Waiting to see what happens, not hopeful.

After months of devaluing daily logins, many players have likely been conditioned to see them as pointless. For years, though, they were something I genuinely looked forward to… especially the daily and weekly endeavors.
Now it feels as though we are being asked to jump through more hoops to earn the same rewards.
Most of the time I come to the forum to complain (in hopes of things getting better) but today I need to share my appreciation for something that actually got better.
Yesterday I logged in, stood in my home just feeling lost for a minute and logged out again, which was a very weird experience after 6 years of doing dailies. It will probably keep feeling weird for quite a while, until we are all used to the new system, but seeing the pursuit today made me very happy. Spreading what was tied to specific days and weeks across the entire month gives us so much Quality of Life of back, and I mean our real lifes. I know its just a transition solution for this month but I hope what comes after will be as good or even better. The thought of not having to take my laptop to every trip anymore, just to satisfy my stupid fomo, takes quite the weight off my shoulder. Nearly 3kg of weight to be precise.
And since I scrolled past some hoarder flex:
I deleted a lot of stacks a while ago but my poor mules still sit on
13724 Lethal Poison
3k other Poison
12466 Tri-Pots
3,1k other Pots
833 Meals
482 Drinks
156 riding lessons
630 repair kits
387 research scrolls
and 530 exp scrolls
all from daily rewards :,)

5 uses of "neurotic," twice paired with "whingers" on this page of comments. If you would like people to listen to your arguments, maybe lighten up a bit on that?Quoted post has been removed

Contrary to some hysterical clucking the sky has fallen, this change did not materialise out of thin air, nor was it unleashed upon us in some sinister grand act of developer betrayal. It came directly from one of the most common feedback topics raised over time. The information exists. It has been posted. It has been spoken about. It has been explained. Repeatedly over the months leading up to the change.
The narrative pushed by some here that communication has somehow failed is nonsense. The developers communicated through the same official channels they have used for years; the launcher, forums, announcements, articles, twitch, and so forth. Places that take all of thirty seconds to check, and everyone has access to at least one of these. If there is any real issue here it is not a lack of information, but an apparent expectation by some that it should arrive effectively gift-wrapped, personally delivered, and impossible to ignore.
And what are we talking about? Arguably, a minor system change. At some point, personal responsibility has to enter the conversation. If someone chooses not to keep up with official news, that's perfectly fine, but surprise and sometimes temporary confusion afterwards is the natural consequence of that choice, this is not evidence of developer failure.
It is perhaps harsh, but; stop blaming everyone else and look at what you can improve to make things more enjoyable for yourself in future. The cycle of confusion, blame, and exaggerated grievance every time something shifts even slightly has become far too common on these forums over the years.
Exactly. In the discussion yesterday one of my guild mates asked what we even did before endeavors were in the game. It was crafting dailies. And Pledges. I stopped doing those years ago but they are still there. RND, BG, WBs, the various zone dailies, they are all still there. If one needs a fixed thing they can do each day to get started playing, theres a wide range of options to choose from. Just pick the one you like most or one that progresses a pursuit at the same timeI mean, there is still a couple of incentives to log in daily, such as collecting mats from hireling mails if you invested skill points into this, or looting the daily Dragonguard supply chest in Tideholm for some rare alchemy ingredients incl Rheum.
