to play each faction to get all rewards.

Same. I'm hoping the base house is easy to get. Because I mainly use houses as port points, I don't care about getting more rooms, etc. And if the base house isn't easy to get, I'll just skip it.

If the whole design of the Night Market is to encourage faction swapping, then it should not have competitive rewards for getting your team in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place.
After three times, people will have no reason to swap factions anymore. Then they'll jump on the same faction if the Night Market returns a 4th time to guarantee a 1st place win.

They won't in the normal sense. Your faction choice is account bound but will reset when the night market leaves and comes back another season (someone told me in the winter).

3x dyes = do all three. Easy.
Fashion is the true endgame. And while I totally should choose a faction based on the lore... the only thing I really care about for the Night Market is getting those dyes, and I'm going to be choosing them based on the order I like them.
Also, for anyone wondering:

Some of the quest was a little wonky for me on the PTS, some of the quest markers didn’t seem to work right and there was a bit of running around to do but that was about it from what I can remember.
Getting the house just requires you to complete the Night Market introduction quest that you can pick up from the Crown Store or near the portal in the Fargrave's Shambles, no further quests are necessary after that. Access to the additional wings of the house and the built-in bank will require participating in Night Market's activities though.
