I'm afraid that the BOTS and empty dungeons have ruined this game for me.

I've really tried to just ignore it. But, no matter where I find myself, all I see is BOTS running, floating, flying... #@#! you name it !@#* around. Pointless quests (only because the actual objective intended for the player has already been strip-mined by machines!) that have zero excitement in them because of the constant camping by BOTS. By the time you get to a dungeon its $%^& empty!!

I've tried to run around empty dungeons but sorry this is just going nowhere.

The first time I heard a prominent podcaster raging about the open world mechanic regarding spawning, I thought to myself, "Jeez... it can't be all that bad?!"

"@%#, was I wrong!!"

Sure kills all the fun. Yeah, I'm sad to say and as much as I don't want to, but I'm thinking about leaving until the problem is reduced to a tolerable level.

I agree. I feel that I have completely wasted my money buying this game. It's certainly not the game experience that was advertised.

I agree, at least in the vet zones the dungeons are not always precleared. But to run through an empty dungeon (which are in 9/10 cases also very very small) is no fun.

I don't understand how this is even allowed to reach this level.

Why not randomize the spawn location of the NPC's?

Even the Creation Kit used NavMesh so they should be able to ensure that the NPC's do not spawn into walls etc.

Add a timer to the bosses. You kill the boss you are removed from the map back to the nearest shrine and 24 hour timer imposed.

Want to check for which accounts are running bots? Add a trigger to report collision because from what I see all the BOTS toons appear to ignore collision. and

I don't feel like I wasted my money. I knew that games can be broken and | or botted for months after release. It's a time issue for the dev teams to fix bugs or ban bots. However, this is one of the most severe bot infestations that I have witnessed in quite some time.

While I can appreciate that Xenimax is doing something about the bots by sending in GMs to deal with some of them, there are too many now. I wouldn't say that I left the game for another game because I and my husband still have our subscriptions. I will keep them open. But, I do find myself playing way less than before.

I'll probably keep an eye on ESO while they work out the bots and the bugs that plague it. Then, I'll play more when it's at a tolerable level.

Remember all of those CGI trailers where we saw the massive groups of soldiers from each faction fighting eachother? Those were bots, silly! They were advertising the game correctly, as there are more bots than players on-screen most of the time!

I guess we're all aware of that. The problem at hand is the amount of bots.

I can only assume that you no longer have a wish to play any new and or popular MMO since they all have the same issue with bots.

The amount of bots is no different to other MMO's it's just they are more noticeable on here (mega-server) If WoW or any other MMO that is split across a ton of servers was to merge into one, ESO's bot situation wouldn't look anywhere near as bad.

I've been played MMO's for nearly 6 years. Star Trek Online I've been playing for just over five years. I have never once seen a bot in the game. Been a Alpha & Beta tester for numerous. And no, not all new MMO's are like this.

I'm assuming you regard this was normal then? Because if you do, I think you have been playing the wrong games.

    What am I missing.
I dont see them in the dungeouns public anymore at all. With the loot lockout timer being longer there is no point.
Also you have GM actually coming into zone and actively telling people to report so they can manually smash them (never seen this level of engagment in 10 yrs of wow)

This sounds like plants and dribble from Blizzard or something it has no bearing on the real situations of the game

Get a grip people - its like complaining to police that there are people speeding and blaming them. Its a part of the world we live in. Also its a really good display of the difference between 1st World and 3rd World (them) - that they can work all day just to produce virtual currency for the money I wouldnt wipe my butt with.

I know the bots are a pain .. but I've ran several lower level dungeons in the last week on my alt and I don't think I've seen a single bot in them. Yes I see them on the nodes and stuff but none in the dungeons.

Get a grip?! Excuse me - last time I checked I payed real life money for a product + a subscription on top of that for a quality experience. I will get a grip when I get the quality I was promised.

I would not have bother with the grip, had I known I would be dealing with hundreds of exploits throughout my gaming experience.

PS. "I dont see them in the dungeouns public anymore at all" you lost credibility in your opening sentence. In the first 15mins on tonight I counted 34, three of which were flying through the air...

First off, I do love the game. Just wanted to get that straight.
But when bots are running rampant through a quest area killing all the mobs meaning there is no impediment to doing the quest, you're walking from A to B and then back again, it renders it somewhat meaningless. When you know there should be mobs between you and your objective, but there's a bot-train running them all down. Robbing you of fun, use of tactics, and XP from dealing with mobs between A and B when you're questing.

Yip guys that don't think there's a problem, really need to roll a new toon and see what newcomers experience. I've been playing least than a week, and this is where I find myself? Yeah, no problem here.

I used to farm nodes as an option when the latest unbalanced boss was annoying me - I used to have fun helping out lower level players with the dolmens & random events on my route.

Now it is all about bots - my current theory is that ZOS are taking whatever they can from the PC game before killing it and investing in the console version.

Essentially we are paying to do beta testing & ZOS are doing fraud.
