Update 49 is less than two weeks away at this point! What part of the upcoming update are you the most excited about?

I'm personally really excited for the Night Market event zone, though I don't have a use for the Skill Scrolls sourced from there. I'm ready to have more inventory space with the heightened Transmute Crystal cap, and I hope more players will discover that they can play as a werewolf or a vampire in this game via the NPCs who make it easy to obtain and swap curses. The refresh to Two-Handed looks exciting, too!

I'm really excited to get my main set up with his new kit. Both my overland for-fun setup, and my pureDK dungeon running setup.

But I'm really looking forward to the end of the month - I'm assuming we'll get the U50 PTS going up around then, and I have a few things to check out there. I can't wait to play with my werewolfbear and see how the updates there look, and I'm desperately hoping for a way to make him less of a meme (and praying that I'll actually be able to give him a proper bear form at some point). I also need to test a few things since I've finally decided that I need to swap two of my characters around because my Necro's character has developed into something that just doesn't fit (and I have a new Necro character), so I need to just test one thing before they get the full swap. And the upcoming Class Mastery sounds so cool and I can't wait to play with that.

Lol I was literally just thinking about posting this exact question.

I'm honestly pretty excited for this year's content. There's a lot to look forward to.

I'm most excited for the outfit slots. I am so jazzed to get my alts all decked out with some cool outfits. I have been planning a few since they announced it. I'm excited to lean more into my characters' themes and do some light RP like specific outfits per climate or per role.

I'm also looking forward to the improved horse training. I have 3 toons sitting at 39 stamina on their horse training, just waiting for that to release so I can wrap that up in a week rather than 3. I wish they had just made it like bag upgrades, but it's still an improvement.

The free skill and attributes changes will be great for some experimentation. My sorcerers especially - looking forward to not having slots taken up for pet vs. non-pet builds.

Lastly, the DK rework seems promising. I'm not sure how much I'll play with them just given that I've already completed the game on 3 of them. But still, looking forward to that. I'm sure I'll have a night or two with them.

I'm very excited for the Night Market. I've always loved planar things in fantasy realms and exploring them and I am excited we're getting further expansions on Fargrave's lore. I've fallen in love with the factions and their various quirks and styles. I just wish Night Market was permanent with periodic updates and didn't have downtime. Either way, I'm counting the days til Night Market is live and ready to have a blast with friends in the zone. <3

I'm more curious than excited. I guess I'm looking forward to some of the QoL improvements like the transmute crystal limit increases.

Edit: Oh, the 30-day item listing period for guild trading, definitely looking forward to that!

I wouldn't say I'm excited about any of it but there's a lot of things that will benefit me.

The housing slot increase/reshuffle will be nice and means I'll have many more notable houses than I started with

The faster research will cut months off. I think I had about 5 months left to go but that'll be reduced to less than 2. I'll probably even get around to starting on my alt account

Obviously the free respecs will be good and mean I can look at levelling all the morphs, especially with the backbar XP

Treasure maps will be so much easier to manage and it'll be nice to be able to donate them to guildbanks now the unique tag is finally being taken off

I'm even looking forward to daily rewards going away. It'll take away the push to log in every day and means I'll only need to log on to my alt account when there's something I actually want to do. It's been really nice building up a stock of xp and research scrolls but I think getting the time back will be nicer

I have mixed feelings about the night market. I think it's great they're trying something new and getting a new house with a built in banker (with guild access!!) will be lovely. I'm a little nervous about the reported difficulty level and need to group tho. I'm worried my anxiety will stop me from finishing it

I'm not so happy about the 100 telvar cap to queue out of IC. I never farm it and outside of events only go there for the crafting and vendor areas. I'd be happy to just not collect any tbh, but it's automatic with kills, so if you need to fight your way in you then can't easily leave

I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head!

    Furniture limits.
I have huge plans for free rooms with new limits, including all-sets crafting hub with banker and trader. Already checked on PTS, everything important can be placed even without ESO+.
Trying to collect enough attunable stations before update, to make it finished from first day! Have 74/83 sets now...

For bigger houses it's nice too, but there I mostly have ESO+ cap, so will have to wait until free ESO+.

Outfit slots are nice too. Have more than I need on one character and another character is in desperate need of more...

Very mixed feelings about Night Market. House is nice, vault is great, but without ESO+ you can't even place all items you get with unlocking rooms, and vault was changed for banked gold and I never bank gold... And mobs difficulty is insane. I love to do events outside from primetime, to actually see something, not just flashes and effects. And it feels like there is no way to enjoy this one.

Tel var cap is also absurd. You can get 100 Tel Var just by sneezing too loudly.

Houses: Erstwhile Sanctuary as actual Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, Hunter's Glade as werewolf tavern (downstairs), Strident Springs Demesne as adventurer's house.

QoL updates seem great, Class refresh for DK, Night Market although I am sad it already got nerfed and I am actually excited got Tomes.

I know it's unpopular to be excited for new monetization method, but I like getting stuff and I am not against premium price tag. Also Tomes seem much more fair than typical Battle Passes.
For those who don't know once you buy premium version of the Tome you can unlock its content even when the season ends. And I am type of player that either plays all day every day for a month or nothing at all.

Other than that I am waiting for overland difficulty, but the way they explained it so far seems it will not be that good.

Generally I wasn't that exiced for update since Necrom dropped.

Excited? Nothing. I'll enjoy the QOL updates. I don't care about the Night Market. I have a dragonknight alt I created ages ago and never play. I might play her a bit to see the changes, but I don't plan on playing her beyond that. I'll check out the tome, of course.

Season 1 will be more interesting for me. New story content, and hopefully a warden class I'll still enjoy playing.

QoL stuff will be great, but I'm expecting day one will be spent visiting stables to get all the mounts I can buy with gold :D

Then my DK will get a new build/gear and drag some guildies into the Night Market. Then maybe try some PvP with my DK.

Once I'm tired of roasting my enemies, I'll probably add some more deco to my homes, because that's the real end game in ESO....

    More outfit slots.

I'm very poor after the latest few weeks of the special furniture vendor, so I haven't been rearranging my outfits in anticipation of the shared outfit slots.

I clearly don't have gold to buy any mounts, but I may pick up one or two later on.

I‘m looking forward to stackable maps. I‘m excited about the raised furnishing limits in some of my homes. I hope, they‘ll find a way to increase the limit in notable homes, soon. It‘s the huge homes that need the increased limit the most.

I don‘t know about Tomes since I don‘t know most contained rewards and challenges yet.

I‘m more excited for U50‘s class mastery.

I am also excited for Update 50 for the reasons you both described. In particular, I want to see what new changes await Werewolf, and I want to see what the other Class Mastery passives are so I can decide which werewolf characters of mine I decide not to subclass on — there's a few Class Mastery passives in there that can be useful for werewolves, so for the first time in a long while I'm actually excited to remain pureclassed with a Werewolf build! Finally, we can have more build options for Werewolf playstyles and our human forms can have a thematic identity.

Since I didn't see this on the dev tracker (or even a "moderator response" icon next to the thread) I'd like to call attention to this bit of information given to us, to temper expectations and get us more excited for possible upcoming changes to Werewolf:
    ZOS_Erin wrote: »
Thank you very much for compiling your thoughts about potential improvements to the Werewolf! After reading through your post, the team wanted to chime in on a few points:
    • We agree that not having a bite attack for the Werewolf is a missed opportunity and we are looking into ways to address it.
    • Based on feedback from our Dragonknight and Two-Handed refresh work, we are continuing to look at ways to provide unique animations in our skill lines while still reusing certain animations where it makes sense. We are keeping this line of thought in mind as we work through the Werewolf refresh as well as other classes in the future.
    • We agree that the heavy attack for the Werewolf looks a bit too 'friendly' at the moment, so we are working through potential options to address this.
    • On the topic of Werewolves being able to sneak and/or crouch, we have seen this request from our Werewolf players for many years. While we aim to consider community requests, it is not a simple process to just enable this functionality for Werewolves. It's more than just animations - it's about ensuring that behaviors, detection, logic, and interactions all function appropriately. Also, there are intentional 'gives and takes' that need to be considered for both the lycanthropy and vampirism playstyles. It is a complex effort to balance and undertake, so we want to level set that this is currently out of scope for the Werewolf refresh that will be happening later this year.
    • Cinematic kills are something we're actively discussing, but there are still some questions about where it makes sense for them to be used. We will provide more updates when we can.

Please continue to provide us with your thoughts and opinions - we hope that this insight is beneficial for leading further constructive conversations regarding the Werewolf refresh.
