Had a heck of a time even getting the ONE HIT needed to do the quests for that area. I'd see the ghost, go towards it and... it was dead before my attack could go off.
Zenimark can say they're "working on it," all they want, but until I stop seeing so many bots flying through the air, tunneling under the ground, and running in trains, I won't believe it. Having a GM come on and announce they are there is like turning on the light in a questionable motel room... the cockroaches just vanish until the lights go off again.

But honestly, the game is awesome and I dont know whats worse. A bot stuttering through the cave wall carrying MY Iron or a player sprinting and overtaking me to be the first at the iron node.
1000% this.
What was so awesome about Oblivion and Skyrim was the threatening setting of dungeons and the wilds. You just never knew what was around the next corner and it involved careful planning.
I don't know if the combat options improve, but just having 5 abilities really sux.
First off, I do love the game. Just wanted to get that straight.
But when bots are running rampant through a quest area killing all the mobs meaning there is no impediment to doing the quest, you're walking from A to B and then back again, it renders it somewhat meaningless. When you know there should be mobs between you and your objective, but there's a bot-train running them all down. Robbing you of fun, use of tactics, and XP from dealing with mobs between A and B when you're questing.

Also, report them. There is an add-on out there that can help with this. Complaining about the bot problem yet not actively reporting them is like complaining about a politician but 'you' never vote. Yes it takes like, 2 minutes out of your time, and I've reported more people than I care to count, but I do it in hopes that they get stopped.
I have reported many many bots, but I don't want to stand around reporting bot after bot. I paid my sub to play, not spend half an hour of my paid time reporting bots. I appreciate that doing so may (and I say may with a degree of doubt) help the situation, but after reporting so many and seeing no reduction. it gets a bit disheartening.

I got it, and it works wonderfully.

Who says there is no reduction? You do realize a report doesn't automatically ban them, right? There are protocols to look into things to make sure.
I've seen days with no bots, and days with tons. I guess since I've played MMOs since 2001 I'm a bit more jaded. I don't let one little thing ruin my fun. I've been through the FF14 bot fiasco (which was just as bad as here with many innocents being caught in a net, banned for over 2 weeks etc) so I know things start getting ironed out after time.
Please don't get me wrong, I dislike bots too. But I also won't lose sleep or let it ruin my enjoyment of such a lore rich game.

Communication could make a difference. But there's none to speak of.
The main issue is that we see lots of bots and only half-arsed measures to tackle them, at best. We do not know what's really going on. ZOS, please do enlighten us.
(If I missed official announcements, which are less than two weeks old AND contain more than the usual blah blah, do share! I'd really love to stand corrected on this one!)

anyway, seeing as it's looking for "lols" and "agrees" I'll leave it an agree and hope it makes it's day, enjoy.

Botters could see what Zenimax is doing and change accordingly. If Zenimax keeps it secret the bots won't know what to do. Though if Zenimax just took the game down for maintenance for a few weeks perhaps the bots would leave. I wouldn't mind not being able to play for a few weeks if it meant no more bots.

Why have there been no posts about this???

still trying to figure out how people know bots are underground doing this ... maybe they are just invisible
